Final return to regular programming at the conclusion of the Chargers' broadcast. 648 is a comedy show they have those numbers we got the lottery. Numbers the number. Seems to ignore is with us from on is trailers and the welcome we've got some business to do here by lotto numbers you win by the way and more importantly have to guess I don't you tell us all right all right people who play only birth dates are going to be very happy with these numbers there's a 12 in there well not necessarily that there's a 12 but they're all under 300 yeah be kidding me those are all the numbers we'll start with the number 6 this isn't criminal if this is in numerical order not in order that they were drawn I'd say so the 5 numbers you need are 67716 right 2326 and the Power Ball is 4. 677162326 the Powerball is full my God I play 3 of those numbers I got their 6 kids their family there is I got married on the 23rd and my wife's birthday is only 26 and boy I hope I have a we'll see when I get home all right those are the numbers and worth 700000000 dollars at least that was my tickets or at home I was so underwhelming I was like oh except are you going to win the lotto Well I said yes I'm going to go get all the air and I know we have some tickets here a fellow you know has a minit full of them here and we've got pictures in our e-mail of the office pool tickets were look I'm sorry but. It's too confusing and do you know. That's a sign so nice to see all your friends is so great man what do you what I an idea that you've had here that is just taken off like gangbusters here you take television shows and movies and make the honest trailer you know what the movie really is about not what some p.r. Firm is going to try to shove down your throat and usually the movie. Socks they do show you the best 30 seconds of the movie in the trailer Well I don't always suck but yes they're there and their job is to make you buy tickets and I'm not being honest right is that there decide we want you know a big team behind a help helps us we go obviously doing all these but yeah we tried to make them Honest right and you've got a ton of subscribers as well we do 6000000 subscribers on You Tube So our easy 5000000 people about I think is the average no one is watching these week to week which is insane to me that that's still there thank you all food you watch that is as if and what an honor we discovered you through Mondo my dear lady Mondo is the young guy on the show and he's always on You Tube in and I don't know Google and he's on so I'm on the Yahoo to yeah you're on Yahoo Yeah I But anyway but it really is great how did it all start and was it your idea yeah it was so way back there at Phantom Menace was coming out in 3 d. The Star Wars Episode one and so they were really is releasing in 3 d. And as a nerd I knew why you try to trick me we've seen this when we were disappointed with the 1st time now you're trying to like hype it as 3 d. Will solve the problem that's not going to solve the problem so we're working with some concepts and as I would if we did a trailer with the have a guide a voice and just told you the way it was and then fell a kooker Brant was there at the time we sort of put this video together and it just was a hit and then we started doing one after another after took awhile to do them now we're doing them weekly but Titanic Twilight transformers all these big movies and fans were really connecting to him and they started really watching every week we were getting a 1000000 views are like I think we're on to something it really is right the hit t.v. Show this year is this is us and this is us is a. Show I believe it's on is on Fox n.b.c. N.b.c. And but you know doing our new one. Is that it I don't want to put that one is very wearing in that one does know there's a strain but you know I think you're Because you did something new this week we tried something new because we're up for an Emmy which is very exciting like I said Yes I saw the and then you put together a. Trying to win the Emmy correctly right because we did a video with Michael Bolton who I'm a huge huge Jeremiah musically I love him and I was going to get him to do it we asked why. He was game we had a funk he did honest Willie Wonka for us and we did like the pure imagination song that turned into a world of safety violations. Simon Michael Well the listener screams out one of the is a really wild good song that is going to be fantastic I love the frozen one yes you did did very well for us the Forever was having frozen fever at the time and we were like right on that and they had the totally expose atory saw and unbelievable you know I mean it just it really it is what it is yeah it is now who are you a writer of you've been working on your what do you what your background No I mean really online video has been my my go to and yeah I mean I wrote we have a team now of writers Spencer Joe Dan all back in the office has helped tremendously now in the beginning yes it really brought 9 some of the writers helping at the time to get those initial ones out the door through the success we were lucky enough to bring on more people to help and now I oversee and help right with the team but yeah I've done some successes online I want to m.t.v. Movie Awards for a short I did that was a lot of fun and I'm starting to get an ocular