Make no mistake America's great You're a great American Again this is the Buck Sexton show giving former CIA analyst for a member of an ally the sex to the tactic. I know we talk so much today about how people interact when they're young and dating and oh. Gosh this conversations about gang rape and sexual assault and drinking too much and and all the rest of it and this did catch my eye though it was a link on the on the Drudge Report. And here's what it says that boys are more likely to be the victims of teen dating violence than girls Herath says researchers with the British or the University of British Columbia and Simon Fraser University conducted a longer Toodle study of dating violence while reports of physical abuse went down over time they say there is a troubling gender related trend 5 percent of teens reported physical abuse from their dating partners and 2013 down from 6 percent in 2003 but in the last year 5.8 percent of boys reported dating violence compared to 4.2 percent of girls. It could still be that it's socially accepted for girls to hit more slot boys in dating relationships says lead author Catherine Schaefer was a Ph d. Student in s.f. You this has been found in studies of adolescence in other countries as well researchers looked at data collected from 3 British Columbia adolescent health surveys surveys conducted over a 10 year time span there were 35000 students in grades 7 through 12 in dating relationships this is the 1st North American study to compare statistics for boys and girls in the 1st Canadian study to consider dating teen violence over the course of a decade. Now my friends I've I've lived a long enough life and especially as a as a single and unmarried men that I have both. Been on a whole lot of dates and have many many many friends that have gone on a bit or you know either been on dates or been dating somebody and I tell you I don't find this surprising at all in fact I can think off the top of my head of having to tell at least 2 women in the past do not ever hits me again not because I had done anything aggressive or anything that would require them to strike me but because in one case that I remember it was somebody I barely knew I actually just met and she slapped me across the face I didn't say anything outrageous by the way I just didn't laugh I just didn't like one of her jokes and another one was actually somebody I had been dating who didn't you know who didn't like a comment I made and actually kind of hit me in the back of the head and I would just tell you that. Look at neither one of them were there were not a physical threat to me that I could overpower me I was probably twice the size of both of the women in question but the point is. You know that there's there's this whole other component as well of all right so since we're really going to pull back the pull back the curtain here and if we're going to have this conversation about what I buy we're really have a conversation about teen sexual behavior in the eighty's which is a lot over 30 years ago before or right when I was born that's what we've been talking about this week but if we're going to have a conversation about teen sexual behavior today I mean I would just say that the more I know about life and what makes people happy and what the proper way is for men and women to comport themselves you know the more I think that there also needs to be a whole discussion about the social pressure on women to be aggressive the way that men are in relationships and I think this is a very real phenomenon and I you know I sit here and I would say to you you guys know more about marriage than I do because I've never been married but I know a lot about dating and I know a lot about what it's what it's like out there and you know women are. You know certain women in their twenty's and thirty's are often actually very they can be very forward and and they feel like there's a competitive edge to being sexually aggressive in the dating pool I mean in ways that I think are bad for men and for women and in fact it's true that if you're out there on the date and some of you guys are going to laugh at this but I'm just I'm just telling you it's true if you're out there on the dating scene and with some women if you want to get to know them a little better before actually having more of a physical relationship they view that as an insult. You know what why would you not what I mean because that's how much that and over some you have in the dating pool a long time like Buddy I'm telling you this this this is real this exists out there and also there women are very encouraging time a young woman now women in the twenty's or thirty's are very encouraged to act like men in their in their private lives in their sex lives to view themselves as you know not having to take any any additional precautions about their drinking I mean this is true in college drink just like the guys do well your body weight is the primary determining factor of how many breed you get but you know they want telling women in college this stuff never would discuss how girls can handle it alcohol than men in fact they think that that is sexist to discuss you know to say that a woman is not even as good as men at processing alcohol is somehow an insult to the radical feminist because everything and anything where you say men and women and different are different is taken as an insult by the by the feminist laugh but I just