Populate that area between p.c.h. And sunset between Temescal and chautauqua But that same box that we described earlier today from the 405 over to Temescal from Sunset up to Mulholland remains mandatory evacuation we will let people know of course in the coming hours and or days when you can safely repopulate or whether you can get back in there if you need to get something from home but right now that is not open so that we can make sure emergency vehicles have what they need we also have seen not I would say laying down of the fire but we expect around this time some of the on shore breezes to shift that could assist us bring more moist air and also bringing what was pushing this way and that way the plumes could come up you may see that smoke go directly up that's actually not a bad sign but a good one for some of the work that we can do with our aerial units and as I said we've got a lot of folks on the ground as well playing those fire lines and we've seen the retardant really having a nice northern border there as well. Again the rec centers that are open for folks that do need shelter right now or a place to go during the day and you can bring your pets West with rec center stone or Pacific Palisades Cheviot Hills and in the valley Sherman Oaks Van Eyes small pets can go to both the West Valley Animal Shelter and the West l.a. Animal shelter and large animals can go to Hanson Dam I'll turn it over to our fire chief but before that I just want to thank both Council members the one whose district has been affected Mike Bonnin and neighboring district Paul carets who has taken many people into the facilities in his district we appreciate both them and their staffs good work especially appreciate l.a.p.d. C.h.p. And our other law enforcement officials one last note on that southbound between one o one and sunset remains closed on the 4 or 5 northbound is open without Let me turn it over to off to process who's leading a group of pro firefighters today. We're making great progress. Thank you Mayor. Earlier this morning I was able to go up and drive some of the streets where we lost some of the homes and I was able to talk to our firefighters on scene and they described the firefight that occurred early this morning. That they were literally overwhelmed. They had to make some tough decisions on which houses they were able to protect. Many times it depends upon where the ember lands I saw homes that were Jason 2 homes that were totally destroyed without any damage and when I look at those homes part of its randomness part of it is building construction a lot of them that survived had bought Steves and made out of concrete and they survived. Very very challenging fire. And like the mayor said a few hours ago we went up there and one of our helicopters and through the perimeter and I'm very very impressed with the the work there firefighters did early this morning not only Los Angeles City Fire Department of Los Angeles County Fire Department Orange County Fire Authority and multiple departments from throughout the region as well as our law enforcement partners l.a.p.d. They were critical in assisting with the notifications. Were getting a lot of questions about technology so I'll talk a little bit about different pieces of technology. The 1st one is our wireless emergency alert system we are alerting now on a regular basis the 1st one out 1st one went out early this morning. Anybody who lives within the perimeter of the fire was was sent a we alert wireless emergency alert that's where your cell phone goes off with that information and that directs the recipient to Elliot Di dot org website to see where the evacuation zones have been identified we also have notify l.a. That's something. You have to register for you can register for that using our texting 88777. We also have the reverse 911 system and I understand police officers were also knocking on doors and using wound loudspeakers to alert the people that were still sleeping. A 2nd piece of technology I want to talk about is our wife fire technology it's a partnership with the u.c. San Diego we've been partners with them for a little over 4 years on the y. Fire technology it allows us to run a projection within the 1st few minutes of dispatching a brush assignment to a brush fire the projection tells us where the fire is headed and we get that projection within minutes it uses real time weather data known fire corridors. Fuel things of that nature we found the last few years it's pretty accurate it's not 100 percent accurate but it's pretty accurate it's really fast we built upon that this year with the fires system fairish is the fire integrated real time intelligence system that's where we launched 2 fixed wing aircraft within 30 minutes to an hour after the initial dispatch to fly the perimeter of the fire fire above our helicopters that information is transmitted to our southern California wildfire fusion center which is at our dispatch center within Los Angeles City Fire Department that gives us data and information we've never had before that quick usually it's many hours into the incident or even the next day before we get the real time for a matter. That technology allows us to ensure that the information we share with the public is as accurate as possible. The last piece of technology something we used 2 years ago as our drones will be using the drones later on in the week we can ground our helicopters to save on the hours on the motor give our pilots and. Break it when user drones with infrared cameras to identify the hotspots that will tell us where we need to put our our firefighters to make sure the fire is cold a lot of things going on with technology those are tools that we've been using the last few years we're very fortunate that we have a very robust Fire Department thanks to the support America our city your city council and our fire commissioners we have 2 new aggrieved helicopters we've got in the last few years