And those images, really telling, showing the passengers racing to get off that jet. You can still see the wreckage right over my shoulder here just across the bay at the runway at the airport. Weve also learned that the ntsb sat down with federal investigators and sitting down with the pilots including the pilot in training. They will do so again today. And among the questions theyll be asking them is why in the cockpit, they shut down computers and autopilot, 82 seconds before that crash landing. Abc news has learned that overnight the ntsb had its first meeting with the pilots of flight 214, including that pilot in training, his first time trying to land a boeing 777 in San Francisco. That word comes just as new images emerge, revealing the passengers and their frantic efforts to get out of the jet alive. You can see the chutes deploy and immediately the passengers racing down them. Oh, my god. Thats scary. Theyre running out. Reporter the fire then breaking out in the front of the plane, and this morning we now know that that fire started with passengers still trapped in the back. Oneonone with the first firefighters on the scene, they told me how they climbed up the chute into the smokefilled cabin and toward the back they find mangled seats and the passengers unable to get out. Could you see the fear in their faces . I think it was more shock that i saw. Eyes wide open just and people looking like they needed assistance. Reporter and this morning we are learning more about the other discovery. Those two bodies, two teenage girls from china. One found on each side of the plane. The fire chief telling me a member of her team discovering that it looked as though one of the teenagers had been hit by a rescue truck. Overnight, the teenagers families from china, touching down in San Francisco. Now waiting for word from the coroner here. The girls seen in this image, forming a heart with their arms. And amid the heartbreak, one more story of true courage emerging, the Flight Attendants. One of them here seen carrying a child on her back. Right there in the end, cabin manager, lee yoonhye trying to put the fires out herself. Saying crew members had to use axes to cut through chutes that had inflated inside the cabin. One of her colleagues, choking under the weight of the slide. Helping the injured, she then realized she too had been hurt, breaking her tailbone. In front of the cameras in pain, and back in her uniform [ speaking a Foreign Language ] reporter she said her mind was clear from the moment of the crash thinking to her, i need to put out that fire. That Flight Attendant among so many who did not give up until passengers were off. We also learned of another scare involving the boeing 777 also headed here to San Francisco airport. This one coming from tokyo, but it actually landed back in tokyo four hours after it took off. Pilots were concerned about a warning about the hydraulic fluid, the system going down, certainly not the same situation, but jittery nonetheless given the same kind of skwaet. Your theory on why . 82 seconds, george, we know from yesterday that crew had the computer flying both the airplane and engines. At 82 seconds they turned off the computers and were manually flying the airplane so it was almost as if youre driving down the road, going to an exit. And you take your foot off the accelerator. Youre going to continue to steer and you forgot to put your foot on the accelerator. It wasnt until seven seconds later when the plane was almost at stall speed that they realized we need to power up. Were about to stall. Controlling the engines was still on automatic. Whats amazing here it was happening even though there were four pilots on board. Four pilots onboard. They had a check captain, one of the most senior guys in the whole company, a very experienced pilot. He was there to keep an eye making sure all things were being conducted safely. How is this going to change training . At least with asiana, they have to go back and look at the corporate culture. To make sure theyre adhering to standards. And i think globally i think all air men are going to have to make sure their adherence to procedures and the way things ought to be done is clear. Cant just rely on the machines. Tracy martin telling jurors that these pleas for help. Do you think hes yelling help . Reporter heard in the background of this 911 call, were his son screaming. I was listening to my sons last cry for help. I was listening to his life being taken. Reporter prosecutors never called martin to the stand. But on monday, the attorneys defending George Zimmerman did, suggesting martin had changed his story to help the states case. After initially telling police the voice he heard was not trayvons. I never said, no, that wasnt my sons voice. I kind of shook my head and said, i cant tell. Reporter moments earlier, lead Police Investigator chris s serino, said he gave a different answer. He looked away. And under his breath, as i interpreted, said no. Reporter just who was crying for help has become the focus of much of the trial. The prosecutors believe the pleas for help came from 17yearold martin. But zimmermans lawyers brought a parade of friends on the stand saying the voice belonged to him. It was georgey. The voice, obviously changes. Ive heard a 250pound man, i mean, sound like a little girl. Reporter zimmerman has pleaded not guilty to seconddegree murder, claiming martin attacked him and he shot in selfdefense, after those screams for help for ignored. Adam pollack, the man who trained zimmerman in kick boxing, told jurors he was not a fighter. He didnt know how to effectively punch. He was predominantly fat. Not a lot of muscle. Reporter but legal analysts say thats not justification for zimmerman pulling the trigger. He did testify that George Zimmerman was a cream puff. But the cream puff had a gun. Reporter this morning, we expect the focus to shift from those phone calls to forensics. A noted pathologist is going to be put on the stand. The defense has put 12 witnesses on the stand so far. Theyre flying through it. It is possible they could wrap up their case as early as today. The jury could get this case as early as the end of the week. Robin . Well see what happens. Matt, thank you. How is this playing to the jury . The defense is calls witness after witness to say it was George Zimmerman. Even if this jury isnt sure, thats a win for the defense. Thats reasonable doubt. So, i think thats all the defense is really trying to do here. Calling tracy martin was a risky move. Theres two Police Officers testified that the first time tracy martin heard that type, he did not think it was his son, tr trayvon. We have the Police Officers testimony. They wanted to call tracy martin. In conjunction with getting an effort to undermine tracy martin, you get the very emotional, powerful side of tracy martin, the dad, testifying in effect on behalf of trayvon. And today, we heard him answer for it. And things continue, with a forensic expert. What do you think were going to hear today . I think were going to hear about George Zimmermans injuries and the gunshot wounds. The defense trying to show this is defensive. The defense wants to recreate, create a 3d recreation on how this could have happened. The judge hasnt ruled on how much of that shes going to let in. But thats how i think the defense wants to wrap all this up. They want to say, this is how we believe it could have occurred. Matt said moving along quickly here. All along, you have been you have said, this is a tough case for the prosecution. Yeah. And you still feel that way . Yeah. After the prosecutions case, i believe its hard to imagine, how based on the evidence, that the jurors have seen, they can convict as a legal matter on manslaughter or seconddegree murder. But juries are impossible to predict. They make the decisions. And they sometimes choose to go their own way. Theres others who say they wouldnt be ignoring the law. The jurors have heard every, single moment of testimony. Thats right. Well see what happens this week. All right. Now, to the bizarre story about a woman caught on camera soliciting a hitman to kill her husband. You see her right there. She said killing him, get this, would be easier than divorcing him. Today crash investigators will continue to question the pilots, crew, and airtraffic controllers guiding Asiana Airlines flight 214 before it crashed. They want to know what happened before the plane slammed onto the runway at sfo. The head of the ntsb told thus morning they hope to clear away the crash debris and reopen the fourth runway at sfo within a week if possible. Ntsb investigators are holding a news briefing later today to provide an update. The families of the two girls killed in the asiana crash are in the bay area this morning. Security is tight around their burling game hotel, which has been declared a federal zone. Theyre expected to go to the Coroners Office today to identify their daughters and meet with the ceo of Asiana Airlines. Heres leyla gulen. Not bad at all. Another example of a day you could do, that would be your breakfast. Exactly. The oatmeal full of fiber. Loots of good things to reduce your cholesterol. When youre thinking of oatmeal, is there a kind . I would go for something with lots of fiber in it. Fiber keeps you full. And after this . I had a little thats fit for summer. That is gorgeous. What happens is the lime adds flavor. But its going to extract the iron from the vegetables. You get better absorption of your vitamins. Thats an excellent thing. Olive oil . Lets okay. 143.
