Janice dean not digging any of it. And Rick Leventhal on how fliers are dealing with all of it. We begin with molly. Reporter hey, well, as you can see, the snow is really pounding down. This is as hard as its been over the course of this storm so far. Its not letting up at all. Were expecting things to get lighter on this evening, but not yet. Were expecting 6 to 12 inches in the area of boston. Out west of the city in that area that got up to 3 feet of snow, they could get up to 18 inches. So, imagine that. And heres the problem finding a place to put it all. This is one of the many sidewalks in town giant piles everywhere. And the roads really dont look that much better. We had a chance to get out. Weve driven around quite a bit today. And its rough. Its rough on the highways, its rough on the side roads. Were seeing more snow plows go by today thankfully, than drivers. Most people staying in taking advantage of what is a snow day for a lot of kids. A lot of kids off school today, and a good day to have it off, because last night the big patriots victory a lot of people certainly may have enjoyed a little extra sleep, if they managed to get it today. Tomorrow, though the parade, the celebration victory parade is a go, 11 00 a. M. In boston. People will be able to come in welcome the new England Patriots back from their super bowl win. And that parades going to go right through the heart of the city. So, theyve got a lot of cleaning up to do. Once the snow finally slows down a little bit. But theyre trying to keep up with it and get ready for tomorrows parade. Neil . Molly, thank you very much. Now to janice on whether this latest winter blast will smash more records. Janice, weve got to stop meeting like this and youve got to stop causing this. Whats going on . Can we blame the groundhog today . No, im blaming you, janice, sorry. Im going to blame the groundhog. Lets look at this record snowfall. Fifth biggest for chicago, over 19 inches. Detroit, the third biggest for them, over 16 inches here, and then now its snowing on molly line. And we could see another snowstorm in her forecast as we get into thursday and friday. Look at the snow that we already have on the ground, over a foot in the chicago area, across detroit and cleveland. Then look at new england. Oh my goodness, 24 inches plus and we have more snow on the way. Not anywhere to put it, unfortunately, and its going to be cold so were not going to see a lot of melting in new england. However, areas like philadelphia, d. C. New york, im worried here because weve got a lot of moisture on the roadways, on the sidewalks and on the bridges and we have very cold temperatures coming overnight tonight and into tomorrow, so were going to have something called a flash freeze, meaning that the roads and the power lines are going to freeze very quickly once the temperatures go down and thats going to mean very dangerous travel overnight tonight and into tomorrow. So Winter Weather advisories have been posted all the way down towards the delmarva and then Winter Weather warnings again for the new england area where we could get an additional 6 to 12 inches of snow. Windchills, its going to be dangerously cold overnight tonight. And as i mentioned, those wet surfaces, were going to have rapid freezing so flash freeze for those areas. And again travel is not recommended throughout the evening and into the morning commute. And neil, i know okay we cant blame the groundhog for this next one but i just want make sure people are prepared, because we could see another storm system thursday into friday, bringing, yes, more snow. Sorry. I dont know how you live with yourself, young lady. All right, your damage here is done. All right, janice dean. Be prepared the weather machine. Ive go to give her credit though, she saw this coming, warned about it. So, if you werent ready for it well, thats you, isnt it . Pretty much. Now to Garrett Tenney in chicago, where they are digging out from nearly 20 inches of snow. Oh, boy. Garrett. Reporter yeah, neil officials did not take any precautions or rather, they took lots of precautions here with this snowstorm coming. I want you to look at these main roads. 500 snow plows and salt trucks were on the street all yesterday and into this morning. Thats what it looks like here so all the main roads, theyre good. Here on the side streets, down in the neighborhoods, much different story. You can see this is a very common sight today, these streets. The cars that as they try to come out, they just get stuck because there is so much snow here in the street. People have been trying to dig their way out all day, but really, the side streets i mean, im going to walk over here in the snow. You can get a feel for how deep this is. This is going up to my knees here, and this is what folks are trying to dig out of. With the snow drift, it is much more than this in some areas. So, folks are out here. They say theyre waiting for the plows to come. Officials say its going to be some time because there is so much snow all throughout the city. But just as janice pointed out, as soon as they get dug out, the snowstorm is going to be coming in again later on this week. Neil . Incredible. Garrett, thank you very much. Well, pack a bag and just wait and wait and wait. More than 5,000 flights either canceled or delayed just due to this storm. To Rick Leventhal at laguardia airport, where he has now set up an office on this mess. Rick, whats the latest there . Reporter yeah, neil