As the day wears on, you will start to see a receding trend in palo. Downstream here in cedar rapids, our level has reached but surely and tomorrow morning, 23 feet is the anticipated crest here. That will be the sechighest crest ever on the cedar river in cedar rapids. Here are some of the other crests to show you. Number one was in 2008. We remember that monster flood there. In the 165 year history of the actual cedar in cedar rapids, the river has never been above 20 foot except in 2008 and now in 2016. There. You can see theyre up there. Were not concerned about any rain around here in the coming days. He was extremely range that the city built the flood wall where it did d. He said his building and some of these buildings described it. He had to build up flood barriers and said hes protected until 4 protected up to 4 feet. So we asked the city why the flood wall was built where it was and why these businesses were excluded. The city told us that the reason for that is that this is the last piece of ground where that the last piece of ground that is high enough and solid enough to put the flood barriers on. As it goes topography is more uneven. They say putting up 4 to 8 feet of protection does not work. What else is important is how solid this ground. Its the last piece of hard, flat, dry concrete that these barriers work on. The owner says he doesnt agree with that, but the city stay like we saw before, the water is still way down the bloke. We can even take a look at how far the water is away still. It hasnt come this far yet. If it does reach down here, this is the extend this is the extent of the protection they have.
