We have never done any of these spots before these are all brand new so if somebody has done the pub crawl before because this is our 7th annual we're going to a whole new place says I'm really looking forward to it because I get to hear a lot of new history that I've never gotten here before we've got speakers at each each place over it is we've got sin Sandra corner and George Sibley the 2 of them had both run newspapers at certain periods out of that building so they've got their own stories to share and I mean they were run in these newspapers when I cursed to be it was still a very much wild west town so they got some really interesting stories and they were very near and dear to a lot of the old timers hearts that were here so they. You know it's always fun chatting with those guys and reading any stories or any books that they publish and I just I can't wait to hear their history and so they're where again there it is ease and Izzy's used to be where they were in the paper out of his books are saying yeah curse you Pilar and out of there it was also the 1st office of the ski area course to be limited so that was where Fred Rice and Dick f.l.n. Were 1st located in that building and nowadays you know it kind of set off back from all Cavaney Oh but it used to be located where the brick oven is today right there next to the grubstake So it's moved around it's got a long history it was a barber shop at one point you know it seen a lot of things go through there was a sign shop and now it's you know Izzy's which is a great great bagel place so I guess and so you get to see. George Sibley and Sandy corner are going to be talking there about their time on the pilot That's awesome you know not just their time but. You know a lot of course of your history those guys have a lot of roots here so it's going to be more than just their newspapers great right and then what else we got after that we've got the art isn't right gallery again a really fabulous. Building and what we have Dr to and then and Bush and Barbara Mason speaking there which is going to be a dynamic duo really fun funny here. Of course Dre knows so much about everything and Barbara actually used to run the senior center that was ran out of that building so she's got her own personal history there but that building in particular you know I really like that story used to be a fraternal Union. So it has a lot of history about immigration and in creating communities through 3 places and this building I want to say it's an eighty's building but I also have to go on this tour in order to make sure that I get my dates right that's what's important do right it kind of sets a straight on a lot of things that you thought you may already know and like I had no idea that the pilot was out of business. And then 3rd location over bones who's going to be there we have a new guest a new speaker Brian Levin he is a local. He's just really interested in history and he's published a couple times in the newspaper as well as our local about local history including Gunnison history you know he's really self-taught so I'm interested to see what he brings to the table it's going to be different and something that none of us have ever heard before perfect and again another really cool building it was a power house originally and a lot of us know it as the power house and it's reference to that but it was literally actually the power house they used have a water wheel that's why it's located right there on Coal Creek and the water real you know again I have to check my dates but I want to say it produce electricity into it through the forty's so it's only recently not been our source of electricity wow that's crazy Ok So 3 locations were they again we've got bones the artisan regularly and Izzy's and this will be Thursday at 30. Day It starts at $430.00 at the course to be a man Heritage Museum Ok you'll come in and you'll check in and you'll receive a commemorative glass which is really nice and you know I have a glass from every year which I'm really excited about but basically it's a pint glass that you'll take with you to each of these locations and the 1st drink is free and the everywhere will be serving beer or wine bones my it's are a margarita like they like to do but I'm not going to hold them to that and. Yet 1st drink is free and then every location at every location Yeah sear guaranteed at least 3 drinks and we also when you come in and you check you get your commemorative class. There's also food available we have a lot of appetizers coming from various businesses around town as well as you know our friends in our supporters cooking up some good stuff that's awesome All right so. Where could we get tickets again you can swing by the museum at 331 elk Avenue you'll see that our buildings getting some work these days so you can really miss us where we're just starting our rehabilitation project you can also call us at 349880 or you can even buy tickets on line across to the museum dot com Again there's only $75.00 spots available it's $45.00 which is pretty one of our cheaper events which is really great.