think about you know if I had Hopefully I'll be married and have children relatively soon I think my parents are probably listen to this a promise it's going to happen soon. But if I had a daughter I mean I would work so hard to try to convince her. To you know wait is wait as long as you can and stay away from alcohol Now look it's a woman's choice to do what she chooses to do with her private life and you know I've never been a dad so I don't even know what I'm talking about but I just see how the choices that young people make stay with them for longer and far later in life and this is another the you know women have a harder time young women talking about now a harder time processing alcohol also the look the responsibility and risk that women take especially with you know having a physical relationship let's say around the college age they're the ones that will will bear the most imminent end and see. Yes consequence of that was the possible pregnancy and so I just I just think that there's not nearly enough of a real discussion going on about that and then on top of it the aggression that I see among some women who are pursuing careers to be just like men and want to be you know treated the same as their peers and then also there can be this hitting I've seen female friends of mine really go after not female friends of mine rather female. Significant Others go after Friends of mine physically I mean really take us take a swing at them I saw a girl with high heels try to kick a guy I knew right in the place where you really don't want to get kicked and he just kind of managed to shimmy out of the way but I mean she threw a wicked kick with you know as you can imagine heels on I I've seen some stuff like that happen and you know Assault is assault folks you know I'm talking about not sexual assault but physical assault and I think that there's a very negative trend in the dating culture right now where we think of traditional gentility and male and female relationships is outdated it's treated as kind of quaint that men are in this role of honorable protector and women are to be cherished and appreciate that oh no no it's they're the same their biology doesn't make any difference that they're supposed to be the same at this radical kind of a radical sexual egalitarian ism or you know radical equality I don't however you'd want to describe it and I don't think it's good for either side but I just this study really caught my eye I was not surprised to see that it's more likely now that if you're a teenager and you're dating that the woman is going to hit the guy the guy's going to the woman There's also the one thing about every single guy that I've ever known I've been friends with if we all feel like. It was just seared into our brains you never lay a hand on a woman you never strike a woman. And any guy who does so becomes less than a man and I've you know that's a good that's a that's that's good cultural training you know there are these things that I really support and think or are worthwhile in but we need more of that and a whole host of things and one of them is nobody ever hits anybody you don't get physical with people you don't strike people unless it's in self-defense. I got more firm of actions say with our talks 1st traffic mornings and afternoon sun power Talk 967 and d.m. 1400. So. Why though you'll want board to be. Us investigating Yeah go. Over a complaint of bias against Asian American applicants let me just let me just give you the punchline right away here folks Oh yes the left wing edifice of affirmative action is beginning to crumble and it's because they discriminate against Asians you know I had a before I get in my personal experience with these kinds of things here's the story this is near times the Trump Administration is investigating whether Yale University illegally discriminated against Asian American applicants the justice and education departments have begun a civil rights investigation into whether Yele discriminated against Asian Americans by treating applicants differently based on race during the admissions process according to a letter from the education apartment's Office for Civil Rights sent to the student who filed a complaint against Yale just a farm is also investigating hall Hodes use of race in its admissions policies and last month that publicly backed students who accuse Harvard in a lawsuit of systematically discriminating against them by suppressing the number of Asian Americans who attend. They could have far reaching consequences for college admission policies and for affirmative action a tool born in the civil rights era to make American education opportunities more equitable Yes Also known as now a racial spoils system as per the comments of Justice Scalia when they looked at this issue. The left eventually collapses into incoherence on any issue whether it's the redistribution of wealth or gender by naira t. That's a word but being gender by nary an e of these things the left eventually collapses into incoherence because they change what they stand for and what they want based upon emotion and a desire for power not on any fundamental underlying principles right they are not really tethered to anything other than a loss for power and a desire to oppose certain things and I mean that all the way down to the basis of the state they they oppose the notion of the individual as the single and singular entity of any state it's