the numbers are staggering and theyve been going up all day. According to flightaware laguardias one of the worst offenders with more than 600 Flights Canceled at this one airport today alone. Nearly 600 at newark and about 150 at jfk. These lines behind me are not to get on planes. These lines are for customer assistance. These people are trying to get out of town and are having a really tough time. According to flight aware, with the 5,000 Flights Canceled, thats a million seats impacted affecting more than 600,000 travelers nationwide dealing with delays and cancellations. New york did not get a lot of snow in this storm, but the storm was bad enough to force airlines to start grounding planes as early as yesterday afternoon and many of those aircraft never made it here to new york and many more obviously are not making it out. Although the ground crews are doing what they can to keep the runways and the taxiways clear. But the snow keeps falling and more is expected, as you heard janice say through this evening. Meanwhile, a rough commute for riders on the 7 subway train in new york. One train lost power above ground on tracks in queens this morning. That stranded that packed train for 2 1 2 hours with five other trains stuck behind it. Commuters were shoulder to shoulder on that train from 9 00 this morning until 11 30 when it was finally rescued. The mta is still investigating the cause. Not confirming its weatherrelated, but it was 30 degrees with a nasty mix of snow and freezing rain and sleet this morning. As you know, neil, we have six more weeks of winter left, so were not, obviously, done yet. Nice. All right, rick, thank you very much. Rick leventhal, of course reporting from his new offices at laguardia airport. Well, if these winter storms dont drive up gas prices certainly this will. The United Steelworkers Union staging strikes at no fewer than nine u. S. Refineries. Those refineries produce about 10 of just this nations gasoline, and that could have folks Digging Deeper at the pump. How much do you think, when all is said and done, phil . You know just today, neil, we saw gasoline prices on the new york futures go up 7 cents a gallon and thats up almost 19 cents a gallon from the low that we saw on friday. So even though this hasnt really affected output of gasoline to this point, prices are already reacting. The reason why wholesalers are very nervous because they have contracts to supply gasoline to their gasoline stations, and they have to get gasoline. So, when theres word of a strike, concerns about a disruption in supply, they have to buy quickly, and thats exactly what they did. So, youre going to see this impact from the strike at the pump in very short order. I wouldnt be surprised to see prices going up today. So, when you look at it in the aggregate, i mean, many people say that they were seizing on this strike as an excuse to, you know, at least stop selling, that it was overdone, and that this issue in and of itself isnt driving it but more like fundamentals. What do you say . Well, i think its a combination. Theres no doubt that oil made a major turnaround on friday from a major support point. Weve seen massive cuts in Capital Spending in the u. S. Energy industry as well as one of the biggest drops in history in the u. S. Rate count. So were seeing the Energy Industry contract dramatically because the crash in price. But, so, the timing of the strike couldnt be any worse for the consumers, because prices were already on their way up. You create that extra fear thats going to drive prices even higher, and thats going to take more money out of americans pockets. All right. Thank you, my friend. Phil flynn in the middle of it all. At least we didnt put you outside. We didnt do that. The dow came off the worst month in february for blue chips in a year. The cycles fear that if it starts off slowly the rest of the year its low. That did not happen last year, but most years it does happen. Conversely, if the market starts off on a winning note, the rest of the year looks good. They dont say anything about how the first day of trading in february goes. But growing optimism that greece will avoid a default and somehow, grudgingly, will meet whatever the new requirements are to pay back money that it has been lent by international banks, such as the imf and the world bank, who knows, but thats what theyre seizing on today as a point of optimism and wonder about the 96point runup that we did see today. They dont know that though. They just assign that to this rally like its gospel. Im passing along what theyre saying and i think they made that up. Meantime what if i told you Punxsutawney Phil has nothing on the president of the United States . Because forget six more weeks of winter. Try ten more years of spending more than we have. Look me in the eyes, buddy. Tell me what it is. Think phil is feisty try the president , out with a 4 trillion spending plan that will really leave you shivering. Yes a shadow i see. You can start this winter, sixmoreweeksofwinter. And if you think phils got one up on the president think again. Yourelosingyourshirt, because this budget is predicting ten years of tax hikes totaling some 2 trillion smackers. Hoping the president would be more like new yorks mayor and groundhog chuck last year, just drop it altogether. Of course thats no laughing matter. As we know, that chuck lost his life as a result of the mayor dropping him, but i digress. Oh, my goodness. Youre saying now with the president s budget were looking at many, many years of trouble, arent we . Well, if it were to go through, yes, we would be, but i dont think it will go through, neil. I mean, he is the perennial groundhog. I mean, he just comes back with the same thing every time. It just doesnt stop. Bill murray has nothing on him. But you know, at least bill murray after a while realized i was repeating and ive got to stop repeating but he said this forecast sees deficits staying around 2. 