accolades you're my digital work and then got hired by companies and worked with some celebrities and made some content I got to do a shoot with Kevin Nealon and Garry Shandling which was such I was very many cool directing them so all pretty much online work which then got me into a company that I then started making series for right and before you know You Tube and you know before the Internet existed the Amish trailers would really have no way to get out there I mean nobody could you have to like you know sort of pass a videotape around colleges like I used to do yeah and there's no money in that it's like South Park that match and trade started that way you know it's sharing and you know yeah now it does without revealing the exact number does You Tube still pay a lot for clicks in for views. And I heard the number was $2500.00 for every 1000000 is that range is it ranges and star so many other things about it but yeah I mean it's not the views aren't moneymaker you think we have a whole channel of a 1000000 other show you know tons of other shows that aren't you branded integrations and sponsorship opportunities and things like that help obviously get the money in but yeah I mean You Tube does pay their channels on their users as well and here is the Willy Wonka song one of my matter I got it you know I got to direct Michael Bolton singing the song a bucket list item I never knew I needed to check and I got Ike is great I love. Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory one my favorite movies of all time are here we go from room. Creepy Dr Seuss comes a classic play the fairy tale. And 2 halves of shrooms Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory. Experience a movie that's pure children's wish fulfillment but still wasn't afraid to scar you for life that balanced out his joy with lessons on how adults were mostly good no you're right it was a scene where they chop the chickens head off oh yes go into the tunnel it freaked me out of. That vehicle that shot all like the shaving cream stuff out all that was that was discarded almost going to die and then you know it's just there was a scene where the old man and the younger man you know yeah they're going towards a blade that. Lets they belch and that balanced out it's drawing with lessons on how adults were mostly hideous kids were mostly evil. In the guise of the Freak Out of any moment in the secret test of your integrity you lose. Candy's good trust as bad. As Candy's good trust is bad got it. To poverty because it is. Really. You know the grandparents 2 sets of grandparents are sleeping with him in the bed. Of the factory Oh I can all of a sudden run. Around. Pretty atrophy worth on. A sweet boy refused to poverty because of this con artist. A swimmer who takes money for smokes while the rest of the family eats cabbage water advocates challenged what he was cooking up talks Charlie. Watching as 2 big nails and. I do that was a good thing. Has 2 big nails and goes from there to dancing as soon as free chocolate comes along. We're already Grandpa Joe we're on a delay Gene Wilder shines as Willy Wonka Howard's use of diabetes. Howard's use of diabetes he isn't just a reclusive nutcase He's also a master of sarcasm. Seek help Leaks crazy and very likely a serial killer to nasty little children go through good sweet little children. Watch as he turns a factory tour into a deadly game but only the generous survive while the impure are disfigured in accordance with their seasons and a cold the tiny orange monsters dispose of the body armor that it really is great I mean you don't even think now when you watch this movie you'll think about all of these things. There's no scene in the book or goes to school knew what he was doing then he knew. To enjoy a few haunted like you for a lifetime unlike the Tim Burton version which will probably just haunt you so with spirits and classics that full of unforgettable music and to help us remember here's Michael Bowles it right here that's great this is great I we're going to take a quick break and we'll come back we have Andy signori is whether as the creator of honest trailers we have it up on our website you can go check it out a k f r m 640 dot com or you can go to youtube and type in honest trailers and take a look at a poncho and they really are creative and concessional you stay with us yes Ok it's judge on the radio and I would love to make radio stations the website professional rules Toyota's national clearance rate is going on now and that means huge fracturing cashback savings are already $27.00 teams like 2000 cashback on a new 2017 Please look back to what will last for 25 of your background do run for hybrid cars on the new campus Camry hybrid or Sienna those even 4000 gas back on Us to turn right that's. For sure want us to get rid of all the stuff. This is k. If I am 64024 hour news more stimulating talk the only Chargers game is happening now you can hear all the Chargers action again if I am 640 dot com and on the official Chargers app for your smartphone right now Ok if I is streaming a special edition of the Tim Conway junior show that's a digital. Final return to regular programming at the conclusion of the Chargers' broadcast or we. Can Fight your way to 640 on my show. We are here with the Andy signori he does the honest trailers and