A family tradition since 1926 probably serving our customers for 90 years in the Bay Area our. Products can be found through up the Bay Area at your local meat departments everywhere get. Well the. Things we've talked about the last. Month a month and a half kind of read their heads once again tonight then it's it's a recurrent theme and there's a need to find a way to kind of change that trend somehow someway but the things that come to mind is one inability due to score struggle shooting the basketball only 36 percent for the game 3 of 14 downtown 6 of 16 at the free throw line a lot of those misses came with quite frankly that the game was in the balance you know was 58 points you missed 2 at the free throw line you can't get a little closer so it's the timing of some of those that are as crucial as anything else and the other thing is the the other team shoots that well and 8 of 15 beyond the arc for Oregon they're an average 3 point shooting team and today standards at best they're averaging 3035 percent for the entire season and they're like at 30 percent. And yet tonight they shoot a 15 or even normally a really good free throw shooting team 4th in the country they only go 10 of 17 that help the Bears but and here's one where you scratch your head. The bears out rebound Oregon 31 to 27 The Bears had. A total of 3632 bears had 19 off of rehab that's an incredibly high number that's incredibly high now when you shoot 33 percent for the game I guess you're going to have a chance to get it but there's only get 7 2nd chance points something a lot of those around the rim the guys can't convert get the ball stripped down low and so pat them on the back for getting a teen office of response the bears are the number one offensive rebounding team in the league but not being able to convert those. Really Hurts Well it really does in all honestly outside of the 1st 10 minutes Cal Cal took care of the basketball some of these turnovers of course now so there's 9 turnovers less 30 minutes of some of those turnovers came after getting off it's a rebound were they were stripped or fumbles in so they actually you run good off it's you you know you get shots you have opportunities for offensive rebounds in the Bears did that but to your point time I mean all these years I've been around house ball like it often enough it's rebounds. You know I'm going to school I'm going to beat you yeah you know because I'm going to get put back lay ups and that's just didn't really convert for the bears no Didn't good effort on the off chance of glass by Cole Well he had 5 so let's give you some of the individual numbers leading the way for the Bears Don Kallman coming off a 2 game suspension by the way with 16 Dan was 5 of 11 from the field 2 of 3 d. On the arc. And 4 of 8 at the free throw line 5 rebounds and 34 minutes just to suing in double figures once again every conference game this year had 12 points fall trouble early in the ballgame had set out 12 minutes in the 1st half to finish for 12 points 410 from the field a couple of 3 pointers for Justice suing nobody else and double digits next you got various McNeil 6 points. 3 of 16 from the field all of a thing we've got to we've got to address this I'm sure Coach Jones is going to address this you've got a guy like Gary he's a talented young man and he started the season hot he was up around 50 percent shooting the 3 ball well what do you attribute. Having been around basketball as long as you have seen things like this happen what do you attribute to a dairy ases shooting struggles because he's really in a slump right now boy he sure is a go the other member how long ago it was he had a game was 2 for 15 or 2 for 16 and. There's just a lot there's just not a comfort or confidence in his in his when he goes to shoot he's just got to be 2nd guessing himself. You know maybe you know always plays a lot of minutes is a lot of responsibilities maybe there's stuff going on they had 391 minutes tonight but I just know from from all the years of play and is it 5 min rhythm and I feel like I'm going to make it before I catch it and you know so sometimes you know is there is missing a catch and shoots or is he missing on things where he's dribbling those are 2 different things too. But you get pressed up against the shot clock is is also it also is going to you know you're not going to be balanced in that it's. So he's definitely watch tell you what when the season's over some of these freshmen take good big sigh and deep breath about what they've learned with that gone through. They'll be advance for next year and a question about that oh good night again I mean at least let me go here yeah as you head down the stretch you got to find a confident smart sleeve fought out of the ball game. He had 5 points 5 files 5 rebounds in 23 minutes also for the Bears Kingsley Okoro 5 points 5 files 8 rebounds Kings he got 2 more blocked shots tonight inching a little closer to 2nd on Cal's all time list of blocked shots as he now has 100 an 85 in his career and needs 27 to tie Michael Stewart for 2nd on Cal's all time list David Kravitz the all time leader for the Bears 4 points for you want Harris Dyson. Again he'll be better but right now really struggling at the office