all about the individual everything else runs into a lot of trouble you don't treat people like groups you don't have collective guilt you don't have collective punishment you don't have collective. Identity it's all about the individual and the left has created this whole sloganeer to nonsensical idea of this diversity diversity is our strength diversity is the strength what does it mean what kind of diversity is it even true the Imperial data that we have on this for example shows that in some cases diversity is in terms of academic outcomes not in fact a strength let me tell you what I mean the University of California system eliminated race in admissions preferences. About trying to think about 15 or 20 years ago did that mean that there were no more minorities going to the cow school system no of course not. Did it mean that there was something of a of a drop in black and Latino students at the absolute top of the cal system schools like Berkeley with the other brand with the other top one that's. Berkeley and u.c.l.a. And also I think. Is a it's no Cal Tech is private right forget but Berkeley and u.c.l.a. For sure there was a slight drop maybe they went from you know 10 percent let you know and 5 percent black 2 you know 8 percent Latino and 3 percent black something like that and that was so at the very elite Ashlan of a school that's taking 15 percent 10 percent of all the applicants maybe less than that. There was something of a shift but also the graduation rates of Latino and black students from other California schools so within the same system just not quite as as difficult in terms of it's really based a lot of it on test scores to get into went up so what the data told us there is that when you have people that are going to schools that are more in line now people kids are all that's how he says a terrible thing I'm sorry it is everybody who goes to u.s.c. You know not smart of course not they're brilliant people u.s.c. It's just a question of how elite I mean now you're really slicing the onion very thin is it better to go to a California state school and graduate. You know at the in the top 3rd of your class or to fail out of Berkeley so that was the shift that occurred when they got rid of race as a factor in admissions and as we know race is a factor admissions also is a at at in the best case scenario. It's something that results in just plainly unfair outcomes and I went to Amherst College and I had a few friends who were who were black and fact a couple of were Jamaican and they were from very well off families and went to elite prep schools and they had such an interesting take on race and all this in America because they were always treated as though you know they would be brought to these diversity hiring events and all the rest of it and they I think one of them was the the dad was a professor of the other one the dad was like a minister of you know probably finance or something for Jamaica I mean I don't know but. These are people went to $50000.00 all your private schools and for high school that's right $50000.00 a year and they were considered under pressure they were treated as though they're underprivileged minorities because of their skin color and their ethnicity I mean and their nationality you know I was going colors of the city so that's not really the outcome you're looking for Meanwhile I knew people who are 5 who fell into one of the cracks particularly if you're a you know South Asian student or East Asian we know is over represented so Korean Chinese Japanese over represented in the elite schools but South Asians are also very well represented in schools and they don't get any affirmative action and what's the justification for this you know what what is the what is the answer the left gives you in the The answer is they lie we've seen a lot of that recently haven't we Unless the answer is they lie about this they tell us that you know maybe this is an unfair policy in certain instances but it's it's necessary for the overall goal of promoting diversity you know it may be it's unjust in some cases in some instances but there's something there's something to this there's something to be done with this and we can't just ignore it and. And pretend that there's not all these great benefits to one of the benefits exactly out of the benefits or diversity or strength. Hold on are you discriminating against Asians or not the answer is they are Asians minorities Yes they are so you're discriminating against Asians and not dealing with the fact that Asians are overrepresented in these schools is because they have white privilege why are Asians over represented at Harvard and Yale and mit why the left doesn't want to doesn't want to even look at that is it because of traditional family structure in Asia transported to America and then through generations of you know Asian Americans or people born in this country but 2 Asian or you know parents or grandparents who are Asian that family structure remains intact and there's a lot of discussion that could be had here left as they want to have a discussion they just want to tell everybody that America is racist and the only way to deal with that racism is to put people into different places and it's really it is always a form of tokenism right to put people into the elite levels of these schools when in many cases that is not where their academic merit would would land them and just just keep push and