Absolutely I could agree with you yeah and yeah I'm very excited are you on your schedule. I found the farmer leaching there for the miracles who will be performing funds frankly in the performing artist aren't Smokey Robinson songs like me believe me dear good luck. Cruisin you're going to be performing the songs here quite a few are well armed good I also have these young ladies that are actually from Redlands I don't call them stars rewind. That is Janet be so cool and do you want to bump that at the address yeah it's going to take place once again at the National we're still in New York backstretch you know. He lingered seating Yeah there's 240 seats we can get like 600 people in there it's going to take place at 93 you know so I don't have I mean you can see I'm going to do you know so if you know we're there. You would think that you would I mentioned late and it's in the back. There on the south and yeah and that's separate building standing by itself and if we made it the way it was built it reminds me of an airplane hangar Oh yeah you're absolutely right every part of that but another you're going in there yeah that that that's what does not look like that to you Kathy I haven't been over there any on spend a lot of those we did for each fares over there and a lot of the buildings were that kind of quantity you know yeah airplane hangar to accommodate large numbers of people yeah and that's what it reminds me out and one more time that phone number address and timing Ok yeah it's a national average show Backstreets you know 930 when you heard you know 9 to where you know. Right eat eat in peace be you dot com where you can give us a call at night online reward 9 retreat for your Yes And you know the best part about all of this it's free parking boys and girls. Prepared You know if you know anyone could play and so I don't 2 you know the community will come out there and support I think there's a positive working with the artists and bringing something like this to me our community because we have so much tragedy out here but it's time to bring something that people can enjoy in advance to in your sound fun there you are and commish Paul I call him compassion thank you so much for your time and we will see you on the weekend Ok we found a good bit thank you so much I mean me on your show yeah well. Good luck with your business up there too Ok honey thank the guy and he is one of the nicest people I ever met he has a heart bigger than Christmas yeah he does and talking about business now neck till we had that one little song that we were going to play for Kathy. To put to me to cut there you're just up to. Her thank. You said you like that like down there you go yeah yeah you got it yes Intel Can you about that if you just turn Daniela to let's go shopping with Bev right you know I case. 50 am station that leaves no listener behind we just got done talking to commish about the event coming up tomorrow at the yarn Joe that will be on my site tonight into Maura and now we are talking to Miss Kathy the one in only. She this woman is crazier than I am that I mean she is she's really cool and she is the star to up stuff animals and you get it costs away from us yes we are we're just halfway between Burlington Coat Factory in the Dollar Tree in the main strip at 1410 yes and duck at about 14. Let's start off with some of the animals when you decided to open up this shop Why did you decide to open it. We got caught up in the beanie baby craze in the late 1990 s. And we never did secondary business with that we opened as a kiosk in the Redlands mall and almost immediately we had a young man who came in workforce and his big deal was realistic animals he loved to go to the San Diego Zoo and we almost immediately expanded from there were a lot of beanbag style bears back there and different toys like that we moved away from that pretty quickly and started to set up habitats and our kind of intuitive mission has remained the same but kind of grown we want to honor nature we want to encourage an interest in that in kids grownups you know the concept of conservation so we try and get realistic animals we have South America desert Australia. North American Forest we have all these different habitats and you can go find animals that the zoo or aquarium or national park gift shops would have there we all to try and get specific dog breeds and we get realistic cats we have a few caricature things mixed in their big barnyard area and mainly to get attention we have decorative flags so that's what you'll see hanging in front of our big. Black Beauty I think yeah yeah and you want one of my favorite ones this one here yeah to fall into a couple of these companies are just outstanding they're 3 dimensional on both sides. Thank you Nic Yeah they've just they've added such. I don't know they're very textural but colors pop the materials are so much better people always talk about how you know easy it is to fade them not as much anymore they will fade in are brutal fun light and they will eventually over months shred but not nearly as badly as they used to and we try and go with the higher end companies that do you know a little better quality of. Material we do seasonal and we have every day of a course for how annoying ones are popular right now yeah and then as we move in we've got a we've just got tons of beautiful fall ones and the Christmas ones are sitting in boxes in the back and I will be out after Howie yes yes and I'll tell you when I walked