A husband and wife, dressed to kill. They opened fire at a Holiday Gathering for county health workers. A search of their home turned up weapons, a aozen pipe bombs and a huge cache of weaponry. This morning, a closer look at the most revealing images yet of the lethal weapons used in the investigators searching the home of the two alleged killers, syed farook, and his wife, Tashfeen Malik. Its like youre trying to initiate conversation. And it just doesnt perpetuate or get anynyere. Reporter baccaris life was spared because he went to the restroom just ashe killers were about to enter the room. He was using the paper towel dispenser when the shots came through the wall. I get hit with a blast. I dont know what it is. Didienser was booby trapped. But it didnt disintegrate. Reporter it blows up in your face. You look in the mirror. I see im bleeding. Reporter he tries to send a text to his wife. Were hearing the gunfire takelace. Im tryiyi to contact my wife and tell her i love her and that im okay. Reporter he could only type out two words. It said gunman attacked. I didnt connect it. I didnt know what was going on. I tried to reach him. I couldnt get through. Reporter this is the text here . Yes. Gunman attacked. Thats all you could get out. Overnight here, a vigil honoring the victims. There were thousands at that vigil. The entire list of the victims released overnight as they were gathering to honor and mourn. Their faces, their names. I should share one more thing that coworker patrick shared with us. He was inside this center at t t table with him. He did notice that when it was christmas photo, farook was missing. He thought nothing of it until the gunfire began blasting through the wall. It was awhile later until he heard the name syed. Youll be back later in the program. In the meantime, the fbi is treating the shootings as a possible terror attack. Imam claims he was questioned by authorities at gunpoint. He would not answer questions about farook but told abc news he condemns all violence. The news of the shooting was shocking. Unbelievable. Deputies with the Buchanan County Sheriffs Office are worored the number of crashes between cars and amish buggies will increase. They say with fewer hours of daylight, drivers are spending more time in the dark when its harder to see the buggies. Last friday, the sheriffs fice responded to a crash west of hazleton. They say thats where a car hit a buggy with 7 people inside at about 45 to 50 miles per hour. Horse. This s the third crash to involve a car anan buggy in the county since mid october. Authorities in Johnson County say training for situations involving active shooters has almost become routine for Law Enforcement. Sheriff Lonny Pulkrabek says everyone in his department trains at least once a year for these situations. The county also obtained a mine resistant ambush protected vehicle, or mrap, last year. Jjnson county has used the mrap on at least two occasions. One was during a standoff last year and another was during summer flooding. And now heres your first alert forecast.