we played one earlier about this frozen one and that really is dead on and you don't realize how great it is in till you hear it and then you'll And you think it's upright you're exactly right it is about. All men are a holes. And it's you know because a torch song is so great is there's so many you know great pieces in there what is the one on his trailer that really put you over the top they really had the most hits I mean probably Deadpool helped us a bunch we got Ryan Reynolds himself that pole to come interrupt and do as an honest trailer so that was like an insane dream come true to have him we did the trailer and they were sort of start you know what do we do and then he interrupts us that is that right that was like amazing to score him and to find out the writer was a fan and that he was so collaborative with us and just emailing me directly you know to write that with us and basically reading what we wrote and let you know we're right that character is very meaningful He has a very important character for oh yeah and so to be able to write words for him that he approved to do is just I was just an immense power here is the Willy Wonka and who's singing this yes so we can in the middle we just introduced Michael Bolton to show Michael bowling an honest medley to the walk a song that is great your ego which you did I read it right I mean multi Grammy Award winner Michael Bolton a lower voice crying whoa what are you doing here. You invited me here well I'm sure you didn't think you'd actually show up well I did because I have a new album to promote It's called Songs of cinema and whatever you guys do and don't forget to be honest about your promotion right that's glass and you act as if you could be on that trailers or see obviously I don't know enough. Think you then let's do this feature e. The creepy and so. The money just to give. This guy. By the way we are live on Facebook facebook dot com slash Conway show so if you want to. Check it out you can you can do that you can also go to our website k. If I am sick 40 dot com You can see some of the videos there on his trailer like to take the chips you're falling in my trap once you know what's going on you have to watch 10 more it's true I mean it really is it is you know it's absolutely true once you watch one you've got to watch another one it really is true here's some more from Willie one of the dear God please help us. In the live in this Jack and. Go straight. To. Relieve or go it really that's true and yeah really well the claim is that they're all Bumpus Rianna are all sort of just like these weird black slaves he grabbed put in the center in the candy factory but that is really unbelievable I'm sure what he what is the future here obviously you know you continue doing this but what is it what is your you know your background you said that you came out from Philadelphia yes how born and raised in Philadelphia big Eagles fan Yeah you know that's pretty cool now we got to have teams out here I'm sure the Eagles will be sliding here at some point hopes I hope so but this is such a great idea and there's never a shortage of material you know with although they release multiple movies every week right exactly very unlucky it is unbelievable have you done anything on the current actions Oh no I don't don't make me. Please now we've managed to avoid those and where you guys locate where you guys do all where you're not like we were going to lay our voice John Bailey who does the I mean everything all all of it's funny because of him he's out actually he's come back so far but Nashville in. Tennessee and the. Here in l.a. As well but other than him well you know we all work here in l.a. I see Ok And we're all and again we are like this is a new Democrat your audiences may not be as familiar with us so I love this but if there's any Emmy voters listening yes we are up for short form I can't remember what's called the short form variety program Ok And we're trying very hard to try and get some attention there because it's hard I think the economy is still figuring out digital like a lot of people are right but we're honored to be in this mix because it's a web series up for an Emmy you're saying what's next I mean that's a huge honor for us to be in that category in a bill to do it so it were immensely grateful and humbled to be there now you guys were nominated last year as well we were you know we lost to Steve Buscemi of course I mean if I'm going to lose the guy I want to live to lose to him at least who's up against you know this today Early Show. But it's I'll admit it's a little frustrating because it's best web series right and they're literally nominated for the clips of the show itself. Seems a little unfair I hope people don't do is just you know they don't recognize you know perhaps you know any of the ones they go oh I like the you know the you know that show which is that Comedy Central just put on the daily like I love The Daily Show but come on we put together a weekly Concho every week just like they do but. Is there a day that they drop Tuesdays on our You Tube channel youtube dot com slash screen junkie's is where you can find us Ok we're on Twitter Facebook screen junkie's is our channel and our site we have a lot of the shows we do be honest trailers a sort of the bread and butter of the funny and