H. P. Says the two minute video was a snippet of 10 or 12 minute ordeal on southbound 680 on the afternoon of saturday october 11. The video shows the motorcyclists speeding, doing wheelies and standing on their seats. C. H. P. Says the unidentified officer tried to pull several over and approach by a motorcyclist who waved his hand in a motion while exchanging words. The officer said to slow down and stop driving recklessly and he was making statements about the safety and the illegal aspect of the way they were driving. After this, the officer sped off and the group of motorcyclists celebrated and the c. H. P. Says the officer pulled on to the shoulder and waited for backup. The group got off at the exit in san jose. No one was arrested or cited. Stunts were posted on youtube and i was mailed and he said he was sent the video from an anonymous motorcyclist and c. H. P. Was made aware of the video and just started the investigation. I reviewed the video and there is nothing i saw that was easy to identify but i have not looked at it from an investigative standpoint. C. H. P. Says the officer did the right thing in this situation. If the motorcyclists are caught, they could face several charges including reckless driving and evading a Police Officer. Traffic along northbound 880 in san leandro is moving at this hour after a change reaction crash involving four big rigs. It happened two hours ago near the davis street onramp blocking two lanes of traffic for 45 minutes and at least one of the trucks leaked fuel causing lane closures. No one was hurt.
