Tit for at that time. Welcome, everybody. Im neil cavuto. First, to john roberts at the white house on what is fast becoming a very delicate balancing act for the president of the United States. Reporter im told by officials on the q. T. We may hear something from saudi arabia in the not too distant future explaining what may have happened to the saudi journalist who is was a columnist for the Washington Post, jamal khashoggi. A suggestion of a rogue operation that the president was talking about this morning may have ended up in khashoggis death during an interrogation, which was apparently unauthorized by the saudi government. We are digging a little more deeply into this. Officials here at the white house reluctant to say anything just yet because not fully informed yet by the saudi government. There is also a question of classification here. We are keeping a close eye on our saudi sources, because they may have something to say about it very soon. The president on his way down to florida today saying he had about a 20minute conversation with king salman of saudi arabia. There was some allegations that mohammad bin salman, his son, may have ordered khashoggi to be taken in and killed. According to the president , the king denied that either he or his son had anything to do with it. Listen here. The king firmly denied any knowledge of it. He didnt really know. I dont want to get into his mind but it sounded to me like maybe these could have been rogue killers. Who knows . Reporter that was a theory being floated by the king of saudi arabia, the idea it was some sort of rogue operation. I think thats what we may be hearing about a little bit later on. The president on an interview on 60 minutes that was taped back on thursday before we knew much about this at all said that if the saudis were involved, there would be some serious consequences. Listen here. There is something really terrible and disgusting about that if that were the case. We are going to have to see. We are going to get to the bottom of it. There will be severe punishment. Reporter the saudis had threatened retaliation if the United States would enact any kind of sanctions against them. There was talk on capitol hill about canceling some or all of the remainder of the arms deal that was seened between the United States and saudi arabia worth 110 billion. Saudi arabia suggesting if Something Like that were to happen, the price of oil might suddenly go to 200 a barrel and later walking that back a little bit in a tweet last night, to help clarify recently statement, the kingdom of saudi arabia extends its appreciation to all from refraining to jumping to conclusions. There is a big Investment Conference on the 23rd. Some ceos have pulled out. The ceo of uber, jpmorgan chase, jamie dimon, treasury secretary, Steven Mnuchin is still scheduled to go. They may reassess that later on this week depending on what the outcome of the investigation is. We dont know that the saudis are waiting for mike pompeo to get on the ground into riyadh before saying anything. The momentum of all the rumors and reports coming out of turkey and saudi arabia will force them to say something. Well be watching very closely. There may be something coming from the saw dis. Neil thank you very much, john. The president of the United States has now landed at Robbins Air Force base. He is also touring the hurricane damage there. He might talk to reporters or we might pick up audio addressing some of these latest issues, including reports that the saudis might be making a statement. There is no way to tell. Lets get the read on all of this. Rebecca hinrich from the hudson institute. At the very least, it complicates things in our relationship. How badly do you think . This is to be determined. I any think it is important to keep in mind that all the information we have comes from anonymous turkish officials and that being spread out among other media outlets. The turkish government claims there is audio and video, perhaps, of the murder allegations. We still havent confirmed that. Western allies havent confirmed that. I think its interesting the turkish government and saudi government will investigate further. Why would the turkish government do this if they have evidence of the murder already, which causes me to think that the turkish government is striking some type of deal with the government of saudi arabia. They want to have better relationship with the United States. We have to wait and see. I think that the president s gut instinct that we are not going to cut Foreign Military aid with the saudis over Something Like this, i think is the right instinct because of that important strategic relationship we do have with the king of saudi arabia. Neil a lot of things dont look good on how obvious it would have been for the saudis to butcher this guy, unless something went very, very wrong or that there were video and audio made available we were told originally u. S. Intelligence officials and the president didnt know that or did and ignored that and came up with these