From Colorado sparks he speaks in radio 1230 and 12 30 pm and. a lot of pique decision they did and we can also tell who Tomic Chase is going to take in next year so how can we have make new my new Mark Trafford 2018 which he loves doing which I'm going to get you he hates it I love it we'll get to that at the bottom of the hour coming up here on Mike and Mike I did want to finish the thought that we had because I only had a minute at the end of the previous hour and with credit to Stephen a because he's the one who said it on here and he's right that the answer to the questions about baseball's policing itself or the answer to questions about whether there should be some sort of policy in place where we can have these been balls we're going to have more strong deterrent to whatever it is the answer whatever you think it should be should not be well this and this is the way the game polices itself this is the way they've always done it so I just leave them alone that's not that's not ever an appropriate answer in any other sport isn't hockey hockey still has a fellow with the fighting with you maybe not as me. Much is the with the enforcer as back in the day but you know I believe still there yeah that for those who don't know you know hockey fighting has forever has been people say why do they allow fighting in hockey it's because they allow guys to duke it out and as a result I don't do serious harm to each other with their sticks as weapons and stuff like this is the way they get out they were aggression in baseball you cannot take a 98 mile an hour fastball and throw it at someone's head I just expect that to be deemed Ok any more I get that it was if you read Job Tori's interview with Peter Schmuck he said when he came up that was just part of the sport Yeah I was you would get thrown out all the time because guys wanted to see if you were tough enough to stand in but that's not the way it was not the world we live in anymore and again I would go back to there isn't a single player in football including the receivers I think who like the way the game has been changed as far as defensive rules and stuff like that and the people who run it said we don't care if you like it or not yeah we have reasons for making these rules they make sense and we're the ones who get to decide that you're not you know we've had many players talk about the fact I'd rather get hit high then get hit low they understand what concussions are but they also understand when you blow out your knee what that can do to your career even though I know what the concussions are we're talking about a long term a lot of players as I said and I out there next Sunday or the Sunday after that you know with a blown out New York done for a long time right or wrong I'm just telling you the thought process of a lot of players you look who's Chris Collins was one of the smartest guys in the whole business right I mean no one questions what a smart guy he is he's the one who said that on our show when this conversation 1st began I remember where we were sitting at the Super Bowl now you know one of our shows leading up to in the Super Bowl week and he said I would I played I would much rather you hit me in the head than hit me in the knee and he was basically saying what this is going to do is it's going to increase the number of guys getting hit at a lovely is because they're still blaming the defender when the office of receiver changes. Levels which which I mean it is difficult to do so the the defender says well I have to go even lower that so I can't fall into that trap and I'll go lower which is the same thing as throwing a guy out of a game last night for throwing a 77 mile an hour curve ball into a guy's back that he did we know he didn't do it on purpose just like we know when football much of the time these hits that wind up on my money changing thing that's why I hate him it's Ok right but it makes sense the rule makes sense because you're trying to take headshots out of the game whether they're advertently or inadvertently want them to err on the side of not hitting a guy in the head because those 15 yards in the big picture to the adults making these decisions aren't as important as what's going to happen to these guys later on in their lives and so that we could make the same discussion Yeah you know yes Paul don't like it though I don't like I don't like the fact you get penalize for that but I don't know the answer I mean obviously in college they review it and decide if it was targeting i do we want more reviews in football that we want to review that says Ok the receiver doctors' head so it's not going to count against the defensive player that I don't know how your far you take it then it really gets jumbled that way so it's tough I hate it maybe it says a former defender but I hated defender getting paralyzed for the right intention of doing the right thing and because the receiver dropped his head to a lower level he gets kind of life but you realize you sound exactly like a baseball player saying this is how we do things and this is how they've always been done and you can't legislate this stuff out and let us handle it ourselves because we understand I'm not saying Oh look I thing let him handle it themselves I'm saying find a way to to to decide which way you think it went that's what I'm saying I mean that's what they're doing in college they're actually reviewing it to see if Ok did you get him did did he break the rule that we have in place but we're already so many instances of plays that clearly know not look you know mentioning my frustration yes I