The World Series I am driving to the show and I drive about 5 45 in the morning l.a. Traffic and there's a bunch of different radio stations on listen the x m Sirius number around and around listen to some baseball talk and I catch a guy like I turn on a station mid-sentence and he's a baseball analytics guy he never told his name when about 4 minutes before they went to a commercial I still don't know who it was and he kept saying don't trust you Darvish No no no no no no no great pitcher great pitcher he will melt and he started giving examples of you Darvish and how in his history in these big spots sometimes he has not delivered in this of course Game 7 of the World Series and we know that you Darvocet the Dodgers had 2 World Series starts could not get out of the 2nd inning and I was listing that driving in I sort of forgot about it and as I was leaving Fox Sports one yesterday I was done with both my shows I ran into a certain baseball guy in the building and he said I. Don't trust you Darvish and I'm like oh I heard that this morning I should have said that in the n.b.a. They call the word dog and are awaiting his talented than have a lot of dog in him Kobe Bryant's talented he's got a lot of talent and all get him metal toughness it chip on the shoulder the Dodgers are analytically driven. But he's Verlander he's a horse he's going to walk into this locker room and guys are going to think oh my God there's Justin Verlander a rod talked about how even these series were and what the difference was if you think about what happened on the mid-summer classic The governor Lander these guys got Darvish game 3 Game 7 combined 3 and a 3rd innings to me that was entire difference in the series I'm not anti in numbers I'm not I get they're important but if you look at the trading deadline Darvish look better than Verlander. And it's just not the case I don't care where you went to school I don't care about your education level are you an it person do you walk into a room and change the temperature of it can guys ride you in big spots you Darvish is a huge talent but he was petrified bolt times he took the mound in the World Series and afterward of the 2 young talented teams mix Swisher was having a ball with the one that made the right pitching acquisition. He believes that he's doing something he really likes to do that he loves to do and he doesn't sweat it and so therefore even when people are on the outside are saying oh my gosh what are you going to do about this what are you going to do about that what do you belive check it's just it's another day for him he's seen it all he's done it all and so the fact is he doesn't get stressed out about this stuff and I believe he's healthy as a horse he's whatever he is 65 years old and you can see now what's happening to a lot of coaches in football and a lot of people look at Tom Brady you know it looks like he could play another 5 years who knows all I'm saying is that I think age is just a number and as long as he enjoys doing what he's doing I think he's going to keep doing it personally I'd be surprised if he coached another year or 2 and then went and lived on a boat for the next 25 years I guess I think he likes doing this too much yeah.
