Seconds after walking into the kitchen, a bus crashed into janet Browns Living room. It happened north of park fair mall about 5 30 last night. One passenger on the bus says the driver had a medical issue and lost control. The driver and another passenger went to the hospital after a passerby tore the doors off the bus and helped them escape. Brown says the crash nearly destroyed her house. I was just sitting in the living room and got up to go into the kitchen to do my dishes and the whole house just shook, out brown says shes also wrried about her 6 cats who disappeared when this bus hit her home. The Des Moines Police department and Des Moines Area Regional Transit Authority are investigating the crash. A texas home is a total loss after a semi ran into it. Dubuque police say a woman drove off after Galena Police tried to stop her in a walmart parking lot this morning. Officers took her to Mercy Medical center in dubuque. Authorities have not released the womans name at this point in time. A former iowa band teacher pleaded guilty to sexually abusing a 15yearold girl. 32yearold Benjamin Thompson entered the plea on monday. He was charged with 3 counts of sexual abuse of the thompson was the band teacher at pella high school. Prosecutors say he had a sexual relationship with the charles city girl in may and july of 2011. March 28th. Thompson also pleaded not guilty to 3 counts of Sexual Exploitation by a school a hearing on those charges is set for april 5th. Two men are in the Dubuque County jail this morning for breaking into someones home. Office responded to a house near the intersection of asbury and 5 point lane road near graf. That was about 11 15 yesterday morning. Police say 22 year old logan ball was inside and taking items from the house when the homeowner confronted him. The two fought, but ball got away and ran to a car that 22 year old Andrew Hochberger was driving. The homeowner gave a vehicle description and Law Enforcement was able to pick them up. Both are in the Dubuque County jail on 1st degree burglary charges.