rogue killers. Something is not fitting together here. It doesnt fit together. I dont have rosecolored glasses when it comes to the kingdom of saudi arabia. I have been there. When i had concerns when i worked for the congress about their lack of efforts in humanitarian reforms or human rights treatments within the country. I dont have any illusions about what kind of country it is. There have been reforms made over the past year. They do provide a lot of cooperative effort, Counter Terrorism efforts with the United States. Saudi arabia has provided a counter. They are the largest customer of u. S. Foreign military sales. The United States continues to work with them on all kinds of efforts. This is a strong relationship. It doesnt make a whole lot of sense if we knew they were about to conduct a political assassination on turkish soil, that the United States knew that and wouldnt alarm the columnist of this doesnt make a whole lot of sense. It doesnt add up. Neil i feel like im doing the old columbo episode. Rebecca is too young to know that. I want to get the read from david. David has a hit show that starts a little more than 42, 52 minutes. On fox network. David, i will begin with you then on the confusion here in this big financial conference thats coming up. A lot of people are begging now and asking questions later. Im wondering whats going to happen here. First of all, you shouldnt jump to make any move that endangers our relationship with saudi arabia. As you were mentioned, they are our number one ally against iran. Iran is a very dangerous country that kills a lot of people. This is one murder that has to be investigated, if, indeed, it was. We dont know it was a murder. Dont do anything rash. We should remember. It reminds me of what happened in 1979 when we abandoned the shaw of iran. He was not a nice guy. He used to kill political prisoners. Look what replaced him . It was the ayatollah who killed thousands, hundreds of thousands. We want to be careful not to undermine what this crown prince is trying to do, slowly turn around a country thats been living in the past for a couple hundred years. Neil gary, i am reminded that a lot of people want to suck up to the royal kingdom and the aunt and uncle. Is there a risk if this gets nasty between our countries . Could you seriously envision as one arab entity reported oil rocketing to 400 a barrel . Is that overstated . I would say 400 is quite overstated. The good news for us, in 2017, we only imported less than 12 of oil from saudi arabia and only used 40 of Petroleum Products for our energy. We are okay. If prices spike, with the fact that we are basically at 18month highs in gas prices, which on a yearly basis, about 70 billion out of the consumers pocket, not included businesses Like Airlines and cruise lines, it could be a big thing. I have to figure that saudi arabia knows if they do Something Like slow production down, that hurts them. I have to think that smarter and cooler heads may prevail. These may be the people that perpetrated a very heinous act. Neil we do know that stocks took a down turn at the first report of this. The saudis, david, could withhold buying any more treasury securities. They could even sell some. What do you think . Not only treasury securities. We have about 110 million in arms sales pending with them. Neil that was the big drag on defense. They bought over 50 billion last year. If we use 110 billion in arms sales. We dont depend on arms sales but we could be shooting ourself in the foot if we cut those deals. Neil they could go to the chinese or the russians. They could go elsewhere. I dont think they would want to. Obvious point is that we do have a relationship with them that far exceeds the money aspect of it. It is the middle east. Anything can happen. The middle east is a tinder box and could blow up at any minute and we have to be fair bull about dissuading ourselves from our allies. Neil i found it odd that many on the left who were all encouraging this deal with iran, the Nuclear Agreement and some butchers are looking askance at this situation. I am not equating the two. I am saying that for the criticism that has been heaped on the saudis, compared to the acceptance in allowing the iranians to make a deal and a generous deal at that that the president then later ripped up, it seems like a weird double standard . Look, under obama, everything he did was right and good and everything under trump is wrong and bad. It is as simple as that. I stealth remember president obama doing the wave with the castr castros. That was okay. President trump meets and tries to stop nuclear genocide. That is no good. It is nature of the beast in politics. To be fair, it is on both sides. Neil and erdogan doesnt come to this with clean hands either. It may be on your show tonight. It may indeed. Neil you have brought back an iconic show. An iconic show. The first anchor was the late brenda butler. She was a saint and wonderful person to carry on this show. We are carrying on her show. I am going to do the best i can. The bottom