agree. I think it's more similar then then you're making it sound I think those mentalities want to be similar I know and I know you don't want to hide Sashi Brown is ready to go here we go as we continue to wrap up what was a really interesting and I felt draft we've had people from so many of the places where they made a really big decisions and no bigger ones were made than the ones in Cleveland and joining us now on the shell Pennzoil performance line is the general manager of the Cleveland Browns Sasha Brown is with us and Mike and Mike good morning Sachi How are you today. Good morning felt I'm doing well nice to be with you a lot to our pleasure to have you and let's let's start right at the very top where Miles Garrett had been the presumptive number one pick throughout so much of this process and my partner sit next to me and so many others were discussing it as though it was a no brainer and then all of a sudden there came into the conversation late in the process a whole bunch of talk about quarterbacks perhaps because there's always talk about quarterbacks So take us through take us through the decision making process that number one basically from the end of the season until the moment you handed in that card. Is Sure so you know 1st great great opportunity for us that want to always I think every team thinks you know we're going to solidify the quarterback position and for us here in Cleveland we recognize. And certainly our fan base recognizes we haven't sort of cut the position and you know the history is well documented so I won't go into it so I think naturally we understood there was always going to be some. Some. You know writing out there some suspicion that that would make you a quarterback but Miles really was a guy that you know from the start of the college football season and prior to that we we had our eyes on what watching. We didn't know we would be in the number one position at that point but a guy that you know really since he entered the s.c.c. As a freshman at Little League on fire and. You know Colby said just incredible talent prospect and we have. To join but worked well through the processes and still do in the diligence kicking the tires on everyone were able to go with our coaches Hugh myself Greg Williams and Barry all went down to work miles out to get kids norm as a person as well so a couple of his games live so we had a lot of exposure to him and were real comfortable making a pitch. To Cleveland Browns and he's going to be a real stalwart force on the. Defensive front which is looking better and better hurry you know by draft class as get up front and he's going to be you know obviously the blue chip are up their force completely agree with that I absolutely love the pick when because there's all the talk leading all the way up to the draft at some point you guys had to close your your books either during the day or at the end of the day and say Myles Garrett is our pick at what point over the last couple of weeks or was it right on draft day when when did you decide he's our guy. Here probably a couple weeks before the draft you know just taking any information and making sure that that we're sure about everything you know we we have a lot of discussion might go on. Internally in our building really push on things that you know even if there's consensus that talk about this a little bit we really push even on those types of decisions to make sure we're not overlooking anything we had great discussion we really did and. Everybody felt good with Miles it really wasn't anything that that that was a negative for us in and what we look for to have them here for a long long period of time so. The bigger thing for us was was it going to be some activity where people would try to come up and get him and you know we we obviously would care for those scenarios but felt much better taking the player and that's where I was going next day and one thing I know if the phone rings you answer it just to hear what somebody has to say when you answered the phones were you ever close were you ever like that's pretty good deal and we're thinking about it so how close did it ever get. Know not very close I mean there were some teams that called but we really focused about Miles what are you going to be able to bring to the table and the reality is what we all know roster we need guys that we can rely on and feel great about that can change and transform position groups on our team Miles we felt like what then when it make it or a matter what we did we came away using the 1st pitch to have again it was really transform one of our is and I think with Ian Emmanuel on opposite sides of our front. What we're going to be you know a handful to deal with for some time to come now they're both going on their 1st and 2nd years playing obviously this year so there's a long bright future ahead for the defense front of the Browns from g.m. So if you Brown joining us here so then we get to pick 12 and the thought was Ok they're going to take at least I thought take Miles Garrett and if they want a quarterback they'll stay at 12 and get it if they feel the need to jump up then so be it we saw to trade for quarterbacks before your 12th pick one for 2 and then by Chicago and then can decide it coming up to 10 so at 12 you have the idea Shaun Watson was there consider one of the top 3 quarterbacks so we know you took to Shanghai's in a 2nd round so tell us a thought process a 12 there was a quarterback there yet you trade with the Houston Texans so can you take us through that. Realization that our roster still you know leads me to