Neighbor Louis Hernandez said they asked the suspect to surrender for 15 minutes. They said, everything will be okay, everything will be okay, just come out, but he would not. Reporter the police have not said why, but two officers eventually fired at the suspect. He died at the scene. No officers were injured. Was there a firearm recovered . Thats still in the preliminary stages of the investigation. New this morning, a stabbing victim recovers at San FranciscoGeneral Hospital after being attacked at 6th and mission streets this morning. The stabbing happened at 7 30 avm. Police took one into custody. The intersection was closed for hours after the stabbing. Investigators have not released amotive. Happening now, pge is working to restore power after a huge tree fell. The tree took out power lines and power poles on prospect street before 8 00 last night. They are taking the tree apart. 2,000 customers lost power. They turned lites back only for most people, but the remaining 35 customers will not have power restored until after 8 00 tonight.