people you know you know there's always the thumbs up and tongues down but there are very few people a thumbs down everyone loves this yeah except for Ghostbusters when we did the reboot of Ghostbusters we all female go especially at right we turn the comments off. We just said wow you did this Internet thing. So we did our whole take I was proud of that I mean we made the call like screw up we're just turning the comments off that we think I'm sick of hearing this that I'm saying All right let's play that one it's really swearing in. I don't remember we believe our swearing Oh God Ok. I think we haven't got Yeah we hold trays of that anti Ghostbusters the time that was the one time we got some down votes because people were mad they couldn't they could yell at us right through the all of a sudden for some reason because Ghostbusters and now all women you can't. Yeah when you're old is on fire right then I say look this world is so crazy I'm sure you heard this because you're probably a news junkie everyone out of Philadelphia is but yesterday they or this weekend there's going to be a football game in Virginia and they changed one of the play by play guys and they brought him and I think they're sending him to Chicago or New York to do one of the other games it's an Asian kid but his name is Robert Lee and because of all the statues and all the trouble that they're having in Virginia they actually took him out of the sport out of the booth there and sent him to another state just because his name is Robert Lee He's an Asian kid that's has nothing to do with you know the Confederacy or the Civil War but that's how crazy people are you know nowadays and he's with us you know there's always 2 sides yeah that's. Right and the signal as well as check out the videos go it just type an honest trailers in youtube or go to our website you can judge about there too if I am 640 dot com We have real quick before going to Bender there are 3 Powerball tickets in California that matched 5 out of 6 numbers. Light hearted paler parody of but that is because films and up for an Emmy Award one of the Emmys in September I believe that's the last week of voting this week. We were part of the creative Emmys they separate us into the sort of the lesser important cat and I said but you know is that a Saturday Emmy Award yet so I think it's a temper 9th I see Ok you 2 nights and I think they do air the those portions on like a cable channel some are but it's really time we got to go last year and I got to see all the sharks in Shark Tank I was very cool that is pretty cool that I'm a big going on that show are you going this year are you didn't want to give the to give you 2 tickets to go yeah we choose we're not likely we're all we're all going and you know we had to bring our significant others and doll up and have fun we had some I got to break dance with Neil de Grasse Tyson and. Bill Nye they were it was crazy fun fun night that is that is pretty cool you got to check out the videos I go to youtube and type in you know what I guess I'm just trailers on the screen junkie's on its trailers you'll find us and what he working on for next Tuesday that give you the exclusive right here we go I'm going to take your face off. Oh Ok . Love I just can't hold your face off it's a very when you really watch that movie it's very weird and out of certain and you realize it's the weirdest part well I know we noticed as they switch their faces right and then somehow he has sex with his wife but that wasn't changed so. I don't think that is Greg there's a lot of lot of I think still hold out of the really right have you got the blowback from actors or directors or writers now surprisingly it's we've been pretty lucky I mean I've heard very minor complaints or graphs from people that oh that's not funny but right really 9 to 10 times I'd say the least the things we hear to they come to my face or through friends is that they were like oh man that was I should probably should admit it but that was genius that is pretty cool and I love how much how many creative people are working on stuff like I just online and how much money is involved Well it really is cool I mean you know the stuff that I see I can I'm I'm addicted to You Tube I go I don't watch t.v. Anymore I'm just I watch You Tube all all night long you know a couple of beers watch You Tube and I and there are so many people out there that are terrific Lee talented and they're great writers or directors or or a cinema toggle 1st and their material would have never been seen before by anybody and now it's seen by millions of people today I think we watch collectively a 1000000000 hours of is that the number I think it's a 1000000 a day a 1000000000 hours a day and you match up big the servers are at You Tube where they've got to hold a 1000000000 hours of material for one day one day. Unreal what is that so the one that is the most popular one was what was Bristol Let's tell it tell us the story of how it originally you got started where you know the one that you that comes out in 3 d. The Star Wars it comes out in 3 d. And then you blast away you say it's the same crap but now it's in 3. That is got it I mean that has got to be you know really special for you guys because a lot of people would have never figured that out for themselves but the studio is