event trying to figure out where to go with a basketball and and just doesn't have the confidence in his outside shot as well Roma Davis off the bench with 2 a call well he came into 10 minutes 3 points 3 files 5 rebounds and one for 3 from the field one of 4 at the free throw line and that is a total of 53 for the Bears as again they struggle to get to 60 points it's kind of the benchmark for the various It's the 6 of the last 7 games with have to fail to get to 60 points leaving way for Oregon the pretty balanced scoring but again they only put up with $66.00 points they came into the ballgame averaging $81.00 points a game for the season so in that regard the Bears did hold him out of their seasonal average double double for because 13 points 11 rebounds a perfect night of night at the free throw line 15 points realized Brown the transfer from New Mexico he added 3 rebounds and was 3. 4 from beyond the arc and 16 points 5 rebounds for the outstanding freshman Troy Brown in a total of 34 minutes Oregon shoots 55 percent from the field 8 of 15 from beyond the arc 16 of 25 the free throw line for a total of 66 points all right when we come back we'll hear from head coach Wiking Jones also I'll give you a scoreboard update the couple of other 2 games and conference play tonight and preview Saturday's game against Oregon State as we continue want to post-game show presented by ever good fine foods final from hosp of it in as Oregon defeats the Bears 66 to 53 just the gold pairs basketball network from layer field. California Golden Bears basketball on a 10. 13 point to game to Oregon $66.00 to $53.00 Coach Jones still talking with the team down in the locker room so uses the opportunity to preview the next team up for the Bears against Oregon State on Saturday 430 Toyota tipoff show 5 o'clock tap the Bears against the beavers in their only meeting of the regular season with the imbalanced conference schedule it before I get to that what do you what are you hearing about a possible 20 game conference schedule that they would. Only missed 2 teams instead of having a home and homes not having a home and homes with 140 much about that I'll be honest I have not heard I've not heard anything along that lines my my history in the league is been that there are a number of teams that have their their set. Home homes that they want their marquee games they're there. You know things that they want to play that are not on call for it's Ok And you've got some balking But you know a thing can happen if the president's good enough God say because you know you'd end up with less you know you're around the country Yeah exactly non-conference Yeah so and they'd be better for the fans as well because you'd have 2 more quality games in league play as opposed to non conference joining us now said Coach Wiking Jones that interview brought you by Pepsi unleashed a refreshing citrus kick with Mountain Dew charge your game with Mountain Dew proud part of the California Golden Bears basketball Well coach kids fought hard and you know did some really good thanks and I'd certainly rebounding was good with with 1000 office of rebounds cut down on the turnovers certainly in the 2nd half but the shooting 33 percent from the field for the game is just tough to win a game shooting at that percentage for 17 from beyond the arc just your thoughts of trying to get some off it's going to gets you know Oregon that's zone has given a lot of people problems over the course of years I mean zoom was was good. Is virtually impossible to win a game when you go for for 17 from 3. Removals all for 8 and he's a good shooter. You know we are. We had a spell where we started to make a run we just got the ball inside and you know that's that's how we wanted to attack and the problem was we never could get a flow get the ball inside because our bigs are always in foul So Marcus picks up 2 in the 2nd and the 1st to have kings he picks up 2 and in the 1st half I still try to play those guys in the 1st half just as picks up his 3rd in the 1st half on a questionable call on the down. So it was hard to to get a flow because you know now I have to I have to run off it's through don have to run off and threw down his. 3 Make 2 guys that I don't necessarily want to run the off chance through because they're an undersized team and so the foul trouble really really hurt our flow. You know Colwell he has to play 10 minutes Roman Davis has to play 10 minutes. So. You know and then we go 19 get 1000 off of rebounds and score 7 points so tough. It's tough I just with respect to say maybe there's some others with this but are you satisfied are you satisfied with the quality of the shots you know it because it isn't eventually just things are going to go when it gets. You know if he has a better suited than it's not just Paris but some others that you're quite satisfied with the quality of the shot that over time I just wonder about the young man he's got a lot on his plate and just house is houses is is mental toughness come in house you know how does he balance and bounce back you know. The quality of the shot like I said to me was was was predicated by the fact that we couldn't get inside touch because it's a lot. He was sure a lot higher percentage