significant infusion of town and to be able to secure a 1st rounder next year from Houston and also select a player still in the 1st round we decided that was a better way for us to go we did like that we were high on the Shawn would feel like you got a great opportunity to be a good quarterback in the fleet but we did feel like the better option for our roster was was to move back in and take a player and situate ourselves next year with 2 in the 1st round and 3 in the 2nd round as we sit today and so you do that and then you do take a xan Keyser as mentioned in the 2nd round to be. I'm a quarterback so there were a lot there was so much talk about him as there are all the players leading up to the draft tell us what you see in the Sean Kaiser and what your projection is of him. Yes so obviously see big mobile athlete strong arm and has shown some real flashes of brilliance and he's smart you know competitive kid you know still developing both but mature beyond his years you know as experience at Notre Dame and everything that came with that. Has. Really given him great experience and he's a guy that we look forward to developing here in town put in our quarterback room along with. Kevin Holt in an opportunity to develop and since we compete to be our starter so we're not going to rush him into anything but feel like he's a great you know developmental prospect for us and they believe in you Jackson are great developers of quarterbacks so it'll be an intriguing tripping up or to me for him in for us you mentioned rocket's Wyler who you acquire in the trade and there is a lot of question as to whether he'll be there are now what are your plans for brackets while there. It is get much chance to come in and continue to compete start just 3 days into you know a face to when the guys can get back out on the field but he's done a great job since he's come in I know the trade was a little bit off cordon and counterintuitive to the way things are done traditionally and in our league but worked out for both sides in Houston and we're glad to add up you know until we solidify the spot and it's not you know reflection on anybody's who's been here previously but until we solidify the spot in front of long term start it will continue best in that position and we feel good about the transaction were able to pull off that work and I will bit of a pull off for block so in the quarterback situations with the top 4 quarterbacks we've basically. Talk to every you know all the people involved you know Glen in it's been said going to be the starter in Chicago to start out obviously in Kansas City there's no issue it's going to be Alex Smith over Holmes and then for the Texans You know Tom savage Bill O'Brien said he's going to be the starter and to Sean watch and Brandon Weeden will well split the back up what is the room going to be like in Cleveland with the quarterbacks from you know Hogan Dicastillo Das Wyler and Kaiser how is it how does that room start out on day one of that 1st big mini camp. Thing you know we're we were impressed with with Cody last year didn't have the greatest circumstance to come in to not be so we had a couple of injuries that forced him into play earlier than perhaps we would like but he really outfit him self well and played well courage and chilled accuracy which we saw from him at u.s.c. . But you know you still blocked his plate some and Kevin even came in to and again Wes you insist that he played the ball for so you know I think it's going to be an open temptation and you and David will decide ultimately who are sort of will be but we're excited about all 3 of those guys additional on coming into that room to give us a 4th opportunity may become our starter but you know I think the spring and then certainly just training camp will help us iron that out and and all the guys are in there working to get a great working the tails off and you know whatever ends up being our start of that group we'll get behind protect them and and you know play good defense department position once again for us. And so if you're Brown joining us and I also love the kid you got a 20 I joke with a Titan from Miami I think he's going to be an excellent talk about mismatches nowadays going to be a great mismatch for other team for teams and I like some of the later picks as well I'm not going to lie The Caleb Brantley one kind of struck me a little bit took him on a 6 from the deal I'm in from Florida issues with the. Hunching the young lady. And witnesses seeing what happened I know there's more information being gathered but after you drafted him you also said hey if we find out some things we don't like We're going to release them right away as well so I guess my question would be why why put yourself in that position in the 1st place and draft him. I think 1st the information we had at the time that you know I won't go into here haven't gone into what I think you know there's there's obviously always 2 sides to a story have to confirm and continue to verify and we're working on that now but you know there's a couple things when we want to obviously is the information we did have at the time suggested that as it was reported there was 2 sides of the story and some corroborating witnesses on the on the side of the table 2nd thing he hadn't actually been charged you know on this this is something that had happened sometime prior so independent of our interpretation and we'll see what the prosecutor office prosecutor's office does here but that was another thing there was no warrant issued for his arrest there was an allegation of what happened so we did