Joe, thank you so much. New this morning, Denver Police single car crash. This happened at ex position and navajo. One person in the hospital with serious injuries and another in Police Custody after a crash spanned a couple of blocks ended at 38th and brighton. We are awaiting word from Denver Police on whom they say was possibly drunk driving. The roads are now back open this morning. We are learning more about a shooting that left one teenager dead in denver. The teens apparently climbed over a mans fence to get to his illegal marijuana plants. The homeowner apparently shot them. Now another teen is stepping forward and saying he, too was shot. The shooting took place last month out a home on high street in denver. The homeowner, keith hammock, has been formally charged with and attempted murder. Those charges now include a third victim. This instance happened about a year ago. It doesnt appear the victim at that time filed a formal report or complaint with the police. He was treated at the hospital but gave a different story how he was shot. A shuttle that takes thousands of people to dia is going out of business and now those passengers dont have another option because of the problems with the a line to the airport. There is an idea of what will be coming for passengers once those problems with the a line as this Shuttle Service passengers from arvada have been enjoying for some time. They are certainly disappointed to hear that. Take a look at this shuttle theyve been using for a few years now, its provided by ride provide and goes from old town arvada directly to the airport. Its a Nonprofit Service that relies on funding from rtd. Now that the a line takes passengers from here at Union Station to dia, anyone traveling from arvada will need to take a new rail service to the g line, its not ready because of trouble on the a line. Starting next month the ride provide shuttle will stop and the g line wont be ready. The a line, the service that takes you to the airport, needs new software to help with the timing issue at certain crossings. Rtd said the g line was supposed to start this fall, but not given an exact date. Weve prideed ourselves in. And our determination was we shouldnt. Reporter because they are losing that funding from rtd, that shuttle from arvada will stop. There are alternatives available, including the b line or a bus service along u. S. 36. Drought has expanded on the way south into denver, and parts of douglas county. Theres a Little Pocket on the far eastern plains. Were abnormally dry or predrought in the front range mountains and foothills and across southern colorado. We are here to give you a view of the water. When we talk about the drought thats currently in place, this is a meteorological drought or shortterm deficit in precipitation and that has more of an impact on growing, not full, not quite, but pretty high for this time of the year. Denver water telling me theyre at 89 storage capacity. We are in good shape. But its the mountains behind me that will tell the tale as we go into the weeks ahead. We definitely need a good year of mountain snowfall to ensure good Water Supplies for the year ahead. For now, conserve where you can and hope the snow comes winter. Thats the top of a big ridge of High Pressure that is firmly in control of our weather. Thats where the jet stream is located. The jet steers storm system. Now theyll be steered away from colorado. Everybody under the control of this High Pressure ridge will have warmer than normal temperatures, including all of us here in colorado. There is a front to the north the next several days. Cant move south because of this ridge. Once the ridge breaks down next week, the front can come south and that will be our one chance of seeing rain and that wont be until tuesday. Until then, sunny and warmer than normal. In fact tomorrow well be within 5 degrees of the record. The record is 84. Were expecting 80. 75 sunday. 73 monday. Thieves posing as irs agents are fooling students into paying thousands of dollars for a federal student tax that doesnt exist.
