Finally the Environmental Protection agency is considering make road testing of vehicles mandatory to determine average miles per gallon. The new guidelines are expected to include no watering of lawns more than twice a week, no runoff from the sidewalks and no washing of cars unless you have a shutoff nozzle on your hose. Were trying to set the bar, raise the floor to make clear to people that we are in a very serious drought and that everybody should be helping out. Earlier this year governor jerry brown urged water users to cut water consumption by 20 . But they have seen consumption increase 1 statewide.