into your shop I want holy Toledo Yeah I mean the quality you could see you can feel it. Was some places that sell you know the stuff Dmoz in the different flanks and you know 10 miles away you can see that forget about it. And then talking about these be art. Really quick before we show in the beers Let's talk about the little story how the beers popped into your shout are we talking about cadence Yes Ok Well we had been approached some years ago to make a donation of Humane Society Sam or you know Valley Humane Society and we did and happily Of course because we are in that you know animal from that's a good cause but one of the fundraisers sons Kaden Henderson had been in law Melanie university hospital over Christmas a couple years prior to that and he's fine his issues were taken care of but he realized while he was there that there are an awful lot of kids stuck there over the holidays and the very next year he did a teddy bear drive and we were invited to be a drop site for people to bring in donated beers and it's well hey we can do better than met Let's get you some beers that we can offer a special price you know if you're going to take it home give it your grandkids it's this price band that's going into cave ins box it's about $5.00 less and you're ever going to be able to find it so we were invited last year and we're doing it again this year and I you know I heard this story Kathy the other day when I was visiting and not affect it was yesterday. And to to visit with her and Stephanie guy and she told me about this young man and how he got the idea he said about getting teddy bears or some stuffed animal for all the other children and then you told me a little bit that he was involved with the angels he is his album his. What he wants to do with his life is to be a sportscaster Yes And I mean he since the time he was you know way pre-teen ager has been doing interviews and he's got Caden center on Facebook is his site and he does interviews he does I believe he also does some print commentary this kid is like 12. And the photograph the way you said you can see the intelligence on him very composed in front of a camera very organized he knows what kind of from a she wants to ask and the athletes have talked to him a been very you know cordial with him. You know he's not silly at all and you know he wants to do this for a living and I think you know yeah can we get more of him yes you think of a young adult. What would I call him a child and he's not he but he that they're in the middle he's right there now yeah and. The way he acts and so on you know I call many young adult he definitely you and I I was so impressed and if we could get more of our young the delts or our older children and doing stuff just frankly not what they want to do could you imagine what this world would be like Oh yeah and you know if those doors were opened just a little encouragement you know will help with that you know everybody's got different interests everybody's got different talents it may not be in front of a Mike it may be. You know. Writing stories it might be looking into information about something that interests you but you know do it yes do it if your kid and it interests you. Yes Do it please do it Ok And with that we'll take a small break and we'll be back don't change that channel. That you look at the tape that. Was sitting there was that it was but it was a quick hello to you a little bit early to you but what I thought I thought I don't want to be. Just. But back egg net cast a nother little funny song stashed away and his little chose a chest and he stand up put it out and H.-G.'s Brady Oh yeah every guy. Like you would. Cut. My consumption but I'm aware exam which were really easy other goals you know it's a quite a very very good cause so when you go somewhere and you put just one of these animals stuffed bears doing it tangs whatever they want right that money goes to well a lot of our vendors do support conservation causes in particular Wild Republic the owner I believe is East Indian and I know he has $2.00 or 3 different wildlife sanctuaries that are supported by his companies you know funding and they're there pieces show up in zoos. Find him a living desert out you know Palm Desert. It doesn't matter if you buy him from them for me whoever if you're buying a wild Republican product and most of my other vendors you know a portion of that money is going to go to help with conservation or preservation or education. You can your kids can check out wild Republic dot com There's all that information and a lot of interactive stuff on that particular site that's just one that comes to the top of my mind but our whole deal is to honor nature and that's why we love to have as realistic and a strange of an animal's as we can find yet and we have a range of things this is a wild Republic piece and we're just blown away by I mean giant and. From South America and were blown away by the detail how wonderful the textures are and how close or realistic it is you know this is an under $20.00 item we have another company that does sculpture Ham photo ops is Cookie Monster here you keep him. Handsome does beautiful beautiful pieces and the price reflects you know the difference in quality This is a marmot which is basically a Western ground squirrel or Ground Hog I mean who does that kind of detail on a high altitude go for. You know talk and seeing all of these I'll tell you folks take the time I get on you try cicle you bicycle you car