5 of gdp over the next ten years, as if thats great progress, because any deficit, as smart guys like you remind me, gets added to the debt which is not coming down i take it. No, and i dont think Interest Rates will stay this low forever, neil. I mean, all the debt held by the public is short term. The fed owns almost all of the longterm debt. So as soon as Interest Rates start rising they will rise very much as an expense of the federal government. They wont have the longdelayed effect. So, if rates rise and you have all this debt sitting out there, youre going to have a serious deficit problem just by interest on the National Debt alone. What about offsetting that . I know i sound like a literal apologist here, that the rates are rising because the economy is picking up and that means we would have more revenues coming in. You say what . That would be wonderful if thats true. I hope thats true, id love to see see it. But what youve seen is the real yield, with what they call the tips shield the inflationadjusted yield is dropping to almost zero again, the tenyear. And thats ridiculous. Thats really the best forecast of the economy given the policies this president is putting forward. He doesnt reflect in any way, shape or form what happened in november. I mean, we took the house, we took the senate. We have all the state houses. 31 governors are republican. 31 legislators if you count nebraska, are republican. This Republican Senate and this Republican House is going to last as far as the eyes can see, and yet, he still just goes through with the same old same old. Well, i dont know about as far as the eye can see. Republicans are on defense two years from now, right, in the senate. But youre right, i know what youre saying that he is fighting the election results. But he does say in this budget that he gets 1. 8 trillion in deficit reduction over the next ten years. Is that to say that even with the escalating debt it would be 1. 8 trillion worse without what hes doing because that doesnt make sense . No, no. What he assumes is that all of his taxes give you revenues and that hes going to get all of his taxes passed and theyre all going to come through and theres not going to be any supply side response to it but let me just tell you, thats not the way the world works. If you tax people who work and you pay people who dont work, which is what his proposal is youre going to find a lot of people not working many more than you expected. All right, then, if he is already saying goodbye to the sequestration of cuts, which as youve indicated when we first came up with them, they were kind of a mandypandey sense of budget discipline but better than nothing i think were your words. Yes, they were. But hes abandoned those, because austerity seems, i dont know, so 2013, as i said. Then what . What do we do . Because the republicans arent really fighting him tooth and nail on it so what does that mean . Well the sequestrations also included defense, as you know. Right. And given the isis and all that, the republicans would really like to relax the rules on spending for defense. And of course whats really helpful is that sequestration keeps us from spending more. If you look at an economy Government Spending is taxation. I mean we dont have a tooth fairy working at the treasury anymore. Whenever you spend, you have to take it from someone else. And that is taxation, as my colleague, milton freeman, repeated time and time again, and as obama seems to not get time and time again. If we can keep Government Spending declining as a share of gdp, which it has been for the last four or five years as the stimulus spending has worn off, if we can keep that happening we can keep this economy growing. If we went the way of obama, i think wed have a big, sharp downturn again. Do you think that well ever see a time when a president republican or democrat, submits a balanced budget . This one has a half trillion dollars in the red. Yes i do think well see that. And neil seriously, and i know weve talked a lot about it you and i, is that its not a republican or democrat issue. Oh, no, no. Its not a liberal or conservative, a right wing or left wing. Its economics. And i think it could well be a democrat who proposes a balanced budget or a republican. Once they get the growth model in their minds, once they understand that taxes do deter people from working and producing and taking risk once they understand that, then we could get a balanced budget but well only get it through economic growth. And it starts with the president submitting one you know . Yeah, it really does. And then it has the Congress Following through with it and then it has the legislature going on and spreading to the states. Youre right. You know, with reagan, it took a long time to get this machine rolling, but once you got it rolling, it didnt stop. I mean it went right through bill clinton. It stopped well, unfortunately, with w, it stopped in 2001. Youre right. Youre right. But that was then and were doubling on it