We were here just a few days ago talking about a deadly shooting just outside of the bar along 27th street. Now were ending the week back outside of the bar because the city has decided to close down cold crush. Theyre saying its being considered a Public Health risk and because of that, they need to shut down the business. This again just comes days after Denver Police detectives were looking at bullet holes here along 27th street, h crush bar. One man died in that shooting, and another was seriously injured. The city could file a public nuisance case. But for now the Liquor License has been suspended. Investigators will be looking into if there were illegal activities happening at the business. People who enjoy coming to cold crush said they felt like home here and it was a Gathering Place for many in the community. But others say they didnt feel fe in their own neighborhood. Even with the police down here, you know, ive asked for help. People urinating back here. I know i can come to cold crush and find people that appreciate diversity and social justice and equity. Reporter we were unable to get in touch with the owners to comment on this decision. But the city will now have 15 days to move forward on that investigation that includes the liquor suspension which is still in place. So again for now, the bar closed.