those are absolutely critical along with all the fixed wing assets we do year around training on brush preparedness with our firefighters Unfortunately the public takes against like this to motivate the public to really understand Ready set go and what a brush clearance program looks like we're fortunate that in the area of the city of l.a. We have 134000 parcels brush parcels in our 1st week this year 92 percent were cleared so thank you to the public for your cooperation there also thank you to the public for the evacuations that occurred this morning and went relatively smoothly given the size of the incident without altering it over back to the Mayor thank you let me also thank the school district and Nick Melville and have joined us as well from the school board and we know that number of schools that have been closed in l.a. U.s.d. Appreciate their information and getting that out to everybody and u.c.l.a. Remains closed for classes as well but with that we'll try to keep that brief but I meant that on the end of Espanyol you could see it that demolition which will progress are going to stay in San Diego I would. Say simple the the a c. Grace Bedell in the West has been bad to us even less so I mean listen that's about it was able to see I stand alone that we were listening to a press conference with ours and not us and I'm sure that it will change as you're leaving us are going to. Be good god us done right and you just heard America are studying you starting to get that same information in Spanish that you just heard in. And at the c.n.n. Feed on the update on the fire the fires in and around Los Angeles area. Layout is trying to struggle in I'm here oh you're there I made it up I made it right when you're doing cross talk I was parking undulation What about I had to go all the way around Hollywood so I had to go because all the canyons were closed down from there for me to paying on down and even the one in Calabasas So that took out last version as came all the way around they said maybe cold water account of cold water 1st 2nd both lanes did not move I continued down Ventura Bowl are get back on the one on one pass the Hollywood ball past the Capitol Building up by Cohen has to yeah oh no no you can pass that I got off on Sunset I passed Hollywood Boulevard got off on Sunset and made my way through Hollywood and Crenshaw back down to the 10 and around oh yeah that's how I got here this morning from Mark well now from home we appreciate you being here to talk about our 45 minutes of Dr Yeah exactly if not for. You did you observe anything because the window of the 4 or 5 was definitely shut down because this morning there were a lot of things you know I got the alert on my phone at 247 this morning so I got that 1st alert that went out after the fire broke and now when I heard about that right yeah but when I clicked on the link when it went to the l.a. Off the site it had not updated on the on the link that it gave you at that alerted 247 we're going to go back and see it if you think the press conference is picking up again we're not going to get here so when people say I feel like my home is far away from where this fire is do not return for your own safety trust the fire department trust the professionals to do this and don't be a hero without a Happy to answer questions from the American morning and you were able to prove just be through to find the missing in the direct to no more plans later today would be callous now about possible versus maturity so there's an active arson investigation I'd also say to the public when you hear arson that sounds like somebody has set it arson investigations or just the call. Of the fire that doesn't necessarily mean somebody has said it's something that that is well we do know that and they and that's a good there was no homeless encampment so that has been again ruled out that's not what started this but we have an active investigation right now I can't share much more than that today or it's right at this moment but we will we want the integrity of that investigation because for all sorts of reasons the city has to be that neutral arbiter but we're making good progress they think they're pretty close to understanding why and as soon as we get the green light we will share that. Absolutely the state master mutual aid system was was important to us in this incident as any large brushfire it is we've gotten resources from throughout the region personal attacks from Chief Tennessee from Orange County Fire Authority. Bringing offering up some strike teams as well as their whole a tanker. As well as chief Osby another fire departments we're putting them in the system and it's reciprocal whenever we can stand we do and that's what it's going to take for us to get through these emergencies that are occurring throughout the state all fire departments and the public have to work together to get through this . And of. Course the dinner that there are out there right away and everything is there right now that they got there may. Also then with the state even. Down. There are over. Their resources helicopters are absolutely critical. Every year we announce we have a press conference announcing our or at least tell a taker we also revisit this statistics we do have the largest initial dispatch of brush helicopters anywhere we think in the country if not the world and that's because we have the l.a. County fire to par. I mean combined with the l.a. City Fire Department as well as our least Hilla takers as well as our least super scoopers. All our firefighters pinch the fire they hit the flanks or our helicopters get in front of it and when necessary they make drops many times just a nick of time to prevent a house from taking off you may have seen the footage from the Palisades fire a few days ago and literally. The fire was encroaching on some houses and the helicopter drops prevented those houses from being lost. I'm always worried about Santa Ana