now, but thank you. Its always a pleasure. Thank you, neil. Its a pleasure being with you. And enjoy groundhog day. Its one of the days i really feel welcome in this world, the little groundhog that i am. I hear you. Some news there. Different groundhog, different story. Thats true. Think about this, folks, they just beheaded another hostage, and were overinflating terror groups importance . You know, that is not code pink saying that. Thats the president saying that. The colonel who says thats it, enough of that. At ally bank no branches equals great rates. Its a fact. Its got beheading down, but is heading down the wrong direction . It appears isis is in a crisis, coming from no less than isis, now scrambling to get its followers on the same page. Katherine has more on whats got the group so nervous. According to a message traffic review by fox news the isis leader and spokesman issued a warning to their followers in the hours before the execution video of japanese journalist kenji goto was released. In a highly unusual move, isis leader Abu Bakar Al Baghdadi and the spokesman, Abed Rabbo Mansour hadi, said only four groups were authorized to speak on their behalf with any messages. The translation reads in part that the two men do not have accounts on social media. No one has the right to speak on behalf of the Islamic State or its emir or its spokesperson. This Development Comes after more than a week of sometimes confusing, sometimes contradictory reports regarding three Islamic State hostages and this al qaeda suicide bomber held by the jordanian government. Isis says its willing to swap the woman for a jordanian pilot in isis custody, but no proof of life was given. And over the weekend isislinked social media accounts began retweeting images from december 24th the date when the pilot was captured. A counterterrorism source says isis is tempting to further taunt the jordanian government. And a short time ago, the state department offered little on his status. We have a range of discussions that are ongoing with the government of jordan. We dont outline those publicly, given this is an ongoing situation. Isis also releasing a new video purporting to show the execution of a jordanian intelligence officer. While its not possible to independently verify, the man appears to have been beaten and heavily drugged before he was executed, neil. Thank you, catherine. Youre welcome. Maybe isis shouldnt worry, despite what catherines reporting, because you hear no less than president obama tell it, were all but playing into its hands. What i do insist on is that we maintain proper perspective and that we do not provide a victory to these terrorist networks by overinflating their importance and suggesting in some fashion that they are an existential threat to the United States or the world order. Overinflating these guys importance . Retired colonel danny mcknight. Colonel, wow, all this time, i thought they were a big deal. I guess not. What did you make of what he said right there . Well, i dont know what he means or what he could even possibly be meaning when he relates overinflation to what isis is all about and that terrorist group, and thats what they are truly terrorists. And to say that there is an overinflation, that it will make them, you know feel better or something, i dont know what it is, neil. Thats the most ridiculous thing i think ive ever heard. And for the first time hearing overinflation related to terrorists sort of boggles my mind. Now i tried to give every bit of the doubt colonel thinking maybe he would think about the number. Isis is not taking out nearly the number we think. But even allowing for that, it is a group that runs amuck and defied not only u. S. Air raids but western power threats. And you can name any western power, japan the latest to find out the hard way. Well, if we think that we say that theyre overinflated, that that means they might back off or Something Like that, i think it will be just the opposite. And what youve said is the truth, and that is were putting ourselves in jeopardy by saying that were not going to really take them serious. And thats what it sounds like the president s trying to say is, you know were not going to take them serious. We dont want to overinflate the situation and make them feel like theyre really going to have an impact on us. They are having an impact already, not on us only, but the entire world. What are we getting in return for not bringing them to the level of being the big threat that the media says they are a lot of us say they are . Were not calling islamic extremists just that islamic extremists. What are we getting from that colonel . I often try to think there is a reasoning behind this strategy for doing what we do, for saying what we say. What is it . What am i missing . Well, only thing i can come up with that even is reasonably possible in the thoughts of saying that is maybe there is a belief by our government, those people making that decision to say overinflate, that well make them feel like were not really you know, going to fight you. We dont want to do that. So, were not going to overinflate this situation and make a big deal out of it and maybe our government, maybe our president thinks that that will make them go away. The last time i checked isis, theyre not going away any time soon. They may not be doing some of the things we thought they were going to do, but they have not gone away. And until they are totally gone, our country and others are