Calls a high risk eviction, 8 deputies arrived wednesday morning to the home of 58yearold martin wirth, just north of bailey, to get him out, and instead, were met with gunfire. Reporter three deputies were shot, including wounds to carrigan before the deputies returned fire, killing wirth. One deputy taken to st. Anthonys hospital remains in serious condition. Reporter investigators say after catching one man, a second suspect got away and hid for two hour, 3 30 a. M. The hopped suspect officer. He yelled, shoot me, kill me, three officers fired on him. Around here, for no reason, practically, to me it seems. Reporter the number of officerinvolved shootings, 7 in the region since 2014, makes him scared for his grandchildren. He says he found a shell casing in his yard. I went to throw the trash and it was on the ground. Hospital. So far, investigators are not releasing his name or the names of the officers. Body camera were on and rolling at the time. L investigators are reviewing the video. Later told us that they believe that the man who died was wanted on felony charges.