wind conditions especially when we have a fire that's not contained it there's still hot spots within the fire that we have here so when when comes and picks up an ember and blows in the wrong place we could have another fire start that's why I've directed my so my command staff to do everything possible to get this fire as cold as possible before the anticipation of high wind events occur later in the week or you're really doubted he our Bull's-Eye that's warmer for the fire and. We're not ruling out anything but the investigation is very thorough like the mare said we can rule out the homeless encampment start we do know the general vicinity of the fire start which is just off the 4 or 5 freeway and you're supposed to. That is very apparent and that's that's all I can see at this time we'll have more information later on this one thing to that because I know it's been out of the press there is one power pole that fell that is birth through the bottom and this year's team said that just that it burned on the bottom it's still intact those lines are still intact so they have absolutely no evidence on that line that that was a cause but as I said the rest is under investigation right now. On the simple the passage of that no I think just to the south of where it started. Ok I think I see yes. Sure. Sure I'll let the chief chime in as well but I will say you know it's very easy in budget years where there's not big fires to say oh the fire department is fine and during the recession partially by necessity we saw this department cut pretty dramatically. When I was elected mayor one of the things I did was sit down I chose a new chief saying what do we need let's do this before there's a disaster so whether it's new equipment like some of the trucks that can go into the brush areas directly and go you know off road whether it's an additional helicopter or re stablish in some of the trucks these are the fire engines as a popularly known in the stations working with council member bonding for instance and a couple of his stations we've restored those those are absolutely critical absolutely helpful and making sure that we have the staffing so we've also we haven't had a fire class graduate I think for 5 years and how many we've had now to b.c. I think at least think 18 at least since I've been mayor in the last 7 years so we have put those resources on the line 2nd there's no place in America that has the mutual aid like we do and that goes not just between fire departments but across law enforcement I watch it you don't get to see it but when you have l.a.p.d. L.a. F.t. When you have county fire our sheriff's Highway Patrol Cal Fire when we do u.s. Forest Service it's a very seamless thing and people take their hats off they're not territorial they fight this fire like it is their own backyard whether it is or not and to see some of the trucks that roll in quickly from Kings County from places across California you know it really is one of those moments where you're proud to be not only Angeleno But a California. That. We don't know for sure but if. We get more specific we would be to scatters but we do expect Wednesday the wind to pick up dramatically that's a be some of the strongest Santa Ana winds right now we're expecting that more offshore winds will start blowing in so as we've been saying it's gone from the northeast to the southwest up until about midday you can kind of feel it right now here it's starting to push the other direction where those meet you get plumes that go straight up as I mentioned Don't be scared by those that are actually good signs for helicopters they can do a lot of good damage on the fire when that happens and that will also be more moist air but I think that it's interesting when they. Get out of the overhead we've got some significant air power here and we feel confident about the direction that we're moving. To because. I have been in communication with the governor 1st partner Jennifer Siebel Newsome is in town as well and she's visited some of the rec centers as we did Council over carets and counselor bond and I to reassure people and tell them so we really appreciate her activity have been in direct contact with him yes and he's been very helpful with the state declaration applies to us as well I signed since we met last time the official declaration from the city as well so that allows those state funds in those federal funds to come to help our efforts. Because All right thanks abody for shit. And that was the press conference with the Los Angeles Mayor Gordon the fires that we're out of have to travel through this morning. And you were telling us before we went back to the record yes so I had I got the alert my 1st alert came in at 247 this morning so I was aware of something going on but when you click on the link from l.a. F.t. When you get these alerts because of course I signed up last year during the Woolsey fire that we were affected by to it didn't have anything yet like the latest thing that I had updated on 12 site was like a fire structure burning. In Hollywood or something saw is going on and what's going on I wasn't sure what was happening then again at like 4 o'clock I got another alert and they had finally updated it and I saw that it was like in spite of pounds by the Getty Center and I'm thinking oh no so you know been up since 4 35 o'clock watching it and you know the problem is I live in the West Valley and so sometimes if I can't get to you know the one on one to the 4 or 5 which they had shut down at 1st they didn't shut it down it's just they were shutting down the off ramp so a lot of the emergency vehicles could you know work on supposed to not not have all the other traffic but then they did shut it down from the one on one to Sunset Boulevard which you know in essence you can't go over the hill that way but then as you get closer as you're going east for me you know coming from like the Woodland Hills or in the one on one