The truck drove through all the securities and we are hearing guns being shot. Reporter witnesses ran from an apocalyptic scene. I heard the loud noises and people started screaming and shots being fired up in the air. [ sirens ] reporter the truck reportedly plowed into people for over one mile before police managed to engage the driver. They fired shots into the truck. The windshield was riddled with bullets. The driver was killed. Police say the truck was loaded with arms and grenades. The city of nice put in place its emergency protocol, advising everyone to shelter in place. The french president met in an emergency session in paris. Theyve opened an investigation for murder, attempted murder and an organization linked to a terrorist enterprise. This attack happening right as france began to breathe a sigh of relief from terror. The president of france saying he was just about to end the state of emergency but now that has been extended an extra three mont mont months.
