Keith Ellison has brought 3 charges against the main one is 2nd degree unintentional murder it alleges that while shot and did not intend to cause death he did cause it in the course of committing another felony offense criminal assault which is the intentional and justifiable infliction of bodily harm. Thank you appreciate it so let's look at some of the results of this poll so you polled a few different questions specifically with regard to Disney and Disney's current political dealing so specifically there are there are a few different issues one was the Gina Carano incident and there is something fascinating about Gina Carano and how this breaks down number one what percentage of Americans actually thought the Jena should've been fired before seeing the post versus what percentage thought that she should have been fired after they actually saw the post what she was fired well when we asked the question about should she be fired. 58 percent of Americans opposed her firing So that's you know that's you know a significant portion and then afterwards it was like 73 percent after they actually saw that but then you get back up for 2nd the this is a true it's a national sample this is a true national representative sample of Americans across the board young and old you know white black Hispanic. In terms of partisanship across the board it's a good national sample and what really surprised me in the survey was the number of people who who mentioned that they had heard negative things about Disney over the past couple of weeks and it was led by the Gina Carano firing but that wasn't the only thing they're talking about they're talking about the definitive Milan in the region of China where the Uyghurs are being oppressed they talked about. The right being you know kind of renamed and and Disney locations it was all over the board it was I was really surprised at the. Depth in the breadth of understanding of of of Disney's actions so let's talk for a 2nd about the partisan breakdown here because there was in fact a partisan breakdown obviously the Republicans seem most concerned about Disney engaging cancell culture this becomes clearest when you talk about you know fairly partisan issue like Disney's action in Georgia so Disney obviously suggested they want in a film in Georgia if Georgia's heartbeat bill went ahead was implemented that was an anti-abortion bill that would prevent an abortion after as soon as fetal heartbeat was detected that the poll that you did showed a fairly kind of shockingly even split on how many people were Ok with Disney pushing forward with their threat some 54 percent of Americans opposed the probably 46 percent of Americans were Ok with the idea of a Disney should stop doing business in Georgia after the state government pushed their pro-life legislation what was the partisan breakdown there. First of all those numbers more or less match kind of the demographics of the abortion question nationally it's a pretty even cut between pro-life and pro-choice but this was a majority of Republicans and independents opposed this and nearly one 3rd of the Democrats opposed it the decision was opposed by 50 percent of women so it's a it's a pretty even cut we have a $5446.00. You know poll result here it's pretty even across the board but it's just it's it's stunning that does Disney would make this decision on an issue that is so polarized nationally it just seems to you know it doesn't a corporate sense so what's sort of the extrapolation you can make here about warmth toward cancel culture more generally so obviously Americans generally don't like cancel culture but it seems like there's a pretty significant right left divide over just how little they like it it's not as though identical percentages of independents and Republicans and Democrats all dislike cancel culture and it seems like there's a pretty heavy skew to one side of the aisle disliking cancel culture while another side of the aisle seems like you know relatively sanguine about it at least by poll statistics Yeah I mean it's. It's definitely has a huge It is a logical cut to the data 2 thirds of Americans agree that companies like Disney have taken political correctness too far and that's like when you break the data bipartisanship on that 90 percent of Republicans 60 percent of independents and even half of Democrats 47 percent of Democrats believe that companies like Disney of have taken this too far and it is that 47 percent of Democrats number that scares me because that suggests of course that 53 percent of Democrats don't actually think the Disney has taken this too far and and that is that is a scary number for a huge number of Americans who believe that you know Democrats are in charge of many of the major institutions of our society including corporations like Disney in that the fact is that the Democrats right now not only run the auspices of the government they also are at the heads of the major institutions in Hollywood they're at the heads of major corporations or at least major corporations are exceeding to these sort of woke actions do you think there's going to be enough resistance here to actually create a backlash in terms of the council culture so you see just the corporations should recognize what they're doing here that there may be a correlation between going walking going broke in other words do you think that the backlash are strong enough to actually generates some sort of. Awareness or reckoning with with corporations that decide to participate in this sort of stuff well there can be a backlash that if Americans. You know use their feet to actually do it I mean it's a pocketbook issue for for corporations if they think it's going to hurt their business . They may then they have 2nd thoughts I mean this was you know just. When we've asked the question if we went to these negatives on these things that Disney it done and something like assuming the numbers here 60 percent of Americans said they were less favorable to the company and 51 percent of Disney's fans said they were less favorable and a majority said they're less likely to use Disney products even my mention this to my daughter and son in law the other day my son and they're they're married living in New York their Millennial and they have both canceled Disney plus as a result of the June across you know foreign So if Americans you know walk with their feet walking their pocketbooks away from companies like this it's going to have an impact.
