As we look at rainfall totals projected totals, most of the bay area can expect only a few hundredths of an inch of rain from this system. But starting at santa rosa and moving northward, you can see well receive anywhere from two to about 3 10 of an inch of rain from this system. Police say a Family Member brought the boy to the hospital yesterday morning and the toddler had at least one gunshot wound. No arrests have been made. Screams to call 911 led police to the scene of a homicide near overlook road in the Berkeley Hills as a neighbor reported hearing people screaming for help. Officers arrived shortly after noon to find a woman stabbed several times in the chest. Our media partner, the bay area news group, reports police learned that the suspect had chased a man who had been at the house to a nearby home. He was stabbed along with a woman whom police say was a bystander. The suspect then fled the scene in a car and was later arrested by berkeley police. They say the attack was not random in the south bay. Now, three people are recovering from injuries after being run over by a driver in san jose. It happened at alum rock and stewart avenues at around 2 a. M. Police say the driver appeared to intentionally hit the victims, then quickly left the scene before officers arrived. A motive for the hit and run is still unknown. Happening now, a highway in the south bay is shutow this weekend. The northbound lanes o highwa sanose closed last night between julian street and highway 85. Crews are working on a major lane resurfacing project there. The closure is expected to run through five monday morning. Another closure is set for the weekend of october 20th when the southbound lanes will be repaved. Now back to that storm system offshore going into the forecast animation midday on monday, well see that frontal system swinging down into northern california. Itll bring a few light scattered showers to the bay area. Not much rainfall here, but enough to clean the air, bringing us a better air quality and of course, diminishing the chance of any wildfires. So when we go to the accuweather seven day forecast and here it is, well have mild weather for the next two days, even with the showers coming in on monday and once again those showers wont amount to much. Most locations will see only a few hundredths of an inch of rainfall. And for the remainder of the week after monday, itll be mainly sunny and mild. In fact, pretty warm on wednesday, thursday and friday, with inland highs in the mid 80s.