fine like it was cool and you know we're trying to make some dough here you know but that it but that is really cool way to do it you know it's a cool thing to have you know where you can go back and look at something go oh wait I didn't realize I was being fooled I didn't realize I was you know I was a trick and then I was a tosser Yeah and also and all of the product placement that goes on as well but they try to just blow off as oh what a coincidence yes we do we do that in turn Transformers it's starring Cheverly a. Pizza battle baby is very very into his product placement I love Here's the Ghostbusters one this is great Ghostbusters all women cast Oh you're playing this one and when it's all women you cannot comment negatively on the movie or else you'll be thrown out of this country are we sure we want to do this one fine we'll do it but we're turning off the comments you did this yourself Internet trigger warning the following video contains scenes from the 2016th film Ghostbusters. For the studio that just got hacked by North Korea last creative control of Spider-Man might lose James Bond and couldn't even keep Adam Sandler happy comes to put them back on track. Oh no. Experience a film that created a perfect storm of hatred uniting people who legitimately hated the traitors people who legitimately hate me that's a classic films and people who legitimately like to kill people nonsense on the Internet and I was making calls 1st when only when what's going on when you're making those posters video and calling out Trump. Getting done. Get ready to tell that everyone in their blog rush to judge me for they've even seen it and prove to all the haters that it's bad and I like you guys to me is as bad as they said it was going to be but still it's pretty bad. I like puffy and like those well and Wolfie it has nothing to do with them being female Ghostbusters the movie just wasn't as funny as it could have been Paul Feig directed one of the funniest movies I've ever seen in my life right it's amazing ride Space is fantastic unbelievable I could think of 20 scenes in Bridesmaids still. I mean literally when I watch it i l o l I mean literally laugh at that and Melissa McCarthy pulls off a fart like that fart it's up to one area I'm like yelling it's as everyone in ensemble place the comic relief at the same time I feel. They don't have to let you watch the goods meisters their lives that's specific identities Egon and Ray but not here as everyone in the ensemble plays the comic relief at the same time featuring the word comic relief yes and stand by like friends. Of daddy's girl that the random comic relief economics 7 but he insists that part of. The down to earth comic relief. Is a pinball not an uprising with a car and the physical comic relief. But you can't all be the vain man someone's going to be the ego together unite against the bill and so forgettable digit halfway through for Chris Hemsworth and the 3rd act of pixels. Like her so you're right it is I'm going to go watch every one of these. You could drop that I don't know if you want Has anyone has anyone actually wanted to do the trail I mean it's funny Deadpool we talk to the director and stuff they were going to make their own honest trailer at the end of the movie all they were saying that fans and so they were they revealed that later as because we've gotten friendly with the team behind that movie and what great idea they were let's just do it and then even the director Tim Miller who we've got to talk to such a wonderful guy he directs the 1st one he was all like let's when he had the scripts like I just said it's the Australian guys now so they could just tell us all the problems and figure it out and they. Do and so to hear to get here that was just amazing but I know it's like the hitman's bodyguard sort of just they hired our John he was a real voice you know actor does real promos and stuff he did a t.v. Spot for the new movie with Ryan Reynolds that's a lot of fun but you know studios so what if you no idea should they have to hire this yeah we're going to fire it up rules scripts right then and then you guys do the on his trailer I would sit there for 3 credits is the way you know it's all right exactly well tell you how to feel yeah I go watch these go watch everyone how many are there out there total we just. If I am 64024 hour news more stimulating talk the l.a. Chargers game is happening now you can hear all the Chargers action again if I am 640 dot com and on the official Chargers app for your smartphone right now Ok if I is streaming a special edition of the Tim Conway junior show that's a digital. Final return to regular programming at the conclusion of the Chargers' broadcast. So say the. Safety you know the Yo d d o d g. D o d g e t t t m t a mole All right this is pretty cool David been a Who works away with the Los Angeles Dodgers interviewed while Scully said and I believe this is the 1st interview I've heard from a Dodgers personnel interviewing Vin Scully played a little of that we can take we will play the rest but here it is Ben Ali with David Best say thanks to our very good friends over there at. 570 am k.l.a. See home of the Chargers the Clippers and of course the Los Angeles died yeah it's been great to see you and I think I speak for all of us it warms our heart whenever we hear your