then it goes through into professional levels too and then it goes through into grad school and hiring and no no you cannot undermine the meritocracy and then say that you're promoting a meritocracy that's what the left is doing. And I hope that the Trump administration finally brings this entire. Delusion his whole myth about the need for diversity as they see it to a whole. He's back with you now because when it comes to the fight for truth so far never stops. It's time for Roll Call team it has been a tough day that much is for sure. I don't see it improving all that much more except I guess in its way moving on is going to allow us to be in a different place although as a country I don't know if we'll be in that much of a better one I can't lie to you I'm. I am I'm deeply concerned this isn't about political party this is about basic justice and fairness and decency and what kind of country we want to be and who we elevate and who we punish and what we have seen with Cavanaugh is a man who is the subject of the most disgusting and disgraceful character and assassination and really just human being or blit aeration I've ever seen so I'm going to a couple roll calls tonight because I just want to get a lot of your thoughts and I know you were watching this this hearing too and. Man . It's tough it's tough to be an optimist about things right now I'll be I'll be honest with you but let's get to it Facebook dot com slash Buck Sexton with your thoughts and that's how we do it. William writes I like the look of snippy but they don't seem to have an Android app maybe you can pass along those of us who have yet to sell our souls to Apple would like an app to William I will I will tell them I'm in contact with the company and I will certainly pass along that would be nice if we could get an Android app for folks to Keith writes Cavanaugh hit it out of the park with his opening statement I didn't think it possible but I have an even higher opinion of him now. Excuse me. Yeah I'm sorry. I agree I just I was thinking about what he said about his 10 year old daughter again. And you want to pray for Ford who after today as I've said I think she is confused and very sad not I'm not actually sold that she is. Actively evil I think people are using her for evil I think she may be somebody who needs help that would that's my that's my assessment after what I saw today. Keith says I don't think it possible so now I'm also optimistic about his appointment for the 1st time in 2 weeks I wish him the best regardless Keith Keith I totally agree completely and totally agree and I think the Kavanaugh inspired us to be under those circumstances in front of his wife and for the entire country millions and millions of people watching he's been accused of these terrible things and we know you and I know he's not he's not guilty of them he did not do these things there's no evidence that he did these things and it would be completely out of character for him to do them and also be almost impossible for these things to happen and there would be no evidence or outcry at the time. I just don't buy it never have. Randy writes Cavanaugh is on fire I hope the Republican senators give him a standing ovation when he's through with his opening statement Randi I think the Republican senators have been very ineffective in a whole bunch of ways so far in this whole process I agree with you that he's on Father Kavanagh is on fire I just wish that the Republicans in the Senate had a little bit of a better idea of just what the heck they are doing. Erick writes. A few things here she may have proved that she was attacked or at least on he's wrong about the polygraph book I'd suggest taking a look at the written statement that a polygraph was administered against blazin Ford statement that was used in her poly didn't name Kavanagh's the person who attacked her she wrote Brett Kavanaugh and but crossed it out and then wrote 2 boys so the only thing her polygraph tells us is that 2 boys pushed her into a room but she couldn't say without deception or all she would have left Kavanagh that Kavanaugh was her attacker she would have produced a deceptive result or was at least concerned about it she may have prove that she was attacked or at least not indicated deception but the polygraph didn't assess whether she was being truthful as as to who attacked her that coupled with the 2 males who have come forward bring this entire accusation into doubt for me the hearings didn't assess her honesty one way or the other she obviously isn't afraid of flying flying she just doesn't like to fly places that wouldn't be related to a vacation with her Santa Cruz Beach leftist friends the detail a small bit of stablish is the baseline the polygraph doesn't implicate Kavanaugh the 1st hand sources for her story have refuted the allegations in line with what Kavanagh has stated. Jason writes about finance here would love to hear you importers thoughts on this I remember old boss Glenn back talking about the dangers of re hypothecation poor is more. An actual expert than Glenn so maybe he can tell me if my bad feeling about mixing that with crypto is warranted Jason I I don't know anything about this to be honest with you so I can pass along the poor I'm basically spending next week with with Porter and Country Club guy in the whole gang out in Los Vegas for the stand Barry Vegas conference. Ryan writes this 4th hearing is really making me