going towards l.a. Any of those street bow boa any of those streets that you can take and cross over sort of the pass and then kind of come back it always kind of feed you back toward Sapulpa and then you can get back on the 45 once you get to the bottom of the hill while all of that was taken away while I'm on the way down by to paying as well so to paying as my other way to get to work around this way so but to bang it was being shut down because that's the west end of the you know be ready to evacuate zone all the way down the range so they're like do not get on to paying out we're closing down unless you live in the area right off Tanger So that was shut down and then there was the Calabasas fire which is just you know north of us a little bit. And they had shut down 2 lanes of the freeway going east as well like Los virgin This was a little bit on fire the song you know about was taken away as well so you know I'm on the boat Lori you know lives on 1000 and she was already on the road trying to get over any way she could get over and she's sitting in traffic I'm talking to Louis here we're talking to Bill and you know Bill are our traffic guys trying to you know he's like maybe take to paying it or you know a cold water canyon but once I got the cold are gone off and we just sat there like it was we could even get towards the van you know I was like oh my God So I got on ways and ways told me to get back on to the want to once I had to get back through you know Ventura Boulevard work my way through like Studio City and all that way get back on of the want to one pass you know the Hollywood ball passing coing a passing Hollywood get off on Sunset and so basically the sunset in the Denny's there down by the Home Depot all the way down keep going down towards the town I'm making my way through will sure down Crenshaw to that 10 you know it was just my God I went the whole roundabout way to get to get basically over the hill to get here but I made it with 2 minutes to spare thank you for doing we're going to the Bobby area miss out on the fun out of it you'll be a former Navy Seal about the Barcarolle dark daddy mission and you get a lot of stuff you know into those couple hours of talk about psychedelics we're going to talk about the Washington feel Klara new book about how the deck is stacked against them they actually have 3 of them Dr with us with their lives of 90 caves say. Agent the author of sheep no more the art of awareness and attack survival Jotham Welcome back and it's always good to be with you so I wondered just take your initial thoughts on the attack that resulted in the demise of Ababa Karlberg Dotty . Well I thought it was an incredible operation is all it's always you know what I really love was watching this president describe it because he's not you know he's more of a civilian that he is a politician and you could tell that he was in awe of what he saw and I really do believe you know when we would do dog and what we call dog and pony shows where you bring people that are executives or congressmen or something and we display the things that we can do. It just blows their mind it really doesn't and so what you see is. And what the president and his actions show is that America has the ability to not only. Have great diplomacy but also to hold in reserve the ability to reach out and strike our enemies wherever they are and do it in a strategic and very tactical way so that we can not only get specific targets but actually strategically change the shape of what's happening with their plans and missions and things that their bitter enemies are trying to carry out we can strategically change those at the same time and that I think is going to be shown in the long run when it comes to how ISIS is able to operate in the future and Jonathan Lee-Anne hero tell us tell our listeners you know when you we heard all about it overnight and what's happening and they were saying oh it's you know this we've tried it for years to try to get this guy it's been you know taken off the table a few times explained to people why it's so hard to get somebody like the guy that's the number one guy on our terror less than thank God he's gone this guy who's done these atrocities and crimes against human beings that we've never seen in our lifetime why why sometimes is it you know not a good time to go in and tell people how they travel around and use decoys and things like that and how this just was a great. You know attack that we were able to get him. I think you know in order to explain that the best way to do it is with something that everybody a lot of people are more familiar with and that would be El Chapo you know El Chapo the guy that was the drug war down in South America that guy had the ability and he . Had a process of how he moved how they own civilians in certain areas how they went in and would in fact literally kill police or sometimes just families in order to ensure that the public knew you don't mess with Al choco and his people so that and of itself makes it easier to move around you see the same thing in the Middle East with Al Baghdadi or any of these warrior factions is that what they do is they 1st and foremost intimidation is the biggest thing that they can use when it comes to being able to hide in plain sight basically the other thing is that you know they are. A religious fringe and they do have and have created no lore of the religious you know thing that they have where people come from all around the world to fight with them and so when you take this mystique that they have the ability to intimidate not just a town but entire region and then you have fighters that have come from around the world that fight very brutally and don't subscribe to the rules or like we do. It creates an environment for them to be able to maneuver. Very easily Now you couple that with the fact that you know we're not talking about a country like the United States it's relatively young