of it's an inside outlook or as opposed to primitive. You know and we're not we don't have any inequality digs in the game to throw the ball into them so that that I think makes it tough for for all our guards for for Don for for for. John for. This and so not having that inside presence those guys on the bench it's tough stuff what do you tell the areas you know because you could see him he's frustrated because he's a competitor and he wants to play well we see him play well what do you tell him to keep shooting Yeah good for you tell him to keep shooting because he's on he's our best shooter and him and. Justice at this point Don shot the ball well he goes 2 for 3 tonight 5 For learn from the field which is good to see considering that the situation had been suspended last week. But tell me keep shooting he's a good shooter. Then shown it you got to the good shooter taking quality shots just you've got to keep You've got it you've got to have got it you can't be afraid to guns loaded got afraid ready to fire so you know obviously there's the kids are getting rewarded for the effort and the results are there but expound how you want to where do you see where are you seeing the growth where you're seeing the positives that table to be relayed and reflect to guys the next day we're just in any way coach just Where's the positive because you got to be say the positives the positives that they're still competing at the still the still playing extremely hard. You know you don't see guys hunched you know you see him playing together trying to execute together defensively trying to get a stop together. So that part is good and. You know today was the 1st time in a while that he didn't get off to a good start and I think that that really hurt us today you know along with the foul trouble you know coming out of the gates that you look up and it's 09 so now or now we're playing catch up and we haven't had to do that in a while we didn't have to do that consistently we didn't have to do that because u.c.l.a. Were in the state so. That part was tough today you know coming out the gate slow. You did force Oregon and you don't turn the ball over all that much that they're right around a conference play about 1112 force them into 17 turnovers and you've got some and some breaks in the 1st half getting out on the breaks and but. You know in the 2nd half you know they attacked a little bit more and they were they were much more patient it looked like in the 2nd I have to we got we got turnovers in the 2nd half to we didn't capitalize on them you know. Them and one of particular Marcus we got a steal and Marcus throws it right back to them Yes we got a steal and. You won tries to dribble through a double to a do a double team and so. We have to be more disciplined and be able to capitalize when we do get in and we do to force teams in the turning the ball over. You know I do 10 practice so I still see spirited things going on in practice and it can you know a competitive nature in that do you. With the young team are you still pushing hard in practice or use are you trying to show you that we're still we're still pushing hard in practice I mean you know we're trying to get better so we're still pushing hard in practice the guys they know what this is you know they they realize you know we don't have the experience you know 3 freshmen in the lineup. So they understand that the things are going to get better you know I think that they see the light at the end of the tunnel that you know we're playing a good veteran teams and you know we're going to be that veteran team one day you know so so they're still ahead not they're not down on a one on you know they don't like losing I don't like losing but I think they see the big picture just like I see the big picture that you know. We're taking our weapons right now and you know as these guys become soft more has become juniors become seniors we're going to be the ones had enough to look at since you know that's that's that's what's keeping everybody going right now real quickly I know you like to go game by game but he's cross over film sessions you do get to see Oregon State you know what is your early impression on em. Well there are enough. You know. If there's shooting the ball. To shoot the ball well. You know. You know. He's very good. You know every game is tough every game is tough but you know we have an advantage and you know we should we should win the game. We have a good crowd on here the cheers of victory against Oregon State your time coach in Woodstock you proud of the game on Saturday Thank you Coach White King Jones as the drop want to Oregon tonight 66 to 53 will step aside come back for some final thoughts preview Oregon State a little more detail as we continue from hospital this is the basketball network from layer field checking your phone while you drive. Losing the Oregon 66 to 53 Time now for the stat of the game presented by State Farm when teammates help each other out great place happen the Cal stat of the game presented by State Farm get an agent that gets you in the stat of the game is 1919 off of rebounds bears have more office of rebounds and they had defensive rebounds finished with 36 out rebounded to Oregon so 19 is our