Lilian kim and Spencer Christian will have more on the heat watch, but first lets check in on the fire burning in the south bay. It started in a landfill in san jose. Tiffany wilson is live at the scene with the latest. Tiffany . Reporter i spoke with one of the owners and he said he had no idea how the fire started, but since it started it proved difficult to put out. If you look over my shoulder you can get a live look at the smoke. At this hour it is very heavy and in fact they are telling people that live in the area if they are bothered to shut their windows and shelter in place. Fire crews are expected to be on scene throughout the night and into the morning hours. A churning wave of smoke filled into the land fill arching below the fields below. The ash began as mounds of mulch piled more than a dozen feet high. The wood chips are not only in the fire, but spreading. They are floating through the area and setting off the small fires. Winds whipped up the delay of one of the seven responding engines. Fortunately they were able to stop the secondary fire before it spread. When officers arrived, family members were performing cpr, but the 1yearold was not responsive. Officers took over until paramedics got there. Concord police say they are now trying to figure out what was happening at the house before that baby fell into the pool. High winds and low visibility underwater forced divers to suspend their search for four men now presumed dead after their boat capsized yesterday. The men were in a shallow part of folsom lake east of sacramento. Investigators dont know why the boat flipped, but they said that part of the lake is dotted with small islands. Divers are expected to be back in the water tomorrow. The pilot of a small plane was detained and released after making an Emergency Landing in a high security area.