our diligence one also we got a chance you know came up with it. You know the work that our scouts do on campus at Florida but also had him into or top 30 visit you know for us and that was that was helpful so we get to do a little bit chance that know the player in the person there and so we decided that we would based on all the information so what their understanding moon for that we would have to you know be able to verify some things about this incident that's been widely reported. And move forward so if we we want complement not taking that risk on we would have made the decision we do want to stand that will have to live with the consequences potentially if the facts turn out you know to definitely for us to have m r us as a how and when will you make that decision. You know I think well as the information becomes available and we're going to respect the legal process that's in in place here. But you know for us once we have all the information we're going to make it from a nation I don't want to you know prematurely you know rush to judgment or presume you know that we have all the facts so what to let the process play out and do as much work on it as we can and then make a decision I don't know you know what the legal process is sometimes it takes longer than than anticipated but we do anticipate here in the next several weeks that some resolution will come but let's finish this back on the field because I again I do think you guys had a really good draft with that trade with Houston you went down to 25 you take your bro peppers one of the. Players that through the season was talked about as a Heisman and then people started watching saying Ok Should he be there let's look at all the unbelievable things he does often simply defensively special teams as well we know we work out with the D.B.'s at the combine and the outside linebackers in your eyes how does he fit in this defense and what position will he be. He'll play our strong safety position and I think you guys all familiar with the work Gregg's will bring Williams Down with what players like this and they're coming to really more info now around the league from the cannon out there is on and others that you're seeing play is position but Romo Harper had a ton of success under Greg went to support the f. Lettuces I'm that guy and competitiveness brings to the position in the playing field while they're obviously for us he can ignore the special things that you know the return of both it and punts is special and when you get the ball is and you know you can they can impact the game and so the combination of skills that he brings as a defender but also a guy that if you get the ball to him and we want to stay in returning some ticks. For us an audience for us. Will really help us in field position and perhaps quite a balsam as well as this as a defender so we're really excited to have him you know added to our roster is a guy that we thought about a lot through our spring process and got a chance to know him well also one more shot as we go full circle back to Miles Garrett who I think was an excellent pick and I'd look forward to him in that the friends who are Greg but there were some pretty high profile former players that did talk about him and say they want to take a number one they thought he took too many plays off and didn't hostle on some plays Did you see that and did you talk about that with Myles care when when you met with him before the draft. So we saw that in a lot of players we saw some of that file and you know I think the pending on kind of what the scheme is and how you're being utilized. He understands the expectation in the standard that we're going to make great going to step forward defense. You know I think the number of plays when you're premier player and go you know this play not defensive line you know picking up 27075 pounds every down we go on full force exactly what we want but it can be tough over $6070.00 plays that you're playing in the Big 12 now you know and the n.s.e.c. Teams that are that are run in some of these offices and so you know we understood that piece of it when it when it came time to make plays in key plays we felt like that that he understands you know what the expectation will be moving forward and the other thing that you saw as realistically there was a player there that while he played the entire season played through a pretty serious I inclose spring that's not making any excuses for form and I don't think Miles what do you there but we got a real comfortable with his competitiveness you know he does not want to be out working what room on the playing field anywhere so we get real comfortable with the what he's going to bring to the table and be able to be a guy that's going to flick Baron terms of that type of. And that's an emergency we want to play with and will play with plus I'd never stand next to with my shirt on our head and 5 our heads I wouldn't want to share. Appreciated very much thank you so much I think it was a really interesting week it was interesting following your team all through the track process and good draft to look for to check in again soon thanks a 1000000 thanks. We appreciate it thanks I had Sasha Brown I know you think they got it exactly right at the time I do I like their pick I you know Pepper again you have to you talk about this a lot that this narrative the situation you go when Djibril peppers with a Greg Williams miles care with the Gregg Williams and that kind of a defensive coordinator in the scheme they run there are really good fit so I do think in the tight end they got I think