We have a closure obviously because theres a lot of work to do. 6th is still closed ee while denver water works to repair the broken main and that nearly 130yearold pipe, its amazing its lasted this long. It took some serious work to actually access this break. Just after 6 00 this morning water started spilling out onto 6th street, creating quite the hydroplane. Once denver water shut the water off they got to work to access this historic pipe. As a result hundreds were left without water. Pablos coffee shop closed its doors because of the mess. Not exactly an ideal situation. Of course we need water to make coffee here, and we had to let all of our loyal customers and friends who come here know that we couldnt prepare their morning. Hopefully the water will come back on. Eight hours was the estimate from 7 00 this morning. The pipe is from the 1890s. Are you surprised by that . Thats a good pipe, yeah. All right. Reporter that is a good pipe. What youre looking at is the original cast iron pipe from the 1890s. Theyre still going to repair it and hope it holds. Broken. Those protests started at the state capitol. They moved to the 16th street mall. Police kept them from blocking traffic there. But some of them eventually ended up on the interstate. A man led Law Enforcement officers on a chase that covered 11 miles in Colorado Springs. The Highway Patrol started the chase where a man was apparently yelling and honking dangerously. The chase ended up on highway 24y Colorado Springs officers joined them. At one point shots were fired, but its not clear who fired them. The suspect used his truck to shove the Police Cruiser into a tree. Officers finally used their cars to stop the man damaging both cruisers. The man was arrested and taken to the hospital. Prosecutors say a man in evergreen will unlikely go to cubs. A jury convicted dan williams. He says he shot the bears after they attacked his dogs. A piece of colorado history has new owners. This double barreled high, if you will, over the nations midsection stays locked in gear through saturday and sunday. For today were looking at a few passing clouds and that will be about it.
