Oaklands children hospital. It was supposed to be routine. In is such a painful story to talk about, such a painful story to hear about. 13yearold came to childrens to deal her sneep apnea and have mom, i dont want do have the surgery because something will happen to me. I will have to deal with that every night. Something went terribly wrong after the surgery that, today, a breathing machine keeps her breathing. Doctors have declared her brain dead leaving the family in agony. I dont have any tear no more because i am all cried out. Im angry. I have been here for seven days. I am scared they will do something to pull my baby off of the machine. The family is so devastating. Her teachers, her friends, everyone is in a state of shock. The parents say in a few hours of what should have been a simple operation she began coughing up massive amounts of flood. Even four transfusions couldnt prevent a heart attack. The hospital says at some point, she will have to come off of life support. But her mom says, not if the family has anything to say about it. I believe in god. I believe he will put life back into her and i refuse to let them take her off of the machine. I will not let them. I am for keeping jahi alive. They will have to carry me out of here. I will not leave without my daughter. So, the hospital is updating a statement later on today and will tell us about their side but in a Statement Issued over the weekend a spokesman for the hospital said the hospital is sad about the outcome and goes on to say that well certainly investigate what happened. In any surgery there erics and there can be unexpected unanticipated cons or complications. Family members are here in and out, up to 20 a day, watching over jahi hoping that something miraculous will happen but that is not the story they getting from childrens hospital. Hopefully well have more from childrens for you, later today.
