But it likely wont pass in the democraticled senate. My superintendents and administrators that have to live within the confines of the budget say thats not enough. This inability to compromise has led lawmakers to a discussion a situation that by law should have been resolved last session. Its kind of been an issue thats been prevalent for us and that we can democratic survey polled School Administrators which claimed 88 percent of them recommended a budget increase of at lease 4 percent. Makes the difference between the programs the district can continue and their ability to have competitive pay for employees. But the uncertainty puts them at a disadvantage. Both were arrested yesterday and each charged with two counts of murder. Authorities say. Back in march of 2006, the two intentionally set a house on fire on this property in rural Wapello County. They say the men showed up uninvited to a 21st Birthday Party at the house. The next morning a neighbor reported the house was on fire but two men never made it out. 20 year old Nathan Messer and 22 year old Seth Anderson died of smoke inhalation. With no cause of the fire the case eventually went cold until new information was revealed. here recently information was brought forward that alleged the fire was started intentionally by the individuals that were involved in physical altercation at the residence. both yenger and dye are being held in the Wapello County jail. Each on a 500 Des Moines Police are still following up on leads in the citys first homicide of the year. Police found the body of 71year old Norma Jean Mcneeley in her home on pioneer road early sunday morning. Theyre not saying how they believe mcneeley died. But the Police Report indicates nothing was taken from the home. Police say theyre conducting interviews and processing evidence. But do not have a suspect at this time. Were awaiting autopsy results in the death of a prominent des moines architect police are trying to determine if 62 year old kirk bluncks the death was an accident. Or a criminal act. Blunck and his firm are credited with several historic renovations in des moines. Including the teachout building in the east village where blunck died. His body was found sunday.