not safe. Do you think we need troops on the ground or troops taking on isis, you know man to man or whatever, that thats the only way to solve this . John mccain was saying much to that effect. You know, of course from your somalia experience and famously portrayed in black hawk down, that that can come back to boomerang as well. Where do you stand on this . Well, what i think should happen, i think we should take the fight to them, because whats going to happen if we dont, in my opinion, is theyre going to bring the fight to us. When they see us sort of being passive about it i think they will see the opportunity, and at some point somehow, somewhere it might not be 9 11 level, but somethings going to happen in our country and then where do we make the decision to stop it . And but do you need a lot of im concerned about that. Im sorry, colonel, do you need a lot of troops to do that . In president clinton in office, it was that he didnt commit enough troops to help you out in mogadishu and that you need a lot of troops to make that statement or youre going to be overrun by these guys and therein lies the dilemma, that americans have very little appetite for that again. What do you say . Well thats true, america really doesnt want to deal with that after what we had to deal with with iraq and afghanistan. I understand that, but at the same time, when i think about the fact that i have five grandkids, three of them under the age of 5, 5 and under, i worry about their future neil and i worry about their future being right here in our own country. And if we dont stop it i honestly believe, unfortunately, theyre coming here, and we will see a terrible situation happen somewhere. We have got to stop it. And id rather stop it over there than in the streets of orlando, florida, or something of that nature. Colonel danny mcknight, thank you. Thank you more for your service. I always appreciate that as do we all. Thank you, neil. Danny mcknight. All right, mitt is no longer looking at 2016, but 2016 is still all about the look. So, why are donors still looking . President ial historian doug weed says its all about having the look. And doug theres certainly something to it because i was talking to a number of donors, i have a big deal, so they gravitate to me, and to a man or woman, what they were saying, all kidding aside, is things like looks and how you com port yourself in public matter to us. They matter how youre going to look as president on the world stage. Thinking about that and Chris Christie and the famous cowboys owners suite dance im thinking, does this equal president ial comportment or are these guys looking at something i didnt see . What do you think . Yeah its very true. You know Malcolm Gladwell wrote that book blink. People make quick decisions. Thats right. And its very sad. But unfortunately, they make quick decisions, most people about who will be president. And so the handlers make sure that their candidate looks as president ial as possible. You know most people watching this right now are not wearing suits and ties, but if you and i didnt, we wouldnt be on tv very long. Youve got to look the part. Indeed. Some of my viewers arent wearing anything at all which is a whole other story. You know one thing i thought of, though talking about how appearances can change your impressions. I think when a young, massachusetts senator named john kennedy went up against Richard Nixon in a president ial debate, many doubted, i guess, of whether he had the gravitas for the job or the experience for the job. Yet, on the same stage with nixon, he came out okay. Ronald reagan much the same. You know, 20 years later with jimmy carter that he was not quite the crazy cowboy the media had portrayed him to be or certainly carter portrayed him to be. What do you make of that and how important making a convincing image on a National Stage is . Yeah, thats youre very, very right. And we didnt mention fdr but fdr, as you know, couldnt even walk, but he would effect this walk to the podium at the Democrat National convention and it was planned and choreographed in advance. He would use his upper strength and braces on his legs and they would post someone at each stage along the walkway to the podium it wasnt on tv, but was shown on news reels and in movie theaters, and his son said afterwards that he had bruises all over his body where his dad would grip him as he would effect this walk to show that he could walk. And you mentioned kennedy looked tan, playing football but he was in great pain absolutely. And was ill. So, its very important how they look. And they know that. They have to have the look of leadership. Christies got to win at the polls, hes got to lose on the bathroom scales, if hes going to be president. You know, that means that, by that man, Winston Churchill never would have made it. And he was a different type of character altogether. So it was radio. It was radio. It was radio. Youre absolutely right. But im wondering today the medias very unforgiving on all these plastic, shallow issues. Im doing a segment on it right now. Im wondering then of a president ial tear that youve seen, without giving away much, doug who is going to have the most uphill climb in that sense trying to convince these donors and these others for whom appearance means a lot fairly or not . Theyre going to have a tough sell. Well, its a very unusual time. Its still early so you have rand paul wearing jeans with a suit coat. Hes appealing to young people