State Farm stat of the game all right let's take a look at the game coming up Saturday 5 o'clock tip will be on the air with the Toyota tipoff show the Bears against the beavers of Oregon State the beavers entered tonight's game at Stanford with a record overall of $11.93 and $5.00 in conference play unless they make a remarkable comeback they're going to be $3.00 and $6.00 in conference play because Stan. Running roughshod over the may lead Oregon state with just under 11 minutes to place they played a little over 9 minutes and 22 to 5 Oregon State losing to Stanford so if that holds you can have a wounded Oregon State club coming in here that has. They've got 4 in my opinion they've got 4 really good players Jay they've got Drew you banks the Senate thought about going to the n.b.a. Decided not quite ready for that traced one of the best all around players in this league and the Thompson of brothers so their problem or one of their problems is lack of depth and decorum and often left the team before the season started young man out of Seattle was going to be their point guard a veteran guy been through the wars so all in all you know they've got to be a little disappointed with where they're at right now in this season Well I would think so I mean again it's just watch it every day when you don't have depth and you know they have no that's not core for their me they can score the ball and they're experienced guys they've been they've been through some stuff you know the young one is a freshman young Thompson but I was the player of the year in the state of California that the other 3 of you know the other 3 kids I mean they played into a tournament game yes so they've been through some stuff and I would agree with you on that piece that it's kind of been too much up and down for them but you know it again they've got their bench they've got their point guard issues in terms of that level of stability and I think this coach John just said if they're if they can shoot basketball I mean that's that's you know that's that helps their mojo the things they question there but it's going to be a game for the Bears that again the formula it's a narrow window for where the bears can be successful and it's got to you know it's got to come with Marcus Lee doing some scoring and you know. When the Ok go he's on the floor all the time can't go 3 for 16 so the kids have to have to play up to their abilities in the defense is getting better though I will say it's getting. Harder for people to score against Cal They have to play that way again on Saturday again another good building block looking forward Oregon State. Beat u.c.l.a. In Corvallis So I mean they're. Capable of beating a top division team they beat Oregon I think to start conference play in Corvallis . But they lost at home to Utah Utah swept that weekend as a matter of fact and then they just lost Oregon last week they lost to u.s.c. But are coming with a record of either 4 and 5 with a remarkable comeback at Stanford or are they going to be $3.00 and $6.00 on Saturday so the bears hope Dand that losing streak on Saturday ended at 9 and the start 2nd half a conference place tonight with a tough loss to Oregon 66 to 53. Back in the studio courtside engineer from my partner j. John thank you very much for joining us once again the final score Oregon 66 the Bears 53 the sit in the golden basketball network from layer field. Basketball has been brought to you by. Copying print scan facts people respond to people make decisions. And Problem solved and by the electric. Electric has had a winning performance. Construction needs. Preceding has been a leader field presentation California. Your home for California. San Francisco San Jose ca. Well the president is busy speaking in West Virginia right now to the Republican retreat. Now that they've arrived after that train accident yesterday really was terrible. And. Well the memo the memo writes It's going to end the world as we know it or it's going to solve the mystery isn't completely invalidate any investigation against presidential depends on which end of the spectrum you're talking about here so let's get to the root of the matter what's really going on Washington Post congressional reporter car and deer Jim is joining me on the phone right now current thanks so much for joining me on the joining me on the show today good to be with you all right so let's can we start with the basics that what is the memo that is causing such a ruckus What is this memo. Right memo is a 4 page document that was drafted by Republicans Jefferson the House Intelligence Committee it is based on a whole bunch of underlying intelligence that they got to view from the f.b.i. And d.o.j. That's related to the dots you know the dots is probably a term you've heard before is this now famous. Document that was mostly informed by is the work of the British expiry name Christopher Steele It has all kinds of allegations inside about trumps a legend relationship with Russians financial personal etc. And it was partially funded by the Democratic National Committee and the Hillary Clinton campaign the Jesse has been a really a this sort of the side of Republicans for a long time they believe that it is suspect because of that