voice or you're very kind Dave thank you so very much it's a vet is amazing even Scully knows David Best say by name no knows him. Oh you're very kind Dave thank you so very much it's a pleasure to be here and spend some time with you it's so great to spend time with you especially in the midst of this is stork season for the Dodgers everybody is wondering if you've kept tabs on their record pace and what you think about the team oh I think it's a marvelous collection a superb athletes under the direction of a favorite player of mine Dave Roberts So yeah I believe in this same very much I was privileged to be with some other good dodge of all clubs but I have a feeling this one might turn out to be the best of all all right being Scully interviewed by David Bass say of the Los Angeles Dodgers which was the best Dodger team of all time and the Dodgers right now are 50 games over 500 for the 1st time since the 1953 Brooklyn Dodgers can you compare that team or what you thought about that team as far as talent and how good they were well I really can't compare but I can talk about the differences between the 2 1st of all you start with the ballpark of the 1953 Dodgers played in a rather small ballpark Evatt field it was certainly a hitter's park and they took advantage of it what's amazing about this team they hitters are taking advantage in what is a pitcher's park Dodger Stadium so that get your attention right away another thing about the 53 team people point out about the members who are in the hall of fame and all they talk about are. Campanella and Jackie Robinson and Pee Wee Reese and Duke Snider and there were other good players on that team like a call for Owen and Jim Gilliam if I compare them we don't have any hole of Famers yet on this team but it could very well be 1520 years from now some will indeed make it the 1953 team talking about hall of famers have we used to call them the score of beanies or that they hardly able is other shockers the hose with a guys who didn't play too much and one of them I used to sit in the back of the bus in my very early days and have a terrific laugh with Dick what him and Dick Williams never cut as much as a player but he's in the Hall of Fame as a manager so for this team to catch hell Dick Williams was in the manager of the plot raise. He was I think it took the Padres no the Reds on the right you're right as a manager so for this team to catch up to that one Dave Roberts is going to have to really come up with John gems and he probably will but the o. The thing is the game is different now this is a year and a team in a league game where it relies heavily on the bullpen in those days back in 53 they didn't have Jol Black who was a very good relief I misspoke there is a Dick Williams who is in the reds front office now oh the one we're thinking of is from the Expos. A manager of the Expos he's in the Hall of Fame I think so as a manager from the Expos actually never been to the World 00 but his primary team is the Expos primary position manager. Might be another Dick Williams. Let's keep looking at our Williams at the A's you know who I think you're on to something or go yeah to go for the A's after their 2nd place finish a 970 lead them to the ale pennant and then 2 straight World Series championship there you go. With the Expos. Going to. Be better. Davis a clam a buying sink a ball pitcher but they didn't have anything like a Kenley Jansen and a bullpen such as this team's Dodger team so I though it's always customary to say Oh way back when that was the best I would I would think that right now anyway I kind of like this team better and that team in 53 Wow That is huge coming from Ben Scully all those Hall of Famers on that team and he likes this team better that is saying something about the squad man I kind of like this team better than that team in 53 then I'm curious your thoughts on this since you saw so many great Dodger teams the players that played on those World Series championship teams in the seventy's for somebody 778 in 81 to a man say that 77 was the best of the teams comparing those 3 teams in the 1955 Brooklyn Dodger team do you agree with that the 77 team was better than the 81 team and the 53 team was more talented than the 1955 team it's impossible I mean my brain is just about able to resort to left and right and right and wrong fair and foul and compare rollovers teams. That's that's beyond me there's no way I could do that I know talking to timing Lasorda he felt the team that produced 4 hitters who hit 30 home runs a year Tommy thought that was the best team that he saw over the years and he pitched a bit for the Brooklyn Dodgers as well so Tommy with his experience I certainly wouldn't argue about that I guess the best way to decide is what did the team do there you go we're going to take a pause here the numbers are coming out for the Powerball worth 435000000 I believe yeah 6443 there were that 60 and then 915 out had 2 of those numbers. And the Powerball your red ball is for 64 or 836915 Powerball your red ball is 4 all right there you go 69154364 your Powerball is 4 where $433000000.00 We'll spend the next hour and a half or show Urso of the show yes refreshing the Powerball page to see if there are any winners anywhere 915-436-0644 extension 433 mil is your jackpot your red ball I think your 9th