line is what i am going to do best is hopefully sit back and let all these people have fun. It is a very easy show for me to anchor. Neil not quite. You sell yourself short. I am looking ford to it just about 45 minutes from now. Great names i am sure will be a frequent guest. For all i know, may be touching on the president s tour of the deep south. He was in florida early. He is in georgia now. He might have a chance to respond to some of the latest developments on the part of the saudis and the turks. This is mike tobin in mexico beach, florida, where just hours ago, the president and first lady on board marine one gave a flyover to view all of this devastation. They landed and went just about 25 miles northwest of here to lynn haven, florida, one of the hardest hit areas, pretty much took a direct hit from the eye of this storm. The president and first lady along with governor rick scott handed out water and talked about the devastation. The u. S. Hasnt seen a storm like this in 50 years. They praised Governor Scott for his work and praised all of the recovery workers and first responders. Mere in mexico beach, florida, the emphasis is still on recovery. The search and recovery teams from task force, floridas Task Force Number two have been out in the debris again today. They have done their preliminary searches and more detailed secondary searches and came back and did targeted searches of lastknown locations of individuals. Still, as of this morning, they were talking about some 39 people who to this date are unaccounted for. Loved ones still cant reach them. They took the Shallow Water boat took them in the back water to see if anyone may have washed up in any of those locations. There is a great emphasis on communications with bay county officials complaining bitterly about the Telecommunications Company and their inability to reach their own workers and get the word out to victims of the storm about where they can find aid, food, and water. They are having a hard time getting loved ones to contact each other. People come down here and add to the congestion looking for loved ones. Late today we have word about looting in panama city. More as the day goes on. Neil thank you very much. Ted Williams Joins us right now. A lot easier said than done finding folks . It certainly is. That was a category 4 storm that hit and it hit so hard and so fast that many got out and many unfortunately did not get out. This is an excellent example of when the authorities tell individuals, get out, that they should definitely get out. Some stay behind and now unfortunately there are quite a few that are missing and approximately from what i have been told 19 have been found dead. Ted, as we are switching topics and waiting to get a statement potentially out of the saudis on what happened to this Washington Post journalist, you are a very good investigator. They have opened this up to have the embassy look at by an independent investigative. If you were part of the team, what would you look for . What i would want to do is bring a forensic unit in. They are going to have to have that. What you are looking for is for blood splatter. You are not going to see any of that with the nakedite. You would want to have a Forensic Team in there. We saw when khashoggi went into the embassy. There is nothing to show him having come out. They need to provide that kind of video that would be in there. You would need a complete forensic scrub of the embassy. Neil they didnt put any limitations on it, the saudis, on what this team could do. They would first do the forensic scrub or whatever you are calling it. Any signs of blood, right . That would tell you if, indeed, he was, as the turks, have alleged, killed on the site . There is always that possibility. When you are dealing with expert killers, lets say, they know very well how to lay down various mats and plastic so that if, in fact, you kill somebody there, all of the body would land in this plastic and you may not be able to find anything forensically. Neil we are hearing separately from john roberts. Sources are telling fox news that the president has been informed that khashoggi might have been accidentally killed during an intear kainterrogatio. What do you think of that . We have been told there were hit squads coming from saudi arabia and into that venue. They need to verify these individuals. Neil i apologize for throwing so much at you. Ted williams, thank you very much. We are getting more details from the saudis that might dot the is and cross the ts on a horrific act. More after this. Onceweekly ozempic®. Three weeks from now, voters are going to decide on whether to impose a tax on Large Companies to help pay for homeless services. It could hit up to 400 such companies in the area and beyond. Fox Business Network, Deirdre Bolton has been crunching all the networks. Reporter this is going to be so contentious for the city. There are so many big names we know for and against. This is really muscular on both sides. 