you know whatever you have and popped into her shot I when I went through that front door and this happen only 3 times to me in my life people and you have that reaction and I just stood there and I and I walk you're kidding me and there's a lot there's a lot there and you almost you really do have to cost option go. And you will be they'll be jellyfish they'll be hammerhead sharks they'll be squid they'll be and that's just in the ocean habitat we have in Australia habitat we have wombats and bilbies and all of these interesting things we want to make people aware that they exist and my favorite stories I had a 4 year old young lady come in and asked me if I had any bats Well this particular company makes a very realistic about that hangs and I you know got it down and she looked and she was blown away and she wanted a 4 year old young lady proceeds to give me a lecture on echolocation by bats and I'm like yes this is what we're here for you know 14 year old can even do it now and 40 Yeah and you know the thing that breaks my heart is if a parent has the misconception that somebody who is over 3 is too old for stuffed animals I don't even think of them stuffed animals the not toys they're. They're enlightening they're comforting there's so many dimensions. At some stage in young person's life it transitions from comfort and hugging to appreciation of color and texture and design and also what the animal does in nature Yes and you can find if you got it in front of you knew Go look up something about it encourages you to look up something about the kids have access to all this information now and having it there reminds them yeah and reinforces and like you and I when we were talking yesterday and a couple of days between when that that with some of our toddlers and very young children 234 and feel like they don't need a stuffed animal or they don't need their blanky any large And you know do not take it away from their child you know experts and doctors have studied this and even you are talking about let the child or that young Adele have that stuffed animal or that play whatever as long as he or she needs it because that is putting and the conflict and you know any help so yeah there's no room no reason to kill compassion in the soul and something that just softens the heart a little. We don't see that a lot in video games. And some of the video games I look here is like. What happened to their brain you know and real quick with your address and phone number and Alex please get the yes we will we are at 1410. That's Industrial Park Avenue but we're basically in the middle of the tri city center main strip we're open 7 days Monday through. Monday through Friday except Thursday. Attendant fix Thursdays where we shift our hours a little we're $2.00 to $7.00 on Thursdays and on Sunday we're $11.00 to $5.00 and it's 909-798-9313 star 2 of stuff is dot com is our website and we have a Facebook page and we throw up you know what we got new what we're promoting all that stuff on those pages all the time yeah I know it's so cool and the other thing about you stuffed animals is when I 1st walked into the shop I noticed the quality yes that quality is the. Manufacturer sec aim up with the idea fit for this particular animal and. The way it's going in this now let's talk about the ice because I know a lot of people and even me being a nana I. Kinda child pulled the ice out and you know there's also about that from and there's. Everybody is concerned about the eyes because it's considered a choking hazard perhaps interesting we I've seen different companies label the safety differently for different toys and some things are burthen up one company somebody else's 3 and up and they're like all concerned. I remember when I was growing up my brother had. They were rabbit for stuff kittens and they used you know plastic hemispheres with half inch stake pins really those were attached that way and they were glued in yes you could hurt yourself on those these guys are locked worship in its industry safety I mean they're labeled for safety is if we were talking street urchins with no supervision. That's obviously not the case you're supposed to watch over puppies with chew toys most of these things if it ever bows an issue take it off you know but most of them are like so far safe it's just not even it's not even issue and they're just amazing the materials have gotten so much better they're soft the stuffing is resilient where she you just you know you touch them and you're like I don't think you don't have to go all the Jewish up and address of your shop 1410 Industrial Park Avenue in the middle of the tri city center and outwards hours are. $10.00 to $6.00 every day except those day which is $27.00 am Sunday which is a level 5 there you go and I'm going to tell you oh you don't to be so happy and you could buy a stuffed animal anywhere right you could but if you will. One of the kind the quality is impeccable you can even find the correct words to say how well these tomato right and all of this go to start to look stuffy where in the Tri-City center we just got our sign up today it says stuffed animals and we have Daugherty flags 3 of them in a row hang in below it there you can I doubt that's so cool and talking about stuffed animals. I think it is neck it is we got common rules on long oh good and do we add that song for ha. Ok are you doing karma and. This is this thing animals. Then say it's a you and carry about the animals carry this is Carmen