like clinton did early in his campaign. Hillary clinton, you have already were hearing shes got to have a spine like maggie thatcher, but shes already come off as a little caustic and tough and shrill in her earlier years, so theyre now going to try to morph her into a kinder, gold golden grandma kindly, wise person. So, theyre crafting those images now. But its tough to find one person who looks like the president this early. Its always that case before they go into the white house. Youre right but sometimes i think of ronald reagan, not that he didnt seem to care what people thought of him. I mean, he says im a right wing, im a conservative guy, this is what i am, this is who i am. I wear a suit everywhere i go. I wear a jacket in the oval office. You know in other words this was his persona and that was it. Now, im not denying the fact that he was an actor and very good at messages and everything else, but how important is it and how forgiving are americans if the guy or woman theyre looking at just says accept me as i am, warts and all . I think that they can be unforgiving. They want they can dress the way they want to, but they expect you, if youre going to be my leader, to look the part. Wow. And reagan knew that. He understood that. Interesting. Doug, well have to see what i want to pick your brain off air, because i think you just held back a lot, but thats because youre a gentleman. Wasnt that reputation always in question for them . Well, it was for belichick less so for brady. This is the first time his reputations really come into question. But now youve got two things. One time its an exception, two times its a pattern. And i think this follows him for a long time. And actually the stakes are higher follows brady. Follows brady, certainly follows belichick and now the nfl as well. Theyve got to solve this. What do you think of that . One way or another, who knows what comes from this study. 11 out of 12 footballs were deflated. Something was up. Can we agree that something funny happened . I dont really care as a football fan who did it. Im going to assume it was from the top because i dont think somebody at the lower levels make that decision. What will be of it . I dont know. The cover of todays new york post, how cheat it is. Apparently were learning now its the most watched super bowl in history. Unbelievable. 49 of homes with televisions were tuned in last night to the super bowl. So, the american people, obviously, have moved on but i dont think you call into question whether or not tom brady is one of the best quarterbacks of all time or whether this is one of the greatest teams of all time but you get that asterisk, and that asterisk yeah, but its not like a pete rose asterisk right . No but ty cobb right below pete rose in the alltime list. Not known as a nice guy, but still the second greatest hitter ever. Pete rose another one. Al davis the classic owner of the oakland raiders, just win baby, a renegadelike mentality. And i think maybe what we see here is that belichick maybe he doesnt get on the mt. Rushmore of coaches with lombardi, chuck noll but everybody would want him, right . They would, but again, its football. So, you say down and dirty, thats good. Maybe he doesnt have the squeakyclean edge of a chuck noll who won four super bowls also who just tied yesterday. But i think you have to question what happens at margins, right . The young fans, right . There were kids i was at a Super Bowl Party last night, all the kids are asking whether tom bradys a cheater. How long does that last . Do you think this is of the level of some of the more notable scandals weve had in sports . You know, i think one of the challenges today is that it doesnt matter. We have a very difficult time differentiating between real scandals and fake scandals. They all i think most people can at least grade them, cant they . This is gamesmanship. This is along the lines of gamesmanship, but i dont think its necessarily dheeting. We keep asking the sports fans they need to do this . In baseball, it was always steroids. Did barry bonds need to barry bonds is a guy who basically most people say, did he really need to do this . He was in the hall of fame either way. Lets say brady didnt use deflated balls in the super bowl last night. Anyone. Anyone. So, moot point . I still dont think so, because youve also got all these conspiracy theorists out there who talk about how rarely running backs for the patriots fumble, relative to the rest of the league. They werent that good before they came to the patriots then they never fumble. Are you kidding me . And there will be a constant drum beat you sound like tom brady was in the grassy noll. Im saying thats the way the world works today, we build the narrative to win that many super bowls its saying something, and i dont think you get there by doing little cheating ways. Not to interrupt you, but we are confirming this, the nfl now saying the super bowl drew 114. 