angry I believe Cavanaugh is innocent so what is he to make of foreign Coons and Blumenthal as they work to destroy him in this way we're told by the left that hate is some loser calling a guy a homo sexual slur or some father saying he wants to change his son from being gay No hate is approaching someone and telling that person in a calm serious voice stay away from me if I see you again I will kill you and then walking away with fists clenched that's hate it's when you dislike a person enough to sacrifice a part of yourself if I knew I had ever treated women in any objection way and then was slandered Arnon or I'd never treated women any objection away and then I was slandered on an industrial national scale exceeding the length of calling me a rapist and sending my loved ones death threats but moreover ruining my life and reputation for mere politics there would be a part of me I would have to suppress I would succeed but the hate would certainly be there see that a part of me feels it whenever I hear the smug Democrats speak about Kavanaugh Ford has no evidence or collaboration to support her claims and it's conveniently crafted her story so that none will be found this woman is I won't read it I am entitled to this opinion Ryan you absolutely are and you know he said this woman is scum that was what he said so it wasn't a curse on me to read his words and you are entitled to this opinion and I do believe that she is wrong and I believe she's destroying an innocent man and she will carry that on her soul forever whether she is fully aware of that destruction or not. It's tough to tell. Marie writes buck I'm watching the sham of a hearing here and as a mental health professional Something is very evident to me listening to her sing song childish voice this woman has regressed back to the age of her original trauma and maybe our age for we will most likely never know what that is but constantly I don't know I don't understand I don't understand how a polygraph works yet a doctorate in psychology I don't know what that word means she is very sick and totally being used by the Democratic Party Maria I do think that her constant refrain of I don't know what that is or what this thing is or that is was strange and for somebody who was talking about the Nora Ephron and nor epinephrine and f. And f. Are in it surprising and how that is necessary for memory function surprising that she has so many enormous holes in the memory necessary to tell us the full story here. And Marie attention here from a mental health professional on this so thank you very much for writing in about it . Thomas writes buck you will probably think of me as a conspiracy nut for saying this but I don't believe there are coincidences in politics I think what we are witnessing here with this ongoing Christine for testimony is only part of a coordinated attack anyone who has seen or heard Judge Kavanaugh and is familiar with his story until now would probably describe him as having the personality of a priest or pastor that would probably be a common term used to describe him except with the current state of affairs within the Vatican and the trials going on for pedophiles would only further serve as incriminating against him I don't think it's coincidence that the scandal over the pedophile priests just happened in conjunction with Kavanagh's nomination in that context I think both Christine Ford and cabin are being used as pawns and a much larger battle for power Ok now you can laugh and call me crazy Well Thomas America call you crazy but I can't say that I see any connection between those events but I do appreciate that you're trying to think way way outside the box or let me go into a quick break and I'll come back with more roll call in just a moment our talk mornings with Glenn that it is time to unite and it's time to be for some things that we know to be true and stand up together and make positive change our. More of your thoughts on the day's events because it is one of those days when I really really do need to hear from all of you I find myself incredibly disheartened by this whole situation in many ways although. We'll see if capital gets through it will it will be a sunny day in America that I can tell you are our buddy Darby writes watching the hearing for Judge Kavanaugh today and wanted to say the process that this good and decent man and his family has been put through is absolutely shameful as Americans we should all be completely horrified by what is happening here in your opening day you clearly express your anger about the circus this has become I share your anger my friend if this is allowed to continue in this good man fails to be nominated then I believe we have lost our way as a country as a veteran as an American that makes me incredibly sad keep up the good work as always brother and now more than ever we all need to keep our shields high Well isn't that isn't that true. And I and my brother Darby I agree with you on on all counts on all things you had to say there so. It's it's a dark day for the country really is it is a a dark day for this country when someone like Brett Kavanaugh with such a distinguished career and if people keep trying to talk about how all well with others you know the dam breaks than all the all the other revelations come through these revelations of when he was 1617 years old who the dam break what about the other 40 years of his life the dam breaks it's a damn