It's clear that you know your whole theory and together well you ask interesting question because all science textbooks have to be rewritten because they got it wrong we used to think that everything is made out of matter and matter itself is of course made out of Adam's and inside the atom we have electrons and protons and things like that so that's what every textbook says however it we know realized in the last 10 years or so that every textbook has to be rewritten it turns out that atoms represent only a small fraction of everything there is in the universe in fact 4 percent of the universe is made out of ordinary matter that is atoms then we have 23 percent of the universe made out of dark matter I think that's what you refer to and then 73 percent by far the largest made out of dark energy which is even more strange Now if you could figure out what dark matter and dark energy are then you will win the Nobel Prize in Physics and you'll be heralded as the next Einstein because ordinary matter which of course has generated lots of Nobel prizes all the consists of 4 percent of the universe so dark matter is very strange if I had dark matter in my head it be invisible that's all because dark dark energy is also invisible but dark matter has a weight if you put it on your head and you'd feel it but then it would go right through your fingers and go right to the center of the earth go all the way to China reverse direction in China come right back the center of the earth and meet you again right there in your living room and dark matter with an oscillating back and forth from your living room to China and back strange but we think dark matter exists in fact we have the Hubble space telescope that's giving us diagrams and pictures of dark matter as it spreads throughout the Gallic. Mark you ask him interesting questions 1st of all we have Newton's laws of gravity and they work precisely well within the solar system in fact we can shoot a space probe right through the rings of Saturn that's how accurate the laws of gravity are and those laws are so precise that we can calculate the mass of the moon and the density of the moon but we also know the size of the moon by telescopes and so we can calculate whether the moon is hollow or not and the answer is No The moon is not hollow because we can calculate the mass the density and the size and those 3 numbers allow you to show that the moon has no pockets of emptiness inside also Newton's Laws of Motion say that if there was such a pocket then gravity would crush it and it would simply cave in 2nd of all then the question is what is the moon made of well we know what the wood is made of because we have pieces of moon rock given back from our astronauts and lo and behold we found that moon rock is very similar to Earth rock you see meteors and asteroids are quite different the carbon content is quite different nickel iron content quite different from the earth and the moon the earth of the moon are almost twins almost twins when it comes to chemical composition so we believe that the moon was blown out of the earth about 4100000000 years ago and then the question is why does only one side of the moon face us you've never seen the other side of the moon think of the moon right now think of all Devil Moon and you realize that well it's the same movement it's always the same moon you can see a man in the moon. We have them of course but surely you ask an interesting question that actually goes back thousands of years and this question involves perpetual motion machines you see even back in antiquity thousands of years ago Kings needed energy energy to create the goods in the fields and factories and energy to arm soldiers and defeat enemies and so many people would come to the king stating that they have created a perpetual motion machine now if you go to Wikipedia you can see pictures of them and they're very ingenious these perpetual motion machines are basically rather simple they're based on a loop think of a loop and put different weights along the loop and then have it spin Ok these people would say that the amount of spin on one side of the loop is enough to keep the thing moving for ever and you can extract energy from this years later when people discover magnets then people would do the same thing with magnets they would get a loop made out of wire put magnets around it to try to spin it and hope that the magnetic field on one side would be sufficient to pull the loop and you would get a perpetual motion machine Well thousands of inventions like these have been reposed none of them work as a consequence after thousands of years of frustration physicists finally said Ha you can't do it and that of course is the 1st law of thermodynamics you can't get something for nothing the total amount of energy is conserved now Magnus is of course more sophisticated because the force that the magnetic pushes with is perpendicular to the direction of the fuel lines and that is the fundamental reason why people get confused and think they can create perpetual motion machines when actually you can not because the force of a magnet is at right angles to the direction of the magnetic field and that's the reason why you cannot extract usable energy so sorry about that. Picked for a certain time well Norm and us go fast any question that goes right to the heart of general relativity Einstein's crowning achievement of 1915 1st of all Isaac Newton the guy who started modern physics I think didn't said that gravity travels instantaneously fast so if the sun were to disappear right now right now the somebody disappear you would feel the effect of that immediately and so the Earth would be flung into outer space like a ball in a string if you let go of the ball light of course would take 8 minutes but we would feel the effect even before the light arrives Well along comes Einstein who says not so fast not so fast nothing can go faster than light he said and therefore it would take 8 minutes for the shock wave of gravity to finally reach the earth and fling the earth into outer space but how do you prove that well Einstein's theory of general activity says that gravity is really a fabric and so think of putting a bowling ball in the middle of a trampoline that the bowling ball sinks into the Champlin net and the earth is like a marble marble going around well if that's true and then you suddenly remove the bowling ball then there's a shock wave ripples emerge from the center of the Champlin that and it takes a fraction of a 2nd for the marble to be flung into outer space because bass is a fabric it takes time for waves to propagate along the fabric and so that's a new picture introduced by Einstein So who's right Einstein is right. Ok you ask a very interesting question that has lots of practical applications we've all seen airplanes fly upside down However if the dynamics of the wing are such that the lift is created by the teardrop shape of the wing then how can airplanes fly upside down and there is as follows It turns out that a very high velocities you cannot use just Bernoulli's principle but know this principle is the reason why airplanes can fly at normal speeds but you have non-linear eddy currents effects very complicated effects come in and so then it becomes the angle of attack that allows you to fly so let's break it down if you take a wing and slice it you see that is teardrop shape and that when wind goes over the top of the airfoil it decreases in pressure it increases in speed but decreases in pressure therefore the top of the wing we have a low pressure area or a partial vacuum and some people say 90 of a partial vacuum on top of the wing then air on the bottom of the wing pushes up and that's why airplanes fly Ok that's why birds fly However when you get to a very very fast philosophies other secondary effects become dominant is also the angle of attack Think of the angle at which this winning hits the air you would see that air hits the bottom of the wing and that pushes the wing up so you see there are 2 effects here you have Bernoulli's principle we said you have a low pressure area over the wing therefore the wing wants to go up and the angle of attack so that air hits the bottom of the wing as it hits the wing that pushes the wing up and so when a plane flies upside down is the latter a fact that becomes nominate because otherwise as you correctly pointed out all planes would crash to the ground if it was just Bernoulli's principle that kept airplanes afloat and so you have to use different equations and different sources of lift when you go to higher and higher velocities because air.