Carmen this is. Are you. Yes and now talking about in m m m m balls we're talking 4 legged animals this time Ok I how's it going over there and now since we are getting into the fall in the winter what are they do don't see the mommy to Daddy she do with their animals what are the. Parents do with their animals yes. Well with it being the holiday season oh my goodness let's start the list are you ready well. Ok so I'm going to start with how we get how doing is here are you say. Don't be rappers in the candy out they can't wait to get to it because it's so pretty and so exciting and it's no delicious and it is so bad for them. So Candy is off the list chocolate is completely off the list for dog no chocolate Ok that means more chocolate for us and that means more talk of a. Weekend I needed that doesn't mean it isn't out of reach you should you know that they can get through these things and you know they find them pretty exciting and need to look at because some of the drivers are fun and shiny and make noises and so the things also get swallowed and then called Spock itches you know when we see some of our past unfortunately some of them have to have procedures to get all this stuff out of their little belly all of that is so sad it's true it happened. Well you know that sounds like my sister's cooking so yes you know if we keep the animals away from her tour everybody should be happy to hear me. And so and then for how doing for costumes that we love to see our pets been caused in I mean who doesn't is so adorable but you know you really do have to have it supervised like don't put them in there cost him and not a pension and be around them because sometimes they can choke themselves sometimes they can eat some of that and again it gets stuck in their stomach and. Major issues can arise but you know if you're putting on a costume to take some pictures and you're supervising that that's fine but if you can have them running around and so forth you absolutely want to be able to make sure that they're breathing that they're not restricted that they can go to the bathroom. Most of your appeared to help the me about. Crap I don't anything think happened constant can actually be dangerous Yes Not if it were were not of her watching it Ok Carmen hang on if you just get your a list let's go shopping with bad. 50 and the stationary. And we had the one in lonely Miss Carmen. The best that Mary and I have ever known she's been taking care of my animal molds for seems like forever back and yet we had met the one in only boy yeah this guy or yeah he loves football. Yeah I do well football I so I'm wearing my my broncos gear right now as we speak there but. Yeah Broncos Oh yeah Bronco fan I want my husband. But mostly my favorite team is the Green Bay Packers they bend for ever and ever and ever we gardeners how low they get on the scale I still love them guys you know what I mean I don't agree I've got no beef with the with the Packers so that's cool that's cool and then on my other side we had the one and only Miss Terry Kathy Kathy Terry Caffey get the kids. We've been joking around like this all all week long I think it's a well you know must be you know get one climb and save us. This Cathy and you are from start to up stuff these. Climbing you gotta take a ride about down here and seriously my dear you gotta go in her shop you like I know where you were to I Want me about this Ok I do need to make a trip yes you know but give us a little are virtually her well you would probably love. The cats and dogs I am mush brained about dogs completely and we go looking for specific breeds we have very few generic cutesy dogs because they're all over but if you want to German Shepherd I even managed to find 3 styles of pit bulls which you cannot get from American companies we go to Australia to get realistic not mean looking pit bulls we have an assortment of cats and then we just kind of shift to Australia Africa Asia ocean. Now that's pretty cool you talking about the dog all the time we've been talking why nobody said anything about a sheep dogs I have had sheep dogs I believe there are maybe one or 2 styles available we have not done our annual Douglas Christmas so those are hopefully will be getting dogs November December and some new breeds were a little fin right now because we didn't order for a few months knowing we were going to move you know move it but we are ordering now because I you know that was my daughter dog. And I home long enough to take your a she got. A fish let you know and thank God that which is taking care of a cat exactly where the cats are taking. A buffet buck and if I ever do get another sheep dog its that it be a stuffed linage going to be Woodstock 2 and there you go perfect I lay on the bed right yeah clément talking back to you my dear now you have been that Marian for a number of years we have been friends for thousands a years now with the costumes. If the animal is didn't have one I'd make sure you take it off make sure you check no chalk. Wrappers and everything out now if one has a bird as a pet a lot of people have birds for pets right as there is something that they. Own as you do something different for that bird during this holiday well for the birds the most important thing would be temperature Ok temperature can think it's really cool . And those temperatures depending on the that the type of bird it can be very drastic for them. You know some of these are tropical birds think require heated not so much heat