largest Who is that right 9th largest Now if it rolls over tonight it will be worth a half a 1000000000 dollars they could maybe probably might even jump to like $550.00. More than a half $1000000000.00 Wow Back to Vin Scully with our own David Bass a k.l. AC home of your sports teams the $55.00 came we'll never rank as one of the great got to cover it right the 55 team will never rank as one of the great teams but it was a world championship team 77 might be great but as they say in New York had they come out 78 the same so there's no way for me to compare them all none whatsoever then it's been so great to spend this much time with you appreciate it and I think like I said I speak for everybody just hearing your voice makes everything feel right in the world for these 5 minutes away you are very kind and Dave you do a wonderful job I know the ball club appreciate it but at the other end of the microphone the thing really love the job that you're doing so keep it up. How. The Hell Is that not going to be framed and put on David Betts say is wall where you touch a button as you walk into his home or his office or not and you write that doorbell that vignette Scully complimenting David Van say saying the Dodgers and the fans really appreciate him that's his doorbell not to cry. Behalf of David that say what a great it all gets here David Bass. So if you are very kind and Dave you do a wonderful job I know the ball club appreciate it but at the other end of the microphone the thing and really love the job that you're doing so keep it up may never be tired of listening to that and Dave you do a wonderful job I know the ball club appreciate it but at the other end of the microphone the thing and really love the job that you're doing so keep it up thank you van so much and I will see you around your wife said I can meet you at a hardware store one of these days from somewhere thank goodness all the time at least for a little while longer that is sensational great job David Baz and then say hey kid we have audio actually of David messing right after the interview Oh good. At least for a little while this is what c.m.c. Would write Larry Wilcox is friend Gary Hoffman and Zack servers were stolen if they came to me I would say I'm shocked that you would say Shannon fair and has worked alongside Hoffman for about 2 and a half years says she is shocked but has known him much longer than that I would never think Gary Hofmann would be so silly as to take pictures of himself and we repeatedly tell people don't take nude pictures of yourself if you're not comfortable with the whole world seeing them silly. It would be your word that silly. I was going to say stupid but then I backed off Gary and Shannon we mornings at 5 am 642 we think. We have a keep young scientist with us and this is a real scientists this is not a. Science Guy was a build I was not a science this so it's called The Science Guy He's pretty sensitive real scientists gave me all scientists NASA is a Ph d. This guy ph d. After Brown University and evidence of water on the moon Professor Ralph Milken is with milk and is with us 1st from Professor are you sir I'm good how are you doing I mean you're doing so well it yeah we can hear you perfectly great yet all the stuff I clarified Actually yes it is true I did used to work at the Jet Propulsion Lab and Celtic several years ago and now I'm currently on the faculty as a associate professor at Brown Wow All right well you're a real scientist that that's true that's what they say you know I mean what's the difference between you and Bill Nye the Science Guy who has to call himself the science guy he doesn't have a degree and no he's actually a scientist I think that. Does doesn't there's a lot of great advocacy you know for science and and a great leader for the Planetary Society and a great lover of space exploration I'm a dump because let's get another. Bill not right let's get into the moon here so what is your evidence how did you discover that there's water on the moon yet so well let me back up a few years here about 10 years ago actually one of my colleagues here at Brown Alberto Saul went back and he actually was looking at some of the samples returned by the Apollo missions and specifically he was looking at these glass beads that. Come from explosive volcanic eruptions on the move so you can kind of think alike fire fountain eruptions that you might see in Hawaii where you have a lot of gas charged these magmas and they're just very explosive and they kind of spear magma up in the air and all over the surface so he was looking at these glass beads returned by the Apollo missions and he found that they actually had water trapped inside of them and this kind of turned things up on end compared to what people had previously thought for decades which was that it was dry is it possible that that that that water though was from the collision or a from the of the creation of the moon in the earth yet so this is one of the fascinating and probably the big question that still remains is that in our work we showed that that water is not anomalous in their policy samples that we actually see it in a number of these volcanic deposits on the moon using satellite data and so what that tells us is that there must be a fair amount of water down deep inside the moon and it's and it's