They released this 12page incident report with three different officers accounting what happened, all justifying the use of deadly force. But the dogs owner doesnt agree with any of that. She was here for the last moments of that dogs life, and oh, there they go. Oh, my god. Reporter panic on 911 when neighbors at this complex see a woman surrounded by two aggressive dogs. We got two pit bulls on the loose. One has attacked somebody. Please, hurry, hurry, hurry. Reporter police say when the officer approached the larger of the two dogs grould, taking an aggressive stance. The officer said he was frightened and shot the dog. To say hesev act aggressively, it should come with some credence that he does know what hes talking about. Reporter valeria rios had to put her dog down from his wound. This video of their final moments together has gone viral. He didnt deserve to get shot. Reporter rios showed us the other dog in the incident. Theyre often mistaken as pit bulls, something even officers on the scene did. But this afternoon Aurora Police were permitted in town, saying responding officers exaggerated about the incident. She was not attacked. Angelo did grab her dog. Roughed him up a little but let him go. A vicious dog would have killed that dog. Police say based on the dogs behavior, the breed didnt matter. If were able to comprehend or recognize aggressive behavior then the officers are going to do what they feel is necessary to protect the public and themselves. Aurora police say that dog did have a being an aggressive animal. Police officers were wearing body cameras during this incident but the footage has not been made public yet. We have new details of a first look at the chaos that unfolded last month when a Parker Police officer killed a man who just shot a detective. Today Police Released this video from the body camera that that officer was wearing that day. Parker where the events took place. Police tell us the shooter was firing from this field. One of the bullets going as far as to pass through an Office Building through interior walls, through a computer monitor and in to a hospital exam room. Theres also a middle school near here and there was traffic in the shooters path. He pulled that down with my underwear, performed oral sex, penetrated him. Reporter a jury convicted wilkerson of Sexual Assault. His first criminal conviction. But the surprise for her was what came next. Judge Patrick Butler gave him 20 years of probation and work release, meaning nights in jail but days could be spent working or in school. I just wanted justice which was four to six years. I asked for the maximum sentence. You wanted him to go to prison . Yes. Reporter the sentence sparked outrage. 82,000 people signed this online petition seeking the judges recall for what was characterized as a lenient sentence. Is it just a slap on the wrist . Because weve had really several months of dry weather on the eastern plains. About four months without decent moisture. Compared to last week at this time, about 50 of the state was in a drought. Now were up to 65 . Another big change is here the front range mountain areas, down in to parts of Douglas County and Jefferson County, were now under a moderate drought area. Now its extending a bit more in our dry weather is starting to actually cause a little bit of damage out there. It is going to be dry for the next several days.