300 million is part of what is being proposed. It is called proposition c, november 6th. Everyone in San Francisco is going to vote. The idea is to raise this kind of tax that is going to go to help Homeless People and extend Mental Health services, if necessary. San franciscos largest employer, sales force, the founder supports the venture, even though it is going to cost sales force 10 million per year. His opinion is that people arent going to want to work there. People arent going to want to live there unless something is done about the homeless population. If you look through your local papers, San Francisco is almost now being better known for quite frankly its filth. One tech worker who has this snap chat account. It is called snap chap. It reports human waste to other residents so they can avoid it on the way to work. It is being known for aggressive panhandling and drug use. On the other side of mark benehof are people who say no, including the mayor. We have already spent so much money trying to extend ourself to the homeless population. One thing the mayor has specifically said she is worried about, that people from other areas will migrate from San Francisco and challenge it further. We talked about this a few months ago with seattle and amazon and starbucks fought against successfully, having this kind of tax put on their companies to deal with the program of homelessness. The difference here with San Francisco is that citizens have put this to vote on the ballot. Thats different than elected officials, which is what happened in seattle. This may have more tracks. Twitter ceo and founder, jack dorsey, very interesting, twitter, itself, remains neutral. Jack dorsey, himself, has made statements in the past saying, im sure that the mayor is handling this. The mayor is against raising this tax on companies. It is six of one and half dozen of the other. A lot of the Business Leaders say, it is hard for us to recruit if we are recruiting people to these cities where they dont feel safe or their families dont feel safe. The other side is this is not businesss responsibility and that the money that has been given towards addressing these problems in the past has not been used efficiently. We will see what happens on november 6th. Neil there you, deirdre. California gets the representation for being the bluest of blue states. It isnt entirely. In all the unlikely of places, specially red places in california, democrats hope to go for the kill. The question is, can they get that . Hillary vaughn in huntington beach, california, with the latest on how the economy is playing into all of this. Hey, hillary. Reporter hey, neil, tariffs and taxes are two big issues on voters minds as they head to the polls in less than 22 days. Orange county has been reliably red for decades. It is a place with very high state and local taxes and a hot bed for the tech industry. Democrats are trying to use trumps tax reform and his trade fight with china to turn Orange County blue. Californias 45th district is at the dead center of it all. Democrat, katy porter, challenging mimi walters, republican congresswoman. She tells me her opponent is trying to win votes by pretending to be a moderate. My opponent has to appease a good portion of my voters in order to win this election. She is flipflopping and telling you whatever she wants to tell you depending on who she is talking to. It is very disingenuous for her to say she wants to work on a bipartisan basis. Reporter some democrats are running way from liberal leadership in d. V. Katy parker is a protege of Elizabeth Warren and she is distancing herself from others. When im on the campaign trail, i dont hear a lot about the same issues. Folks are not talking about impeachment or kavanaugh. They are talking about health care and the fact that californians are going to owe more taxes come 2019 because of the tax plan. Mimi walters actually says the nomination and appointment of Supreme Court Justice Brett kavanaughs a huge voting issue here. She tells me it brought some democrats through their doors. Neil . Neil lets get the read from lee meringhoff, the director of the Marist Institute for public opinion. He knows who the democratic nominee will be. And how it is all going to turn out. Neil how is it looking within a nanosecond after the midterm votes are counted . Whats interesting, there are going to be polls and polls. There have been National Polls pointing to 2020. Barack obama was not mentioned in the polls at this point. If you have a joe biden, a bernie sanders, these are people who are going to score higher. I recall many years ago, a Rudy Giuliani was in the front of the pack. That didnt pan out the way he had intended. It is the names you dont know that emerge, jimmy carter in 76. You are quite right. Let me ask you a little bit about Elizabeth Warren. She did this dna test to confirm she has some native american blood. I didnt get the details on how much. Enough to say this is not an issue for you, mr. President , to call me pocahontas. How many do you make of the timing of that . You always want to put something