mantle beneath the crust so then the question is as you said well how did it get there so we basically the general consensus is that the moon formed by a giant impact with Earth something that was say the size of Mars hitting the earth and that's a really high energy really high temperature process it's hard to imagine that water could have survived that it probably would have been vaporized but but maybe it did and maybe we need to go back to the drawing board and think about those models of such a giant impact the other alternative and one that I kind of like is maybe what happened and there are other lines of evidence to support this is that the water was brought into the moon and potentially the earth to shortly after the moon formed but before I had cooled down and solidified How would do you could have had my moon of water delivery system Yeah exactly just the awkward Phina delivery system it's so what we envision is there are a lot of wet objects out there in the solar system and their comments comments have a alarm. Component of water water ice and there are a number of asteroids different types of bastards that have a lot of water too and those materials could be bombarding the Earth and Moon at this point in time and delivering water to the Earth moon system and so I think it's actually cool because it's not only does it tell us something about how the moon may have gotten this water but it also has implications for how Earth got its water that's interesting that is a very diffuse state something you don't really understand now Professor this night may not be your expertise and you can tell me if it's not we can move on but this eclipse It's coming up on August 21st is it going to be some people say it's going to be so dark that the street lights will go on is that true. So it's not my area of expertise but my understanding is that yes if you are in the path of totality that will completely block out the sun and it will get quite dark you know so it can have the effect of being like night wind that streetlights may come out so if you're if you're fortunate enough to be in that at the totality it should be a pretty impressive sight we're going to be watching are you going to go to one of these totality areas. Well that's a great question it's funny actually my wife was asking me at dinnertime the kids why aren't aren't we going to see the total solar eclipse yet and your science as it comes around every once every 200 years something like that there's a great clips party over a Bill Nye the Science Guy. Oh yes oh no. He's going to have it on August 23rd don't now because it's a weekend well a little late easier the 1st schedule right yes so I think you know I won't be able to go in the path of totality but I do have some colleagues here friends who do plan on it and you know some people have been planning this for years because it's such an event and it's going to be amazing that it will be the most photographed eclipse probably in the history of the world yeah I think you know given. You know technology these days and the interest and the path that it follows is just amazing because it's really cutting right through the u.s. And North America so a lot of people are going to be able to see this right I think you should go I remember like one last question about the and then we going to take off here so if there is water on the moon then it's inhabitable. So the thing about this water is well a big question for thinking about human exploration on the moon is we always want to find a resources on the moon that we can extract and use they are sort of having to launch it off of her because that's really expensive to launch off of Earth especially water so although there's not a lot of water in these glass beads these volcanic glass beads there's a lot of the glass feet there's a lot of this material and so I think it does open up some avenues of exploration to think about how could we extract this water and the biggest question then is it is it economically feasible to do so but it's you know there's more water on the moon today because of our growing understanding then what we know about 10 years ago and I think that's a positive for thinking about getting humans back on the moon and pushing farther up into space and doing more exploration you know we should have the moon as a as a no crime plant you know just maybe name we'll name it a planet but in the moment you commit any crime whether it's stealing something murder rape whatever it is you go back to Earth and and no crime on the planet she'd never have to worry about look at locking your doors your car or anything nothing and I want to you Matt Damon was in a movie like that like last year 2 years ago sure similar to that yes exactly love that guy All right Professor thanks for coming out of this man appreciate it thank you very much. There he goes Professor Ralph Millikan who thinks there's water now on the moon we can go and enjoy ourselves but the Hal But you know the the Moon environmentalist you know the Save the moon heal the moon they're all getting ready right now now you know I mean listen why can't we let's find another place to trash Yeah I mean that you're about done with this one right here all the Moon dot com will be gone by tonight let's show let's get up there and you're littering look at Great.
