I dont know how you cant find a store with philadelphia cream cheese in new york. I dont live in a fancy neighborhood. You moved weeks ago. Okay. Were going to let you know. Before you pull out grandmas old christmas cookies you may want to check out these cookies with a bit more cookie. Abcs tina trinh with a bit more spirited cookies in todays insomniac kitchen. Were at spirited in brooklyn. Im with the extraordinaire. I came all the way out to brooklyn to make cookies with you. They arent just cookies. They have booze. We make a very standard christmas sugar cookie. And then we make different flavors of frosting. And the flavors range from gin to vodka to whiskey. Cool. Lets get started. All right. So here were going to roll out the dough. Which is again just a very basic christmas sugar cookie dough. And then all you do is we get a little bit of flour on our cookie cutter so it doesnt stick and then press. Easy enough. Thats all there is to it. And then you have a perfectly perfect christmas cookie. So after youre done rolling and cutting the cookies, you bake them in your oven for about ten minutes, 350 degrees. When youre ready to ice them, this is the secret of the spirited icing. So you have a cup of your confectioners sugar. Thats just sugar. Just confectioners sugar. Were going to take a little whiskey. Yes, please. Three tablespoons roughly, which is 45 milliliters. Roughly three tablespoons of whiskey but you can also substitute any alcohol that you like. So it could be gin, vodka, rye, just go straight in and start with a fork. It requires no special tools, no special skills. This is it basically . This is it. This is how you make the icing. Its basically booze and confectionery sugar. So you dump all your frosting in there. Okay. You take your cookie. Grab it by the edge. Can you smell that whiskey . Dip your cookie in upside down and then let it drip off. And if you put it on a drip tray, it will drip down the side and come off the edge of your cookie and then it wont be splattered everywhere. Thats way easier. Way easier. Depending on what you want to do with them, you can let them dry and put icing on top. This next part is only limited to your imagination. Youre just making cocktails in a solid form. So simple. So easy. Perfect for the holidays. It really is. So delicious. Kimberly, youre a genius. Thanks for having us. A pleasure. Wed love to try these cookies but abc has a policy we cant drink on the job so the booze is in the frosting so it doesnt bake off. You cant drink . You cant booze it up. Even in an overnight show. Drink . Can you eat your booze . Well try it during a commercial. But for every car stolen, 34 people had their identities stolen. We established that weeks ago. Okay, thats my issue, but yes, holiday baking. Were going to let you know. But before you pull out grandmas old christmas cookies, you may want to check out these cookies with a bit more cookie. Abcs tina trinh with a bit more spirited cookies in todays insomniac kitchen. Were at spirited in brooklyn. Im with the owner, baker extraordinaire. I came all the way out to brooklyn to make cookies with you. They arent just cookies. They have booze. My favorite ingredient.