up front and try to get rid of it so it doesnt become a campaign issue. If she ends up running against donald trump, i would venture to say it will be repeated by donald trump regardless of a dna test. Neil you hazard be careful making bet making bets. There is a great deal of passion on the left. It looks like she is running. Could a divided field benefit one candidate more than the other . Thats a really interesting question. Donald trump benefited from a big crowd only two years ago. Cant help but think what would have happened to Hillary Clinton had she had the kind of crowd that trump had. However, thats the mix there. Could someone emerge . Michael bloomberg, if there is a big pile on one side and a big pile on the other . Neil he is registered as a democrat. Are we giving odds on this . I dont think anybody is better than 101. Neil one thing donald trump did, he insfird a lot of people that heretofore who wouldnt have considered running, including some business titans, like michael bloomberg. I think people know it is wide open. You have an incumbent president whose Approval Rating at best is in the low 40s. Neil it has been ticking up. Is that going to influence the midterms . If a president has below 50 in the past, they lose around 35 seats in the house. Having said that, that may not hold this time, because a lot of things about donald trump dont necessarily hold based on prior trends. The president s Approval Rating is probably the best single indicator along with the enthusiasm we are seeing one way and another on the part of democrats and republicans going into the midterms. Lots of interesting races around the country. Neil a lot of people get worked up on the left about taking out the president and trying to make sure he doesnt get another chance. Their hatred and vitriol gets ahead of them. It is kind of like a reverse tea party in 2010, the reaction to 2008 and barack obama. It was strong and potent. Neil now it boomerangs. You have to watch that. Neil will be the economy be an issue . I think the economy will be an issue for the midterms. Health care is a big issue specially for democratic voters. Republicans, it is about jobs and the economy. The economy matters president ially until it doesnt. We have had instances with truman and johnson and george bush in 2006 where the economy was good. Neil real quickly your thoughts on how the market gyrations will play out. Is it shortlived . Instability works two ways. Sometimes you like to then stay with the horse thats running around the track or if you are really worried, you might want to look differently. If you think about 2008, the big crash really moved voters in a dramatic way to obama in the closing hours. Having said that, of course, this is still three weeks away. If we have learned anything in the last couple of years, bets are off. Very typical making predictions, specially about the future. I think that probably holds true. You and i can remember these names. Lee, you are an encyclopedia. Neil the president is also speaking with the fema director and the governor of georgia. Lets listen in. The agriculture industry as well, the timing of the storm is pretty tough as the secretary would tell you. Our focus is sustaining. We try to help the infrastructure and the private sector, trying to get them access to fix the infrastructure and get the power back on. I believe it is up to about 90 back on. We still have a ways to go. Communications is coming back online too. Now, it is about taking care of people, sir, and making sure we get them out of shelters and into longer term housing for those that have lost their homes. Our staff is pushing forward in the field. We will continue to register. We need people to register with 1800621fema or disasterassistance. Gov. Poet. Thank you very much. They are not thrilled about this hurricane. They havent seen anything like it. Possibly, there hasnt been anything like that, winds possibly 200 miles an hour, foundations, everything gone. We saw some areas that were hard to believe, actually hard to believe. The people are incredible in florida, georgia, alabama. North carolina, South Carolina went through a lot two weeks ago. They got a little bit of the remnants of this one too. Incredible people. I want to thank fema. First responders, the Law Enforcement has been so incredible. Secretary nielsen, you worked so hard. Have you gone to sleep in the last two weeks . I dont think so. Your whole team has been fantastic. Governor, i would like to thank you on behalf of the country what a job you have done in georgia and rick scott in florida, likewise. The two of you have really done something. I just spoke to the great governor of alabama. She is in there fighting and we have terrific people running these states. I want to thank you very much. Please say compliments to everybody, from myself, the first lady. Secretary purdue used to be the governor of georgia. You know more about agriculture than any human being. He doesnt like it when a hurricane comes in to the crops. They just wiped them out. That