First of all, Melania Trump understood very well that her speech was going to be viewed by over 35 million americans. To say that she lifted any words from anybody is absurd. You know, listen, i think ill probably get nervous right before. Im confident about my father, im confident about our message. There will be millions, of course, watching at home, just as they were last night. Yeah. A lot of people are now pointing to the speech your dads wife gave last night, melania. Did you write your speech . I did. Tonight. I did. No help . We have, obviously, listen, a speech of this level, were not politicians, were not political, so, we have people that do it, but we have to infuse, they work with us and they look through it and stuff like that, with our brothers and my sister. And obviously some people that do this for a living, but i think, you know, you end up with sort of a block, and then you have to make it your own. I know that you have now seen the comparisons, sidebyside, Melania Trumps speech next to Michelle Obamas speech. A little bit. Ive been a little bit busy today, but ive seen some of it. But youve seen the parts. Yeah. What do you make of the striking similarities . Listen, you know, i dont think there was anything in there thats that novel in terms of those particular lines, i mean, when she talks about immigration, when she talks about her son, when she goes through that process legally, to me, that was the stuff that was much more striking. You werent bothered by the striking similarities . I saw pretty common words in there. Honestly, there was no novel thought in that. Now, of course, when you work with speechwriters, perhaps something but honestly, what i was more concerned about and what i was more proud of her about, was, to be able to get on that stage, having never done this before, and be able to deliver a speech with that much confidence, with that much emotion. For me, 90 of this is about the delivery. I think a lot of people think the delivery was spoton, but she did say in an interview, she wrote the speech. No, what she said is, she wrote as much as she possibly could. And again, for a speech of this magnitude, to say that youre not going to have a speechwriter, id have a hard time doing that, and i speak daily. Its very different. Who did write her speech . I dont know. I dont know who does anyone in the campaign know . I dont know. I didnt go that far. Because there are words like plagiarism out there today. Corey lewandowski, he used to be with the campaign, has said that if Paul Manafort signed off on that speech, he should go. You know, listen. Coreys said a lot of things these days, i guess trying to remain part of the campaign. Pauls done an incredible job with the campaign. Family totally backs him. The level of organization and professionalism hes brought to the campaign in the past few weeks and months has been outstanding. There are reports out there that your father is furious about whats followed the speech. Well, listen, i think is he furious . I havent spoken to him yet today. Ive been dealing with a couple other things. You havent talked to him at all . I havent spoken to him at all. Since the speech. No, i havent. Last night . I saw him last night at, you know, 11 00 as he was going off, i had to do stuff for the pennsylvania im a delegate for new york. So, listen, obviously he doesnt want that to happen. I just think hes very proud of the job she did. Do you believe that Michelle Obama is owed an apology because of the similarities in the two speeches . I dont know. I dont know that Michelle Obama whoever is involved in this, i dont think so. I mean, i dont think this is something of that magnitude. I mean, i think i understand it from a media perspective, trying to create a much bigger story than something it is. But i really dont think so. So, no apology for the first lady . New York Magazine reporting the networks biggest star, megyn kelly, told investigators for 21st century fox, the Parent Company of fox news, that her boss, ailes, made unwanted sexual advances toward her about ten years ago, when she was a young correspondent. The first public allegation came earlier this month from Gretchen Carlson, the former miss america turned fox friends anchor, who filed a Sexual Harassment suit against ailes. Carlson tweeting this new video today. I want to support all women who have been victims of Sexual Harassment. Reporter ailes has vigorously denied carlsons claims, and more than a dozen fox news personalities have publicly come to his defense. But reports say investigators are speaking with a number of current and former employees who have made similar accusations of similar harassment against ailes.