but you can't survive below 13 degrees you know keeping them warm keeping them in that room temperature that they've been accustomed to the whole time and not allowing it to change and the other thing I wanted to ask you the way some of the houses condos are trailers who t.p.s. You know what every a living and and how the sun moves you know during the day and in the evening should they take the bird in the cage to a different location where that bird or birds are getting more sun later in the day you know like I question thank you and as people you know when people become part owner like over a really really important thing you know actually he rises in the summer you know winter can definitely change the temperature you know you have to get to know your bird and when you know that your bird comfortable either but the temperature you have to keep those surroundings that way than if you suddenly have this big window with the sun just beaming in there but it doesn't change the temperature much more than that's Ok but it could be aiming and there and it's making the temperature rise a lot higher that can make them very uncomfortable very depressed that would not be a good idea Ok Ok she like my question good question. You know and then also now during this salad a you know because people are commenting going in all the different noises and so on if the owner of whatever you know will they have Should it be good to come and clean him into you and have him or her checked out before he starts getting you know so busy and people come in and going in the traffic and everything well you know we always think it's a good idea that there. Have a basic checkup annually just like when one if they've had one already know there's no need to come in unless there are some issues going on but if you haven't had a general checkup for your pet I would highly encourage you to just to get a baseline of how their health is because things with our health issues with pets can decline pretty quickly catch it fast enough it doesn't become such a challenge in getting them to recover well and it's a lot less. Costly So the annual exams Yes they've already had one you don't need to keep having them you just have them once a year unless something else but you want their teeth checked because that's also a very big deal for them and their health all pull together. The spin cycle looks at their organs and looks at their skin for tumors I'm. One of the reviewers and I remember saying well you know these are the way you you can to had these unfortunate diseases that are hurting not just pets but humans too you know things like abt cancer. And pets so I would just encourage that if you have a pet and they haven't seen a doctor in a while if God had a physical like a physical and if they've already had one of them just do it in you know really that's a good good thing to know and one other crazy question when through my mind when we have our dogs are weighing a kings you know droughts whatever we have and we take them out for a walk like in the morning or in the evening and to temperature does drop you know suppose she saw us because of the Elevation I mean a lichen minute should the owner of that animal put like a little jacket you know they had jackets that fitted dogs and some little booties is something because when he or she is walking in that pavement gets so cold it could probably affect their feet couldn't and. That's another good question thank you because we do you know people wear them different weather zones were kind of a little more room in some areas than are the. In other areas you know. In the summertime the concrete the asphalt can get so hot and burning their feet we're constantly working on repairing beats from hot. Scolding concrete and now. Well the interesting thing about winter is yeah they're pretty strong resilient to it that they are very capable of having issues as well in you know some of these areas like if you look in the Yucaipa hills of San Bernardino Hills you've got snow so snow will really freeze up and cause some issues on their little path so now they sell all kinds of cute little booties. Yeah we do I said you know I'm just some of ours that. It's a real thing to do because then you'll have some dogs that are rye in this type of . And this type of weather yeah you know so you have to know your parade but once you know your breed and what the normal temperatures are for them then you can pretty much. You should have a jacket and booties and things like that on them I remember many many many moons ago and we used to go up in Canada and my 2 cousins pm and Stevie and they had. All the white dogs What do you call them my mind just don't like on the name if I think about it in a minute it's big like dogs. House case thank you yes I knew it come to me and they didn't have any booty on their feet but you know they had the jacket on them because up there it gets so cold that that snow soon as it hits within seconds turns into ice and so what they did is they got to bargain they took it apart shrunk it down and sit on that block and they would run with them up and that's when that's how they got to you know up the er and just hit the ski areas and everything so if you live around there and you want to know how to move your dog get a plow to do it apart put it back together again put your dog on it. And it works it works you know it's a lot of fun and Miss climate which you please but all of you know lovely contact information thank you so much.