doesnt make you feel too good. He doesnt like to see that. Sonny perdue has been an incredible secretary of agriculture. Sonny, how about saying a little bit . I want to reiterate what the governor said. Your administration is making a reputation for being more connected to your state and local partners than any other administration, commissioner black, governor, and ive experienced it as well all the way from local Community Leaders to state legislators to governors, people you have appointed are reaching out here making people feel like we have truly one government. That is a wonderful thing to be a part of that. I want to thank you for allowing us to do that. It makes a difference can when people undergo situations like this, not even in disaster are they connected. When they go through like this, they feel like they have a life line to fema, to secretary nielsen, to any of your administration and to you particularly. We want to thank you. Im glad to be a part of that. Commissioner black and i toured some of the area yesterday. Tremendous losses. Our farmers are resilient. We are going to help them. You are going to help them. They will be okay. President trump let me ask you this. When brock says generational damage, what does that mean . As we were talking coming up, on these trees, they start bearing about seven years after and dont reach economic profitability for ten years. Thats half a generation. These farmers, many percentages of pine trees across the country, across the state out of southwest georgia were toppled. Those that werent toppled, the nuts have blown off. If they were looking for bumper crops in cotton, pecans and peanuts, the devastation there is heartbreaking. You will talk to farmers later today. Thank you. God bless you. Thank you for being here. We lead the nation in peanut production, pecan production, Forest Product production. We are leaders in vegetable production. Today, we are leading in destruction, unfortunately. We will rebuild it. I have members from the Governmental Relations from the white house. I had two telephone calls while the wind were still blowing. Ive had good fortune the last year and a half or so to be in and out some in places where folks who do the job i do never had the opportunity. The secretary used to say, the secretary of agriculture, when he was the governor, we get to come in the front door. Often times, it has been the back door. It has not been that way with you. We are grateful to you. We are going to continue work. We have an Outstanding Group of people. President trump i will look forward to that and look forward to seeing some of the farmers. They are great people. Jimmy carter, peanut farmer and a nice man. I have met him on numerous occasions. If you think about that, thats what he did. Peanuts. Thats great. Do you have any questions . The American Red Cross is a partner as well. It takes a whole community to overcome these types of disaster. It is not only neighbor helping neighbor all the way to the federal government but if you are working for a volunteer organizations, they do a whole lot to help temporary shelter people with whats going on. We couldnt do it without you, thank you. We have a great partnership. President trump thank you very much. I know your company well. Im not surprised. Any questions . Reporter you just left florida. Are you concerned there is a possibility that up to 17 stealth bombers were damaged . President trump i am not hearing that. Many were flown out prior to the hurricane. The engines were taken out and they are doing a whole lot of heavy repairing work. We are going to have a full report. There was some damage, not nearly as bad as we first heard. Reporter are you concerned about how much that might cost . President trump im always concerned about cost. Why didnt they take them out . This hurricane happened very quickly. It was a storm. Over the last couple of years, we had more. Hopefully, we will go back to many years where we have none. We have been hit by the weather. There is no question about it. It is interesting. The worst of all times, 1890 and 50 years ago was the last really great one. If it gets worse, i have never seen anything where houses were ripped off with the foundations. You see, the foundations are actually taken. It is pretty amazing. We have to get it taken care of. Reporter last night in your comments about climate change, you said there is something there. Previously, in the past, you called it a hoax. President trump there is something there, manmade or not. There is something there. It is going to go back and forth. There is something there. Again, 50 years ago, it was brutal. 1890s were brutal. You have different times. The main thing is, we have to make sure that things get back to perfect condition. Thats what we are doing. We have tremendous support from the farmers. The farmers really got hurt, sfegs specially in georgia. Florida was housing and other things. Over here, the farmer, their crops were up rooted. That doesnt mean we have to put every one of our businesses out of business. That doesnt mean we cant compete or we are not allowed to compete with other nations that arent doing what we are doing. We are competing very well. Our nation is the hottest nation economically on the planet by far. We are very big. We have up 10. 