4 million viewers, the biggest audience in u. S. Television history. Why, because these are two evenly matched teams there was a lot of hype, the ball controversy . Did it all help . I think the two number one seeds and interestingly, this was almost like an election, where people say lesser of two evils as far as which candidate im picking. The party i was at, we asked who are you rooting for . I dont really want as the game went on seemed like most were rooting for the seahawks. I was in New Hampshire over the weekend and everyone had a patriots jersey on. And i think when grown men and women are doing it i just worry at that level that theyre wearing a jersey. Because they never took it off. It was a deflated ending to the super bowl. Oh touche. Certainly if youre a seahawks fan. Youre looking for something happening and soon . I think now the nfl has to come out and resolve it one way or the other. Form another committee. Yeah form another committee but they dont have the deflated balls to do it. Good. [ laughter ] he said it. No he didnt. And do you think its just washington raising your taxes to pay for obamacare . You might think again. You just got a big bump in miles. All right, to the doctors bill that just keeps piling up up, up. New york now becomes the latest state trying to tack on an Obamacare Tax to help pay for running it in the state. Now if your state is participating, it will likely slap you with extra fees as well. Heres the guy who predicted it all, formerwell. Here is the guy. Well, there is just a lot more. In new york state we have seen the extreme cases of have the doing the super deluxe obamacare. They pay your price because of the taxes. What does that mean . Who foots the bill . The states built the exchange. They have to foot the bill. So problem number one is the government did the classic thing. One years worth of money to get you in and then it is gone. Being a partner with the federal government is like being a partner with ebola. It is the dream of this administration and everyone on the left to make this bigger and bigger and bigger. That means what we have now is not big enough. There are governors like bobby jindal in louisiana who didnt accept the medicaid reimbursement of the money that other governors did even though they were opposed to the program. Is that double spiting yourself making your residents pay more . The medicaid thing looks good on the surface. We will pay 100 of the bill. Federal government picks up 100 until year four when the government picks up 90 and you are on the hook for 10 forever. That was jindals argument against participating. And will the federal government pay 90 forever . There are no guarantees on that. When they did the Medicaid Expansion a lotf people who were previously eligible showed up because they just found out about medicaid. Thats the state. There are a lot of hidden bills coming due and the only way to pay for them state levels for taxes. The office had a hard time quantifying this. More are becoming known now saying this is costing more than originally thought. What do you make of that . I am utterly unsurprised. There are a couple different ways. More people show up than you expected. We have seen that especially with preexisting medicaid. The costs come in higher. The subsidies have to be more when insurance prices go up, we have seen a lot of that. Interesting. Always a pleasure even when you are doing unpleasurable things like this. The guy is a brainiac and saw it all coming. What is the difference between me and the boy who cried wolf. For one thing im not a boy. What if i told you the other was that he started out joking only to reget it. I never was joking. And now all of you are going to regret it. Y your Auto Insurance premium every month on the dot. I know republicans whine about it. The fact is they dont do much about it even when the president submits a budget that comes half a trillion short. It is one thing for him to submit a budget that starts in the red, Congress Offering a little more than lip service. That is me seeing red. Wall street with all the drunken stupor spending has me seeing red. Hit me while i was watching the show this morning. You will catch the darnedest people saying the darnedest things like these financial brainiacs telling maria the deficit debt issues dont matter. I it was said that Interest Rates are so low that we can afford to set and if the rates rise the carrying costs of the debt rise but so do the revenues that come in because they would reflect an improving economy. Maria wasnt the only one taken aback. So was i. It is one thing to dismiss spending more than we have. Wonder the president just abandoned cuts. He obviously figures osterity is so 2013. You would think this economic nur nirvana he talks about are going to last forever. Paul ryan would tell you they wont be great for long. Even the Congressional Budget Office agrees in a few short years the retiring baby boom generation will once again send entitlement spending soaring and all the deficits right along with it. I guess i sound like the boy who cried roof. He cried it so often that after a while folks stopped listening. You are crying wolf. Until a wolf did show up and no one could fathom what was happening because despite all the warnings no one saw it coming. Except the boy. And the wolf am i alone . Am i alone worrying about this . I want you all to email me and tell me how much you are worried about this. Dont email if you tell me you are not worried about this because i dont want you as a viewer. I still do. Im eric bolling along with. This is the five. Super bowl xlix is in the books. Here in the numbers new england 28, seattle 24. A u. S. Television record 114. 4 million americans watched tom brady set all kinds of super bowl marks for passing and seattle coach pete carroll broke a record of his own the dumbest call in the history of sport with 26 seconds left the Seattle Seahawks were in great shape to win backtoback super bowls and then this happened. Play clock at 5
