Rapids after this semi was blown from one side of the highway to another. Crews eventually got one lane of traffic flowing again northbound until they could remove the trailer from the road. A short time later, there was this crash along highway 151 near anamosa. Again, strong winds knocked over the trailer, taking the semi with it. That blocked the highway until crews could clear the scene. And finally, this semi was knocke northbound lanes of highway 13 just north of mount vernon road. The driver was taken to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries. In all, eight semis were reportedly knocked over by the winds in the cedar rapids metro area alone. More than a dozen were reported statewide. The wind also a problem in iowa city. City. Construction crews at university of iowa hospitals and clinics were battling against the gusts. As first made public by metro sports report, the assistant football coach at Linn Mar High School is the one being accused. According to parents with children who play football, Matt Casebolt has consistently yelled and physically harmed teens. Some incidents date back to 2011. 2011. Linn Mar High School principal Jeff Gustason says the district did its due diligence, but couldnt find claims. When you find a wide discrepancy, its a little easier to say at this particular time its not founded for us to do anything, that doesnt mean theres still not things that have to be addressed in the program. With a high profile homicide case in chicago that could have ties to eastern iowa. Right now, us marshals are searching for this man who, they say, is connected to the killing of a nine year old boy. His name his Kevin Edwards and authorities have reason to believe that he might be in eastern iowa. Iowa. Edwards and two other gang members are accused of gunning down 9yearold tyshawn lee to avenge a shooting by a rival gang. Police say the boy was lured into an alley and shot five times.
