The pella fire chief says the kitchen area appears to be intact, indicating that the blaze may not have started there. Under investigation. No injuries were reported new at noon, a lee county prosecutor has decided not to file charges over allegations that a land agent offered to hire a prostitute for a landowner if he would allow an Oil Pipeline Company access to his land. Lee county attorney mike short told the Des Moines Register on monday there wasnt enough evidence to prosecute. He also said that it is likely the landowner, Hughie Tweedy of montrose, set up a meeting with the agent in order to embarrass the pipeline company. The proposed pipeline would carry 450,000 barrels daily from north dakota production sites to a hub in illinois. The iowa utilities board is scheduled to begin hearings on the future pipeline on november 12th. The city of ames is under a boil water alert for the areas of town outlined on the map. The city tells us 157 homes and 100 commercial and Industrial Properties are affected. Ames residents in those areas are encouraged to use bottled water as a precaution. A South Carolina sheriffs deputy working for a school is banned from the High School Campus after video showed the deputy wrestling and dragging a disruptive student from her desk. Tony robinson never saw anything so nasty, other students had to turn away. Omar the 34yearold deputy joined the Richland CountySheriffs Office in 2004. In 2008, he was assigned to the district as a School Resource officer. Fields has also coached the Football Team since at least 2012. Leon lott is the Richland County sheriff. Leon lott it shocked me like it shocked everybody else. Omar lott says fields has been placed on administrative duties, pending the outcome of an investigation. Leon lott it wasnt something that he selfinitiated. He was asked to remove the student from the classroom. Did he do that properly . Thats what were gonna look at.
