On tuesday, residents got to vote on the four Million Dollar project. A 60 percent majority could have the city planning construction with the department of transportation or in another period of waiting until more residents are frustrated with the highway. The city, which supports the project, says the improvements would enhance center lane traffic and attractiveness, efficiency of the roads, and safety of pedestrians. Theres always confusion with people, pedestrians, trying to cross our highway and we feel we can make it safer, and thats what this project is really about. The enhancements that weve looked at have an led lighting system that flashes on the inside and the outside lanes. It also has some that its embedded in the roadway, so when somebody approaches and gets into that crosswalk somebody is in there city manager. Safety are its some residents think the expansion will serve other pulling revenue through their largest artery.