lie is what that is. Maria writes is that friggin Alyssa Milano behind Kavanagh Why is she there representing what what a circus she's there as a me too or to add credibility Maria that is absolutely correct yes it was Alyssa Milano she is not a fan of yours truly because I ask her actual questions and she does not like that I found her to be a snowflake like celebrity who wants to be heard but but expects to be listened to and never challenged and she's there because Feinstein invited her she's an invited guest of the United States senator that's right and invited invited guest Roger Wright's book I'm a monthly coffee subscription holder to Black Rifle coffee so I cannot use your u.r.l. She even get your own coupon code once again you know Roger I absolutely will do that darn it I get that coupon code out there it's a good call reach out the black rifle folks Richard writes Here's the one question I want to ask my doctor blah blah see Ford Dr Ford as a professor in psychology would you educate the committee regarding the research findings on the reliability and accuracy of recovered memories and the follow up question knowing this can you truly be 100 percent confident in your memory of Judge Kavanaugh as the perpetrator of the abuse is that consistent with the research findings on recovered memories Dr Rick Rick the memory is a tricky thing and the biggest problem that I have with Dr Ford's testimony is that she is only certain really of one thing and that is that Brett Kavanaugh Psalter everything else around it was subject to interpretation in vague hazy memories things like that but but that's the only thing. Arie's writes before the Blumenthal questions I think I heard the Ford heard 4 tell the Republicans that she only talked to Feinstein and that Ashu about her letter between June 30th and August 7th but no one else. A much better detecting a dude b.s. But this chick is lying all she remembers when being polygraphed is a lot of questions and crying. Aries I did not find her newest compelling as everybody else I think you know she it people see a woman who. You know is tearing up and they immediately there's that side of us that just feels the impulse to want to help her but whoa what a day Johnny writes I actually felt sorry for Dr Ford Cavanaugh had his ups and downs and somehow I applauded something Lindsay Ford had to say I don't think Cavanaugh can survive this crucible like treatment he'll never shake this smear I hope the conservatives really do learn to fight back historically the g.o.p. Seems to have no idea how to fight the below the belt ninjas of the Democratic Party Dems have set a new standard they will have a hard time meeting in the future hopefully they will reap what they sow to steam Feinstein know who the next candidate is if Canada doesn't make it Judge bear will be very difficult to block keep up the good fight Johnny. Johnny I certainly hope he makes it through we're going to see he should I mean after today he absolutely should. Karen writes the affirmative action thing keeps getting crazier and crazier I remember hearing about this woman born in Africa to an African mother and an American man of European ancestry who couldn't get certified as an African American She was born in Egypt which is part of Africa to an Egyptian woman and her skin wasn't dark enough are we going to have some kind of test like you have to be darker than a certain a certain paint chip or a cafe au lait to qualify for affirmative action care and I've asked this question before about is it really skin color based and not ancestry based on your point about somebody born in Egypt I had a friend who was born in Cairo and she claimed to be African-American because she thought that that was a designation that accurately describes who she is African in fact Egypt is part of Africa so when she applied to schools and her school guidance counselor for college didn't or your college guidance counselor didn't want to use that designation she had a real problem with it but it turns out that they rejected that notion and she was allowed to so it really is skin color based which they won't say but that is how it is inforced and then you have to ask the question Will is it skin color based up to an including you know do you have to have one parent who is considered a certain shade of skin color for free to qualify they don't have answers Karen They just have threats and whining and pounding Tim writes a book shield side Call me naive but as Kavanagh said something to the effect that he's going to immediately attack Roe vs Wade as soon as he is confirmed Has he ever said that he was going to do that and seems the left is under the impression that as soon as he gets on the bench he's going to reopen this case and singlehandedly reverse it. Can this even happen I mean what kind of logistics would it take for this to happen and are those in fact his intentions no that's not how it happened Tam and people are much more upset about this than they than they should be realistically based on the facts I mean the pro-abortion left but they view abortion as as a kind of sacred right you call our i-t. E. Of the left and that's why they'll do anything to defend it is going to be a better day that much I I have faith in I faith in all of you thank you for being here with me thank you for giving me this opportunity to have some faith restored in humanity I'll be back with you tomorrow Shields very high.