historically speaking 243 years old you know these are areas where people have lived families lived for 1000 years so they know the area better than anybody else and the the 3rd thing that really goes along with that. And it's the most unfortunate thing is that. We have been. For a long time in a proxy war where we had some point CIA operatives training one group of people over there we had special forces training another group over there and they actually fought against each other in some cases not our troops but the people that they were training and so there was a lot of confusion I think when it comes to you know who do we listen to. What Intel is what you have to script that entails because ultimately you know they're trying to get rid of these bad guys without killing civilians ultimately So there's a process in how you track these people and all those things are factors that are involved and how they move without being caught you have to go a break but I want to can you describe to us what you think perhaps after the break what the attack looked like and what kinds of equipment was used that sort of thing you have any sense of that sure sure you know we wait so after the break yesterday after the break it's 802225222 if you like to ask any questions or drop them he's got tons of info you can follow him at Gilliam at j. Agent with us we're talking about the operation against Abu Dhabi so I was asking what kinds of resources were used what would it have looked like what do you think happened. But they didn't and these operations are it seems like pretty phenomenal stuff when you hear about them getting. Back daddy. But these are operations that you know these individuals are trained to do they do them I would say day in and day out but they do it quite often whether it be hostage rescue or going in and capturing or killing one of these high level people. You know without giving too much away in a lot of these operations you will have or in all of them you're going to have some kind of overwatch intelligence you're either going to have you know eyes on target through 1st it comes through sources source information human intelligence maybe you're capturing something that somebody a said are a cell phone or some prior intelligence that you know this person is going to be in this location at this particular time you can watch them with satellites if possible they have different types of drones that they can watch from a standoff distance and sometimes we sneak people in. Weeks ahead of time and they're there watching the target for a long period of time but when the assault happens and this is the interesting thing about training as a seal when you're you know going through a lot of the training you often get used as a role player for another platoon so you know what it's like to be on the inside when these helicopters are landed and they're coming in and you're going to fight you know we use in the nation's in that fight but it's pretty intimidating if I'm Albert if I'm one of these guys whether it whether it's him or any of these other people that were in there and all of a sudden 8 helicopters appear out of nowhere basically because of the way that they have to build a just to come in their oil and and get in on target real quick so these 8 helicopters appear and also each one of those helicopters you're going to have a minimum of 6 guys probably running full speed into a location with dogs you're going to have a group of people that will surround of our people that will surround the area as a blocking force and then a group of people that are worked their way through the target quite often and as they systematically and this is not something we're watching I'm sure when the president watched it. The way the helicopters land here the violence of action there question that they use is very controlled so these helicopters land in and preposition ways that sometimes will be right on the target you may have guys fast roping in some places you may have helicopters actually touching down and they're jumping out of helicopters or running in but in any case the actual takedown itself can happen very quickly and if you're on the target and they're identifying people and then they in the case of what happened in this case and this issue where the guy ran into they have multiple tunnels and they study these tunnels they I think present Trump was saying that they knew that some of these tunnels had a back exit and they had those covered so that's how well the intel was on this. Some of this stuff goes down pretty quickly to the point where they're in there they're trapped you said the dog. And unfortunately you know the dogs are a tool that we use a beloved tool and a force multiplier like Cannot believe in this case when when somebody who has a bomb strapped to him is challenged by one or 2 or these dogs it's a bad day for them and he decided to go out like he did but no apparent effect here in the dogs Ok yeah I hear their dog is not Ok then it's alive yeah yes good ultimately I think here's what people need to realize about these events is that they they don't happen during the day like you see in the movies these are vans that happen at night. These individuals that carry these events out are highly trained enough to shoot moving communicate at night in a very rapid and fluid situation and they do it very effectively because of the years and years and years of training this is just something they want to be cool they signed up and did it a lot of pain and agony years before to get to the point that they are have has occurred to where they can keep. Larry these things out so key you're watching it from a distance it may look like a coordinated event but in real life it really comes down to the military to communicate and carry out the plan and shift when the plan goes fluid in other words things are a little bit different on the ground than those would have been in the way you planned it what