Democratic money that went into funding it they also believe that it was the basis for the government to conduct surveillance on various officials that were related to the Trump campaign during the Obama administration and that's kind of what comes into the memo the memo is according to people familiar with it alleging that basically the author of this memo you know the author of the dossier sent the f.b.i. Bad information that they then used to open a surveillance probe on Carter Page who is one of Trump's former campaign advisers especially on matters related to Russia so that's the reason for the memo we're likely to see once it comes out of course that the controversy is that Democrats say this is a very one sided memo it has mistakes in it and they also think that it's just basically a hit job trying to raise questions about Bob Mahler's probe of allegations between the ties between Trump in Russia and the federal law enforcement agencies whose work is behind that probe Ok so the Democrats have a point in this car and that the vote was completely partisan it was all the Republicans all Democrats voted against it for that memo the Democrats had their own memo which the Republicans blocked releasing saying I really well yeah Ok tell me really where the public well. Bob Buck's releasing to the public I mean it's now available to all House members to look at and they're saying all of our memo was available to all House members for 11 days so once you're out there for a week or so we can make it public too but of course it all depends at the end of the day on President Trump giving the Greenland the go ahead for actually getting this stuff in public but you're right we're talking about you know the imminent release to the public of the Republican memo and the delayed release if at all of the Democrats' memo so that there was a it was blocked from coming out at the same at the same time Ryan and that would provide some kind of balance and Ultimately though what came out yesterday from the f.b.i. Is causing a lot of interesting conversation the f.b.i. Had that there's no mission of material facts in the Republican memo Tell me about doubt or I and he's not very often that you see the f.b.i. Put out these unsigned statements where they're saying no we're not cool with this at all but they're saying they have grave concerns with the way that the memos presented I mean look at that the what's being released is just Republican drafted take on what these intelligence documents say it's not the documents themselves and so it's interesting that the f.b.i. Is complaint is kind of lining up with Democrats complaint which is that you're cherry picking here and you're not presenting it in a holistic light and that is confined to mentally unfair to do that and also I mean that the also that it compromises potentially the way the f.b.i. Goes about intelligence gathering what you're going to see is this g.o.p. Memo probably come up 1st even if the Democratic memo comes out later that's also going to be a rebuttal of the story and it seems like there is enough resistance right now in Congress to putting out the underlying information that the f.b.i. Is right to complain that they're never going to get off the public will never probably get a full picture they're just going to get enough to be upset and yet the f.b.i. Doesn't want to tell the full tilt picture because if they say that's classified info and they keep that classified for a reason and that was your to do shots of you know complain of back and forth you know but what's interesting about that is there is one. Person who with the stroke of a pen can always declassify anything he wants next the prime United States and you know so if there is this what are you just today on Fox was if they're going to release this Republican memo if the president's going to approve it the only way that this makes any sense at all is he would have to declassify what he can without actually jeopardizing national security the underlying facts so we can say you know we the American people can say this is not just a partisan you know hack job by the Republicans where is the truth in all of this or what are the actual facts and are lying it so we can determine our own idea of what the truth is but nobody is talking about that are there you know some people are talking about they've actually got again a very conservative House Republicans the freedom caucus saying we should really say much as possible but I don't see a situation what you're going to have a complete and total unredacted release of it all of the information that went into this right you probably can as long as something is redacted and probably significant look there's even discussions right now that production there happening at the memos release the truth with redactions right so that means even after the memo like that there is not necessarily going to be the entire document every single last word gets released that public that's a case of the memo if you can but that's going to be the case far more still live than relying documents that have more sensitive information in them about the way they go about intelligence getting to name sources potentially I mean you are going to have a real push backs