they made a really good set time I got my presented by Progressive insurance in case you think the trapping over means we're done with my trash cans again. You can well we're not. let's see how many you have to go to before there could be any question that you need a 2nd name all right so I say Michael and Michael and you and I are obviously both named That was the most popular boy's name in America for something like 14 year yeah yes and has been displaced but for something like 40 years in our lifetime it was the number one most popular boy's name right and yet when you say Michael there isn't any question who you're talking back I agree there are millions and millions of Michael's Yeah but everyone knows who you mean to me is Michael Jackson there aren't as many there aren't as many Le Bron's but he's 2 that's the one name club Kareem is 3 Koby is 4 Shaq is 56 is Tim Duncan Duncan you probably need the name that I mean if you just said to me everyone knows to me I think you would know yeah we're losing at 7 because you can't just say Karl Karl Malone horrible all you could say the mailman right there good kind of where it goes you could it's certainly over by 9 with Tony Parker. So he's not I could probably go by degrading it for Secure said fundamental the fund of the big fundamental right that's Duncan your words I was call Malone known he's known as as the male mailman Jerry West as the logo logo Tony Parker she was once married to a famous actress is French I don't know number 9 and courses Larry yeah you don't need another name for that 11 is d. Wade now 12 is Hondo 13 is the dream 14 is magic it actually says magic and is even actually has given a magic to her Scotty we would all know what percentage of people do you think don't know Magic Johnson's real name like what percentage I wonder if my son my son . Loves basketball he loves the history of the game he knows Michael Jordan his mom is from Chicago so he's got Michael Jordan posters all over his room I wonder if he you know I don't know I have never I don't remember ever asking him that question I wonder if he's 14 but I wonder if he knows in question magic sexual for an interesting question Is there anyone in this room who doesn't I'm looking around the room look at Pickle Barrel Well you know you know you know you know Travis doesn't know and I want to read it but so I may have said it is here does anybody know Doc Rivers real 1st name does anyone not know Doc Rivers real 1st name and who does not know his real 1st name it's Cole and Travis didn't know either that's because he's just been Doc Rivers forever looks exactly like what he was in high school people thought he looked like Dr Joe I mean that you know was some Someone told all along the way that he was Dr j. And I not overtravel I still can't look at him in 90 minutes only 5 and a half because personally that literally let your effect Ok there's a mock draft Yes sir you know people make people mock mock drafts and I get it right it's just it's just people guessing but you know what i love of god bless them every single time Mel or make shade put out a mock draft or in that whole process leading up to the draft I am I am stuck to it like glue and when they assign to the Jets a player I don't like I blame the Jets. Like Mel gives the Jets a player I don't like at 6 and I'm yelling and screaming only the Jets could possibly screw things up that badly and yet who cares I love every 2nd of it so I get that this is way too early and then I say hey doing it but he does it and I love it so here we go according to Todd makes a the 1st pick of the 2018 n.f.l. Draft will belong to the Cleveland Browns and they will select. Sam darn old quarterback u.s.c. Now here's a couple of questions they just selected a quarterback I said it into Sean Kaiser So Mike what do you think the likelihood let's say Cleveland does you know that they are certainly expected to pick very high next year do you think that they will as you make a prediction they will see enough a surprise or easy they will feel they can trade out well 1st you have to sway and see what you see in Kaiser but also if Sam Donald ranks as high as many people think he's going to rank they'll take him if he will read it it seems I'm not going to do it yet but the highest rated quarter from a rating again these aren't the teams these are all the rating systems was in the eighty's correct right the highest rated class risky known in the like to risk it was all their weight on I'm sorry yes yes yes I believe was 80 Donal I mean nobody can stop talking about this kid I mean that he's going to rate high enough and if he's rated high by the team has Man 64 to 25 I mean we're going to talk these 1st 3 that are quarterbacks and their sizes or what and how they play their program to pickle n.f.l. Type pocket guys and can move so yes I think he'll be rated high enough that Cleveland has a pick they would say we can't pass at all but here's the here's the best case scenario right the best case scenario is what happened in Tennessee 2 years ago yes they are the one pick in the draft and they were set it quarterback exactly got it right as ransom Also if you're Cleveland and Darnel to sitting there who everybody is dying for and we still he's still a 5050 shot he is but you better love you better love who you're going to well you gotta like Kaiser You gotta know you have to love Kaiser Well do you think there's a lot of Kaiser is it possible that Kaiser gives them enough to love it don't know where I don't know he got it you got to be going to have to roll the dice you know you're going