A handful of des moines homicides this year have involved young lives but Des Moines Police say there are no connections, and people shouldnt fear going out on court avenue. We look at every homicide as its own, specific incident. You know, you have to look at the contributing factors for each of them to figure out why they happened. Other cars spun out hitting black ice on bridges and overpasses. But the big problem for many are scenes like this. Accumulating ice bringing down trees and in some cases blocking roadways.