you think of The Washington Post headline read it to. The core of our daddy austere religious scholar at helm of Islamic state dies. Yeah well Couple that with the fact that Saturday Night Live was doing a skit at the same time this operation was going down coke and fun at the president a little and him and actually our dating ISIS existence it was having at the same time it just goes to show you have read to us this political banter is gotten and for people in your in The Washington Post to go that far it was also in Bloomberg something very similar it's kind of the point where we can even kill or call a murderer a guy who took an American citizen made him it hurt his sex slave and then killed or we can't call that guy a disgusting murderer I mean it's gotten pretty rigid and you know what I remember to remember when Osama bin Laden was was killed and you know it didn't matter what your political affiliation was I think everybody rejoiced in the streets and just said Ok the bad guy is dead and now it's like everybody it's almost like apologies for this guy who is was now our number one hit you know target on on the terrorist list and it's like he's gone and now it's just like oh he was just the scholar in a stare religious scholar you know it's like well what are you trying to you're trying to make him out to be like some good dude that just happen to belong to some coffee and not only did he die journalism died there I think you write them Thank you know the journalist and I also they got his 2nd the guy was supposed to fill in for you as they got amounted to yes like their spokesman what happened and what happened how they got that the guy who was supposed he was a set number 2 Yeah he got killed as well but you know they're starting to go on aren't on Meet the Press they had a general and former head of the CIA are there and they were read to kill us when they said that Trump went too far as to say that they were bringing back pieces of his body that they should have respected his him the way that we respected a sob in law because of religious reasons I couldn't believe it blew himself up with like 3 of the 6 kids. Yeah I don't care about his religious status he's got murder we've just thrown the pieces in the ocean. What are they there because that's what they do with the bill as right just throw the p. But just as an aside I had a traumatic day today because I saw Carol Channing died and if you don't know if you're young young you don't care Channing she is an older actors but she was in a lot of stuff the reason it was traumatic for me growing up we didn't have a whole lot of money but my parents took me to New going to forget my parents took me to New York in the 1st time to go with your parents in New York you're holding your dad's hand you got your little hand in his you're you're you're looking up because everything is huge that that you've never seen buildings that big you never seen that many people in the hustle and the bustle and they saved up and we went to a matinee on Broadway and I was so excited I even knew it like age 7 but that this was this was something special right so and my parents inexplicably would put me in a wool suit I had a great I never got a gray wolf suit and I'm sweater and I was a husky at that point and today's world no one would be able to say anything because it's politically incorrect to say that but when I went to Boys Town on Haverford Avenue in Philadelphia they actually had a picture of a husky and a 3 piece suit Ok it wasn't bad enough that I already had like the pompadour in the pimples and the nose was starting to sprout I'm in a wool suit shopping in a store where most boys can. And cross their legs Ok when they're sitting down and you need help on crossing them so I'm now in New York it's a little bit humid and I'm in my wool suit but I'm really excited I'm going to Broadway and I had Wow And there she comes out I see her on t.v. And the curtain goes up and it's amazing and she's singing diamond Jarek best friend were in the balcony and in the seat next the aisle seat and a guy on the other side of the aisle who was quite soft that big throw throws and so he has a heart attack while she's singing and I'm standing there watching people rip open a shirt and try and revive him and bring him back which they did but that was the entire 2nd act of Gentlemen Prefer Blondes for me was paramedics and wife's crying and people go oh my god. So forget that I hear that song and I go right into I go right back to the hot suit and try and trauma ville. Inside. I need you. To come. Clean your wounds for 39 use. Sunday mornings at 8 pm 7 Lady Ga b.c. . It is made a lot of the n.p.t. I remember seeing 102 Q 25222 as I said coming up the top there are going to speak to Rick Doblin the founder executive of maps Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies strangely and I had dinner last night with a psychologist who has been doing this work for decades really yeah and was well I've been told it fascinated by this for the last several years because I do believe we should be doing a lot of study on many of these different drugs particularly Still aside and I lost going over game now or didn't they do a lot of this type of stuff. Being and then all of a sudden it just didn't just go away because things went bad or because the drugs were viewed as bad all right they were understudies were beginning in the sixty's and right list is a little unpredictable but a lot of the stuff which is what they were started studying the sixty's and but they you know they would get there was there was some acknowledgement of the stuff to really be useful and because the federal government sort of declared that these chemical these these molecules are just evil no one could touch them we were prevented from doing any research on them so all research stopped in the sixty's and now people are starting to tiptoe back certain countries are having some really good results.