after you're not going to roll the dice if Sam Donald grades out as high as people think there's no dice to roll you're going to take him that. Unless Kaiser comes in and plays extremely well and you say oh man I mean the suing is a roofer this guy ah come on right there you got to see is the rule then then you're in a great position to say we're going to quarterback and we have this pick or did you make shade the San Francisco 49 ers will take 2nd so it's the same draft order at one and 2 that we had this year and he is projecting that the 40 Niners will select Josh Allen quarterback Wyoming you're going to like this kid you haven't seen a lot of him 65 another kid about 2 and a quarter they can all move some but they're not that huge running threats I love his arm love the way throws a ball no doubt about it obviously needs time to get more consistent in reading defenses and all that but I do like I do like his I like him for on on the run I like what he brings I believe the how the the quarterback class we just talked about this year where there was a lot of. I To me it's going to be a lot different this year with the 1st 2 guys you mentioned and the next one you're going to mention with the number 3 pick in the 2018 draft Todd McShay has the New York Jets taking Josh Rosen quarterback u.c.l.a. 64 back to 20 I know the one got hurt last year though that knocked him out a little bit completion percentage that this was my biggest concern with him but another guy that can move around in the pocket can get yards if you need downfield but I like his arm I like all their arms I like all their sizes I like their abilities to be a threat running not not a huge danger running but enough of a threat today's danger of the n.f.l. I do like all these quarterbacks and. That should happen it would be the 3rd time in n.f.l. History that quarterbacks went $12.00 and $3.00 in the same draft Can you name the other 2. Of quarterbacks going with the top 3 picks in the draft no Googling the answer next after a word. I love all the Twitter reaction here and there's one in particular that I like from Ben and Deborah and she tweets at us thanks for that bit of information I'm 59 years old I love sports and I never knew Doc Rivers real personal and that while I I'm sure way more people didn't know his 1st name is going over the fact of a Magic Johnson's 1st name although not everyone knows that either true whereas here Chad I just as my 12 year old sports junkie son if you knew Magic Johnson's real 1st name in his answer was magic you know my son Steve he's not allowed to have his phone in school that they don't let them have their phone so I can't text him and ask him if he knows he doesn't he's 14 you don't sneak it in no they actually I think they take it from them when they get there early and I'm almost positive I'm not I'm not sure of that but one way or another I get my point is I don't know the answer to that if my son knows his 1st name is urban I wonder if everyone who knows it surfing knows how it's spelled Yeah good to spelled a right r. Vi and you're getting a little too difficult. To see here well who else what other athletes that are so known by their nicknames that people may not even know what their 1st name is who else is. Out of glory like a lot of guys who have nicknames but everyone it was George the iceman girl if you have to go back to the early stages of baseball with all the great nicknames out there that's have to go like was dizzy Dean's real name dizzy it probably wasn't right was it was it that there was Dizzy Dean and Daffy Dean we're brothers and I want to yack Chipper Jones ever know Chipper Jones real name I think I do it's Larry when they were channel area Adam and they named it sun shade a. So so those ads were quite well to do that one day where the nicknames like on his Hall of Fame plaque Well it's a chipper Oh I I would have chipper let's say Larry Chipper Jones could be that yeah I mean his name is an adjective I mean all fame put on there whatever why. Send you the answers are No No Ok then you don't know I don't know Ok then let's see if you can guess I don't know according to Todd make Shay's way too early my traffic that quarterbacks will go 12 and 3 next year and his order same Donnel Josh Allen Allen and Josh Rosen it's happened twice before I would have thought you would get one of Kelly Smith here correct yeah do you remember who the other quarterbacks were it was 99 right it was 99 I think by and remember the quarterbacks Well that was that was make them brighter wreck it was 2 and you're really 3 would act was one where you're from. Oh correction Ok we wiped it out of our memories when you're from Cleveland Tim Couch went one McNally went to Achilles myth when 3 and 2 other quarterbacks I want to say Dante Culpepper and Josh McCown on the top Well it Ok to make now didn't make now and went 12 and 13 I think or 13 and 14 they were right in that area that was the one that I think I would have had a chance to get the one I would not have gotten was 1971 but you know all the names the number one pick that year in the draft was Jim Plunkett the number 2 pick was Archie Manning and the number 3 pick was Dan pastoring all while there you go who is a very good quarterback and I think he or lawyers those teams that could never quite get past. The Steelers and they want to be traded for Ken Stabler you have 5 quarterbacks that you're in the top 12 you don't take all proper want to live in a cave make I was 11 in 12 yeah wow going back to be the nicknames Yeah I got a few for you Ok so this is for those in the country didn't