probably bipartisan push back against getting that stuff out to the public and the president can act alone like you said but he also has to you know it easy to say that operate in a vacuum and we've seen just from the way that this memo stuff has happened that you know 1st the Republicans on the Hill bring it up salmon did it in discussions and then he gets id excited about the idea that he actually acted completely alone or did as a video the sole driver of this car the whole way through and it does appear that you know even if he has pushed the administrate. To pretty much be releasing the memo it's not just at the start of the path it's taken a few days it's just people are protesting he seems to have at least listened to some of those protests if whether or not they informed it when the stakes are raised if the stakes are raised the level of actual raw intelligence I was feeling that that's going to be a lot more persuasive and we probably will never get that full picture I know I'm it's it's very interesting one last question for you a car and do you have an idea of when the president might release the memo do you think going to happen like today are we going to go the full 5 days on this will he speaking right now it could happen at any point today it could happen tomorrow or 5 days would expire I guess it's Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday would actually be Saturday for the 5 days to expire or or there is tomorrow afternoon at 4 30 pm the house comes in to what's called a pro forma session to me which is basically gavel and gavel out but it means the congressional record will be open for a few minutes and if they want to just read the memo into the record that's a procedurally very very formal but very sound way of being able to do that and so we may see something happen you know the classic 5 pm afternoon. $430.00 if we don't see something before so if there is no if the memo does not pop out of pop out between now and then I would be eyeing that pro forma session for a point at which we could just see it very smoothly eased out there as part of the House procedure Great Great information great reporting really appreciate a car and emerge in from the Washington Post car and thanks for filling us in on the memo no prob Thank you I really appreciate your time today all right and coming up in just a moment oh my goodness childhood development experts are mad at Facebook Titania Jordan chief parenting officer Mark is going to join me to explain. Often talked on this show about the issues of. Our children many times is problematic Oh my goodness so what about Facebook they have a new app that supposed to help but mean maybe it's not going to help so much joining me on the phone to help explain all of this of what's going on and why we should be concerned about this new Facebook app is to Tanya Jordan She is chief parenting officer of bark and Internet safety solution to keep kids and teens safe online Titania thanks for coming on the show today thank you so much for having me all right so 1st off let's what is this new app I mean what what is Facebook doing that supposed to be so good for our kids. Facebook messages that actually. Super top notch in terms of its safety controls to children under the age of 13 days a lot of time and of course money because they can consult with a lot of child development experts and parents on what here to need if their children under the age of 13 are going to be communicating with each other and they wanted a way for kids cannot be bothered by Internet predators they wanted for children to not be able to contact anybody but to have the parents approve the connection 1st and they did that to be friends with the child's parent on Facebook adult Facebook before your children can connect on Facebook messenger for kids not only that but you cannot upload inappropriate content to guests an emoji zone that again is super super g. Rated child friendly so it's a little things right if it's going to have a way switches communicate give it only the Facebook messages for kids out there right Ok problem right now but we all know that tech use for kids is severely problematic and there are many experts you're basically saying kids when you start timeout under 13 pretty much be using most of this technology right. I know and that's why it's so difficult right now because we are the 1st generation of parents that are having to make this judgment calls about when am I going to let my child have screen time for how long and once they are using it what in the years and how can they communicate and how my going to monitor it says you know there's a complete uproar 1st of all the facts as a step which has a grasp on the entire world 13 plus at least is now you know poised to capture even most a market share of the very day that's what the nation and let's talk about the husband and welfare of other children skyrocket skyrocketing rates of suicide and depression and it is attributed to increased time on social media so as as parents and as educators and people in technology. What are we best shows to do even if it you know affects of our bottom lines do we encourage shoulder spend more time on the screen or doing courage than to spend more time