Laura gunfire rang out in the lobby of this holiday inn. Urbandale police say officer anthony brooks, officer justice weaver and sgt. Jeff casey seen here in an interview with kcci back in 2012 i have been a Police Officer in urbandale for 16 years. Laura were all involved in the shooting. But they wont say who fired the deadly shot. After the grand jury, i know a lot of stuff can come out will come out but until them unfortunately we cant disclose a lot of that. Laura kcci has learned yahia who is pictured here in a previous mug shot has a long criminal history. Online records list several theft convictions owis and robberies. Authorities have had 253 interactions with yahia in polk county since 2006. Urbandale police say this shooting is still under investigation and their body cameras will play an important i know there is video and i know it is evidence so it will be a whole part of the process. Elizabeth kccis tried to talk with yahias family but they said they are not ready to speak. When the investigation is complete authorities will turn , over everything to the polk county attorney who will most likely call on a grand jury. In the meantime, the three officers are on paid administrative leave. Eric a lifesaving day at a local lake. The dnr is calling two fishermen heroes for rescuing an indianola man from nearfreezing waters. Kccis ryan smith has more with how it all unfolded. Ryan s. a day of ice fishing on lake ahquabi. Ryan s. the park ranger says rauzi had 10 maybe 15 minutes before hypothermia set in. The two buddies drove around the lake rushing to the shore. The other man was already laying on the ground and then there was a younger gal that was running back and forth between them , screaming.
