Police say 20yearold Erica Johnson was found around 6 00 this morning. They say they were concerned about her safety because johnson has special needs and diminished mental capacity. Turning to news from around the state, residents in the town of madrid are mourning today after School Football coach randy hinkel. Officials say he suffered a fatal heart attack yesterday. Hinkel coached madrid for 29 seasons, compiling a 26458 record and 25 playoff appearances. His team won the state championship in 1991, and had 7 runnerup finishes. Hinkel is a member of the Iowa Football Coaches Association hall of fame. He was 58 years old. The former sheriff in powesiek county has been arrested after a state audit found more than 300,000 missing. Tom sheets has been charged with theft in the second degree. The arrest stems from an investigation by the state auditor which reviewed operations from 2010 to 2013. Sheets arraignment is set for january 11. We were there this morning when governor branstad signed an executive order to combat Cyber Security threats in iowa. The executive order calls on state agencies to draft a Cyber Security strategy, and to update iowas Emergency Response plan consequences of a cyber attack against the state. The governor says when it comes to Cyber Security, the state can never be too prepared. Mr. Branstad we are trained to be as well prepared as we could be, but it is difficult to know where it will come from.
