Crews are working to mop up all the hot spots after a massive fire broke out on green mountain. It burned 300 acres and this morning is 90 contained. But people are waiting to evacuate. People living in this neighborhood able to return home yesterday evening. While the fire is mostly caused it to spread so quickly yesterday evening. Fire mostly contained, but that wind is fierce. You heard ashton talk about how its going to pick up today. Fire crews likely will be looking for hot spots that could flare up because of this wind throughout the morning. Fire came close to this neighborhood. Residents were asked to leave if you feel danger, have pets or livestock to move or need additional time to evacuate, leave now. This may be the only notice you receive. Reporter it could be seen for miles as the flames lit up the night sky. It was initially reported as five to 7 acres in size, was up to 300 in the hour. People left with just enough leave. Are you thinking about i dont know. I dont know whats going on. How close it is or have you seen the flames . Oh, yeah, theyre all over. Reporter fire crews worked quickly to get the fire contained. Luckily they did. They did have structure protection in place in case. This morning winds still an issue and its even as individuals thats something to be cognizant of this morning. Again, fire crews will be on scene monitoring this fire. There is word of five survivors in the crash of a plane in colombia carrying one of brazils top soccer teams. A charter flight carrying 81 because of an electrical failure. There was also poor weather, mainly heavy rains, which has made rescue difficult. A man is dead in a shooting in adams county. Police say it happened near the 5700 block of logan street near i25 and 58th. Denver police got first wind of it when a man showed up at a hospital with a gunshot wound. That person died. No word on why the shooting happened or how. Fires in tennessee are so gatlinburg area. Firefighters were going door to door as that fire spread across the Great Smoky MountainsNational Park known for the moisture that frequently makes the park look smoky with its fog. A 16 story hotel was destroyed. The burned at least 500 acres. Its burning now on the edge of dollywood, the theme park owned wind gusts as high of 70 had that fire on the move. There are trees and old growth forests coming down, led to Power Outages and people are being told to evacuate.
