The play features a lead character who is deaf. Leaders at tcr chose a person who can hear to play the part when they say no deaf actors auditioned. After speaking with members of the Deaf Community the theatre said they could have done more and now theyre trying to reschedule the play. Developing right now we still dont know about the future of an iowa city home designed to look like kinnick stadium. Last night city leaders postponed a decision on the home until next week. The plans for the 75hundred square foot home have brick siding and a replica of the stadiums press box. In july neighbors filed an appeal complaining about the homes size saying it is a tailgating venue. Discussion about the home will continue next wednesday. Iowans against the Bakken Pipeline are now calling on president obama to stop construction. There have been clashes between security teams and protesters in other states. Opponents say the Dakota Access pipeline is threatening protected land and waters in iowa. Last week the white house ordered a temporary halt to construction to review the pipelines impact on tribal lands. An iowa group delivered 30thousand signatures yesterday to the department of justice calling for an end to the multibillion dollar project. The deparment of justice must investigate the injustices of this pipeline, they must review all of the permits that cover this pipeline and that means the army corps of engineers nationwide permit as well as the 408 permit they gave on the missouri river. River. A Dakota Access spokesman said in an internal memo that the pipeline is designed to meet all safety and environmental regulations. Earlier this year governor branstad said he would order state troopers to protect workers after Construction Equipment was vandalized in central iowa. New this Morning Police in ohio shot and killed while responding to an armed robbery. The call involved several suspects and police were chasing them into an alley when they say the boy pulled a gun from his waistband. They found out later that it was only a bb gun. The suspect tyree king died overnight at a hospital. Also in ohio the site where 12yearold tamir rice was shot and killed now has a new look. Crews took down the gazebo where the boy was shot by police. Rice was holding a pellet gun when officers arrived. The gazebo has served as a memorial but the city still plans to memorilize tamir at that location several people have suggested a stone memorial. A kindergartner in new jersey was found with nearly 30 packets of heroin in his lunch box. Now police want to know exactly how he got them. Them. The Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center has learned how the immune system and cancer interact.