in the life developing empathy and the key communication skills Well we've we've had Dr Victoria Dunkley on the show show more than once and every single bit of actual research data shows not tack I mean literally that yes if you're under 13 and you're and wondering where she lives and let him use technology or not the answer is not I mean it's almost that simple now that you're better off so when I was a kid to the argument was dark kids watching too much t.v. And now they're saying well gee he view is far less dangerous and addictive then then our tablets and smartphones. My manual does say when I will let you have a smartphone and you know what back it is he wanted and he doesn't understand it but to tell you he's going to say hey I say Hold that thought for just this and let me explain so my son is 10 and guess what he has a phone now why do we have a phone he said there's no social media loaded on it no games are loaded on it why did we give him of a smartphone the has a g.p.s. Chip in it yet another school shooting today joke we have another school shooting in Los Angeles this morning every other day this year so far we have a school shooting and that's also what's different from when we were kids we didn't have school shootings every other day and now it's like Dear God I want my kid to have a phone with no games no social media but has a g.p.s. Chip chip so I can drag and they know how to call 911 with it because every other day we have a school shooting I mean this is I mean this whole new world of parenting right now is. Disconcerting to Tanya I mean you know what I'm saying or saying no I don't want to give him a smartphone and I want to get my smartphone. Only telling me this is where we are I I j. I t h i watch. It and I fell for his dad but he can't call 911 assignment and I was thinking. But yes I mean. The search is not for you just outlined that you really have to do it because unfortunately there will be another school shooting it's just a matter of when and it's so sad that that's where we are yeah I mean it's just you know as a fellow parent with kids I have a 10 year old son a 6 year old daughter it's like Dear Lord the fact that we're even having these conversations about a school shooting in what are we going to do about how do we secure the campus even better and then you worry about online predators at least at least 10 years ago it was just online predators that we were worried about or 20 years ago you know I mean on a.o.l. You were an online predator So tell me a little bit I'm not familiar. Bark what what what is bark. Well I'm so glad you asked and I'm just as a parent honored to be working in technology that helps keep children safe online and that so far does so far they connect with your children social media accounts and more see just Facebook and Twitter because the honest kids are obsessed at Instagram and things we haven't even heard of yet so we connect with over 25 social media accounts plus texting plus e-mail and what we're doing is looking for those really scary things signs of starter going sexting that's a suicide and depression drug use violent tendencies. And online grooming and online predators we were actually helped to catch. A potential bomb threat towards a school just Hospital and we've helped to save over 25 lives and we know that because what happens is our words will ping the parents via text or e-mail and then burst here to the stack to say thank you so much I did not know that this was an issue with my child and now I feel thanks to bark so we monitor detect and alert yet so this is an app that I load on my son smartphone for exam when I'm assuming there's security around it so he can disable it or something that's not what you're describing is an app that I put on a smartphone. That's so you either go to website. You got barked at us or as a parent download the dark Apsley their eyeless you into a way to get the 2 of these accounts if you don't have their passwords you can send them a text or e-mail to connect their accounts on the phone and then by the monitors it's in the background and one distinction between being just a full blown you know spyware product versus a you know a parenting solution is that we don't give parents full understanding of access to everything the child is dealing with believes that children also have rights and terms of digital privacy and related response of this digital natives tears don't have time to read every single tax it's a lot of today's a nonsense so we use a I artificial intelligence to scan through again this is not just not just the well it's the fees on gifts and the only alert parents to the issues that matter and then the rest of the kids can you know be free the kids are well good I want to thank you for your time today coming on time out to Facebook Messenger kids and also your product at Barc dot us Tanya Jordan chief parenting officer of our Thanks so much for going on the show today thank you so much all right I really do appreciate it and coming up in just a moment you know the Super Bowl coming up this weekend you thought about how much money this costs I mean we did we just had it inherited your house how much do cities make when they host the Super Bowl versus what it costs.
