We learned last night from south metro they are sending two engines to respond to that fire, as well as a strike team leader. The fire was 2400 acres last night. Lets take a look at video from last night. That information coming from south metro on monday evening around 7 00, and things have been changing since then. More than a thousand people are forced to evacuate or leave their homes because of this fire happening in southern colorado. Again, those two engines have been sent from our area to help. Fire crews expect to get more aircraft up and fighting the fire once the sun comes up this morning. Heres a little bit about what deal with yesterday. The house below us was on fire, so by the time i got up here they had already had the road blocked off. He grabbed a few things and got down here. Reporter so at this point were told that at least seven buildings have been destroyed by the fire and it continues to grow in size. Theres no estimate on containment, b far.
