More than 200 Police Officers looking for those two men who police say escaped from the Clinton Correctional Facility in upstate new york. No stone is being left unturned. Reporter the inmates, david sweat and richard matt, were discovered missing during a 5 30 a. M. Bed check. Authorities say the men were in separate but neighboring cells. Both allegedly using clothing to make it look like they were sleeping in their beds. Officials discovered holes in the back of their cells. Authorities say the two men used power tools to escape through tunnels, eventually making their way to the street through a manhole at the end of the block. It was elaborate, it was sophisticated. Reporter david sweat has been at the maximum security prison since 2003, after he was given a life sentence for killing a Broome County sheriffs deputy in 2002. And richard matt, serving 25 years to life, convicted of kidnapping and beating a man to death in 1997. They are dangerous. Flash floods stranding drivers on this interstate. These violent bursts of lightning light up a path of destruction north of denver, where tornadoes destroyed homes on thursday. And in nebraska, where the ground is already saturated, the rivers are running high, flooding crops.
