and international. you can see there are people there with signs and i can tell you that this is going to be the memorial taking place here. a rally. goitsing to be here about 10-15 minutes. and come back. they're going to be holding a forum at around 6:00 supposed to include the mayor. and basically these groups calling on leaders to try to make efforts to crack down on the continuing gun violence since it's including very young children, one reason they're at this spot is because this is where a little boy was shot earlier this summer. he was in his toy car, and there was people who were aiming at other people going into a little caesar's pizza, just around the corner. i talked with some organizers. they're trying to reach out to city leaders but also, trying to get the word out to the community to cooperate when crimes do happen. >> and we need confidence within the police department. they can call in, give tips and there are anonymous lines where they can give information. >> that seems to be one of the problems that when something happens they don't get a lot of information so it does take a while to track down people responsible this, is just the beginning, they're going to have this march down the street come back, then have that forum later on at green leaf elementary with the chief of police, mayor and chief of probation. >> and a big labor union says it does not support the occupy movement plans to shut down sports in the bay area or anywhere else on the west coast. occupy movement says it wants to show support for a labor dispute. >> morning occupiers said they intend to shut down the port on monday with other ports up and down the west coast. they say they want to show solidarity for long shoreman's union over a labor dispute they're having. and the union say they don't want help and don't favor a shut down. turns out they're not the only group who told the occupy movement thanks but no thanks. >> only time working people in this country receive a concession is when we do something that cost the bosses money. >> occupy oakland says they intend to shut down the port of oakland in multiple city autos we're shutting down the west coast and porlt of houston because we want to let them know that the millions of dollars repressing occupy wall street movement will not gain a profit for them. >> they claim they have broad support though many truck drivers stand to lose money during a shut down. >> do you believe those truckers are in support of the blockade snax. >> i know some of em. >> nobody wants noin block our income stream. >> bill says he's against shutting down the port and so is every other trucker he knows. they're realing from the last shut down november 2. >> that took us two weeks to recover from that. and people got hurt are the truckers. now there are big, long lines. it doesn't hurt the big guys because they charge us penalties for not returning containers to the port. >> those big lines are forming again and truckers prepare for a shut down. the city is getting ready too,. >> going to be working with the port. the port asked us to keep the port open. we're going try to do our best z i've asked to people why would we do this?