get to hear this part of the conversation we asked allowed on the list of greatest players of all time the kind the statistical thing it actually list Magic Johnson as Magic Johnson and I just wondered how many guys are there that do people even know what his real 1st name is and we figured out everyone knew Magic's name but not everyone knew Cliff Doc Rivers real name is Glenn and then what Also who else is known so well known by their nickname that you may not even know their 1st name Tiger you know what percentage of people don't know his real name it's such an unusual name does anyone in this room not know his 1st name. Yeah yeah that was not on the it's Eldrick now is Rick Yeah Bubba Watson. Is Bubba not his you know I don't I don't know I V's are I'm not sure to the best of my knowledge Bubba lots is a reason it is our problem if you get this it's a bubble. Oh that's a good one it's a I'd have never knew that it's a cherry less carry less Washington Jr I absolutely did not know that it's Gerry with a g if you I swear to you I woll lost a bet on that if you would bet me that his name was not. My guess it would have been questioning why you were betting me that. I get what it felt like I said up but if you were just asked me you know casually is his real name Bob I would have thought it was absolutely thought it was Boomer Esiason I know his real name actually one time I saw him and called him by his real name just to have fun with his name is Norman Norman right but yeah right now though I just put up on my screen goose guy said I know I know Israel and you know his real name on his baseball card it didn't say goose at least some of those ones didn't because I remember having his baseball color so I should die I might know its name is Rich Rich Guy such I think the toughest one was Bubba Watson never were you as well I don't know all I ever really didn't know do you think everyone knows Babe Ruth's real name. Well your son doesn't I bet my son does not yeah his name is George Herman Ruth How about Penny Hardaway. Penny is not his name and pretty hard and Ernie correct Clyde Frazier I think people generally know Clyde is more of a nickname people know Walt Frazier's name I'm just repeating the want to put Well he's Yeah you know so there's a good little good I think oh yeah that is taking it back by the way if you Miss Ashley Brown is with us here in our number for any of the other good conversation we had today really interesting stuff Stephen it was some good takes and in our number 3 and more you can listen to any and all 4 hours of Mike and Mike on demand in the e.s.p.n. App you can also subscribe to the best of my to my podcast to all available to listen tab of the e.s.p.n. App quickly let me ask you this you understand Arnold you're the quarterback of u.s.c. You're going into the season and basically everyone on planet Earth is projecting you to be the number one pick in the draft right here next year unless what happens . Lets you get hurt right stop there so we said this about you know you want to get her knee I mean you could be seeing people so wrong if that's all they did her right to do that yes that's the danger absolutely so. We saw this Richard Evian Clowney people started talking to him people it is here don't even place it out now quarterbacks not going to that court I can't do that you know if a quarterback sat out the season he'll generally wouldn't go number one teams would have a real quote problem by that but does it or does it not you think get into his head at least a little or the heads of all these guys with all the talk that goes on out there in the head of all these guys now seeing what happened to look at Yale and Smith to look at you but from this year the Titan from Michigan in the Orange Bowl blew out his knee to look at the 2 guys that sat out one for an 8 you know and for net and Christian McCafferty's so that yes they're going to look at all of that and it'll come down to a personal decision as I said I would never do it I couldn't even think about doing it would it would not have entered my mind but again I played my last year was 185 I'm playing now but I still don't think it. What entered my mind but I'm not going to sit here and say they're wrong for doing it they're making a decision based on what they feel they need to do Not a huge fan of it especially as I said if it bleeds into the regular season this is a ballgame that we're talking about of a belief that a regular season and certainly would have more of an issue with it I just couldn't do it and for the most part guys don't do it right I mean you're talking about a couple of people so I suspect that's really all we're just going to write because they're the only ones who might want to fact like if you're a potentially a 2nd round pick could always play well in that poll showing the right you might get that might actually elevate your status you know so those guys are going to sit it out they're not a quarterback if a quarterback sat out even a quote unquote meaningless bowl game I think teams would look a little bit sideways at that not saying they wouldn't still take them but if you say the talent would still went out Muggsy Bogues I'm not Audie I don't know I don't know if they brought up your fat lever I know his name Tiny Archibald I know his name but Muggsy Bogues I did not know they just said in my ear it's Tyrone Tyrone I honestly don't I'm sure one point in my life I knew that I couldn't come up with a no that lever was like he had lever and Tiny Archibald Nate Archer of all right not to be confused find the main guy on Gossip Girl.
