San francisco assemblyman introduced the legislation calling for statewide recommendations. Basically what its saying is, is were not going to usurp any communities local laws about it. But wed like to provide direction for how to alleviate homelessness. Reporter that means a uniform plan in every California City of where the homeless can get health care. Benefits, find a clean bathroom or place to stay. He wants the goal to be to help the homeless rather than criminalize them. I think theres been a trend to criminalize a person if theyre homeless. They give us citations just for sleeping you know. We should be allowed to sleep. Reporter the bill is still being formed but he says it would include free legal representation. A controversial part that would allow protection for certain activities on public property like sleeping, panhandling and urinating has since been taken out. He says the homeless bill of rights is about freedom from discrimination. This is an issue thats not going to go away and its rather overdue that were have not taken this on at a state level. Reporter in 2004, the same pipeline exploded killing five people and injuring four others in walnut creek. It had been punctured by a backhoe. The county is worried that having the construction creates an elevated risk. The company that owns the pipeline Kinder Morgan has been inspecting the line in alamo. We are going to continue to make sure because its a safety concern that those types of items are removed. Here we are right in the heart of alamo. Another multiple murder case in a Colorado City already coping with a massacre at a movie theater. Police in aurora say four people including the suspected gunman are dead following an Early Morning standoff. The three victims were apparently killed before police arrived. A fifth person reportedly the gunmans wife was able to escape the house and call 911. Neighbors describe a chaotic scene as police tried getting the gunman to surrender. Weve got the building surrounded. Please come out with your hands up. I heard three gunshots. There was multiple multiple like explosions. Tear gas was introduced in an effort to push him out. The gunman was shot and killed by police after hours of negotiations failed. Neighbors say the victims were related. Its an effort to reclaim the islamic word jihad. The word is known for its negative connotations. The move to help minimize anti muslim sentiment. , well, well, well.