7, 11. 7 trillion since i got elected. Nobody thought that would be possible. Other nations, as an example, china, not that i wish this, but they are down many trillions of dollars. We are doing really well. President trump i didnt consider anything. I am considering changing the immigration laws. We have the worst, as the governor can tell you, as everybody can tell you, from your time as governor. We have the worst immigration laws and the dumbest immigration laws in the history of the world. There is no country in the world that has such stupid laws as we do. Somebody comes into our country. They put one foot on our land and we have to bring them through a long Court Process or we have catch and release, which is even worse. We catch them. We catch them, we find out they are a criminal. We write them up. Then, we release them and tell them to come back in three, four years for a court case. They never show up. We have the dumbest here because of the democrats, because they want to have these laws that way. It is so crazy. We are getting them changed one by one. We are very tough on the border. We have to be. We are looking at all immigration laws. They are a disaster, a laughing stock all over the world. This country will never be a laughing stock when im running it. We have made a lot of progress. Thank you all very much. Thank you. Neil some interesting news developments. The president in georgia right now. Badly battered by hurricane michael. In the course of that, weighing in on reports from the newsroom and the wall street journal sang the saudi government is considering issuing a statement outright that rogue operatives mightve killed jamaal khashoggi, the Washington Post columnist, by mistake during interrogation. The journal quotes, went wrong, horribly wrong. The president awaiting the details of that. Made a brief reference to the investigations going on at the Saudi Embassy in istanbul. Between turkish authorities and saudi authorities, whether that holds and indeed is the case and whether that could affect attendance on the part of those who were planning to go to a big saudi conference over the weekend, next weekend, is anyones guess. The president saying his treasury secretary Steven Mnuchin has time to decide on that but as of now he is going. This is a big sort of a financial confab being orchestrated by king saul te kings son. We will get details shortly. I would be remiss if i left out another big news development, the passing of an american icon, an iconic name. Sears, of course people remember that so well. The sears book where you would get everything you wanted and anything you wanted. That was then, this is now, in bankruptcy now. Fox Business Network jeff flock in chicago where it all got started. Jeff. The sun is setting on the old sears headquarters here on the west side of chicago. That was the original sears tower back there behind me, built in 1905. I tell you, with his much as the president had on his plate today, as perhaps you just heard, he also found time today to weigh in on the passing of sears. Take a listen to the president. President trump when i was growing up, it was a big deal. Its very sad what happened. Very, very sad. When you look at that whole filing they did last night, to me its very sad. Somebody thats of my generatio generation, Sears Roebuck was a big deal. So its very sad to see. It was the internet of its day, the amazon of its day. In more recent times, take a look at the losses, the numbers. Last profitable year, 2008. They made 625 million in the Second Quarter of that year. This year, they lost half a billion. Unfortunately they have pensions that are underfunded. That means we, the taxpayers, they pensions benefit guarantee corporation will need to pick up the slack on that one. I leave you with perhaps the stock. Sears was a member of the dow. Neil, perhaps you remember, less than 20 years ago. In 1999, they were still a member of the dow. Amazon, 77 up in the last year. Sears, the loss will be 100 when we are done. Neil its amazing when you think about iconic names in the past year, like sears and toys r us. I just tells you something about when youre on top of the world, stay humble, you know . We are old is what it tells us. Neil [laughs] thats another thing. Thank you. Thank you, jeff. Its a reminder. We keep seeing it. Does anyone remember prodigy, aol, eastman kodak, ruling the photography world and poohpoohing this thing called digital photography. Humbled by progress. Its humanizing. Its repetitive. Will fall the impact on the leaders now. The five is next. Greg i am greg gutfeld with katie pavlich, juan williams, pete hegseth, dana perino. The five. Senator Elizabeth Warren just released a campaign ad disguised as a dna test or maybe it was a dna test disguised as a campaign ad.
