Because after all asylumseekers can appeal even if their request has been denied. A lot of shortterm measures, measures that will speed up the asylum process, but no, no longterm plans as such and that is why european leaders and german leaders are appealing to European Solidarity and compassion. Also, the surplus that the German Government had this year, so its quite possible that next year, even the high figures will have to be put on the table. It remains to be seen.
