Maybe do after it the Midterm Election, Don Rosenberg says the president should visit his sons grave and tell him this is the right thing to do. He joins us now. Wd mr. Rosenberg, thank you very much. Thank you. Thank you for having me. I have the letter here, sir, very long letter, a very eloquent letter, very involved letter. Have you heard anything back from the white house . Not a word. Have you heard anything back from anyone . Ive gotten response from various congressmen and people in the media, but no response from anybody in the administration. You described yourself in one publication, sir, as a lifelong, very liberal democrat. Now you have p this conundrum ad this tragedy to deal with and reconcile that. Can you . Well, i can i still consider myself a liberal. I just dont consider myself a democrat anymore. But then again, also dont consider myself a republican or tea party, because theyre all different issues. And this is just one issue. Matter of fact i dont consider what the president is doing as a liberal position at all. I think thats what i am so intrigued about getting you on. You have no political axe to grind. Youre neither arguing republican or democratic position. What youre arguing forgc,÷n ist you 3,000 people who have been killed by illegal immigrants. Theres some debate to the mr. Gallow, who killed your p s, i think hit him when your son was on his motorcycle. He served 43 days in jail for those actions after the crash, but Homeland Security initially decided he could remain in the u. S. Because his crime did not rise to the level of deportation. Is that right . Correct. First, i got involved in this strictly on public safety, getting unlicensed drivers off the road. I never entered intended it to be an immigration issue. My son was killed two weeks after the democrats got slaughtered in the 2010 elections so nobody was talking about Immigration Reform at that time. And we were originally told that row Roberto Gallo was in the country legally. So essentially, what has happened as ive been trying to fight this fight, and one place after another, whether its the california legislature, the governor, and now the federal without a license, which, by the way, kills over 7,000 people a year is a minor offense, i found rather offensive. So when gallo was let out of jail, i had met riff henry waxman, my congressman at the time, because i wanted the guy to be detained and deported, and the word we got back was that he only committed, and i quote, one crime of moral turpitude. Which sounds much betternr thane has only killed one person. Know where he is now . Supposed to be in honduras. He probably is. I have we cant confirm it. Thats why i ask you. No one seems to know for sure where he is, and that really addresses the bigger issue, i think, that concerns you. And that is whether we had handle on this problem. The obama administration, sir, says, look, we have deported 2 million illegals during our stay at the white house. So, were on top of this problem more than any Prior Administration. What do you say to that . Well, first of all, thats its a lie because theyre defining deportations as people turned back at the border. You look at the real numbers of people who went through the deportation process, the president has supported less than his Prior Administration deported less than the Prior Administration and deportations have dropped from hit year to now when theyre practically nothing. Got an email from an i. C. E. That they were being their hours were being cut back because they were told theres nothing for them to do. Wow. I find hard to im sorry. Heres where im confused. The push in this country to give licenses to illegals, and that presumably theyre going to drive and this makes them accountable, this might head off this tragedy that happened to your son. Seems like a screwed up argument to me but youre much closer to this than i. What do you think about the argument, the illegals are here, give them a license, and make some sort of indication they might not be citizens but have to have that. Well, originally about seven months after my son was killed i testified in sacramento against a law they were trying to stop impoundings coors unlicensessed drivers. At the time i was in favor of allowing anybody who could qualify to get a drivers license because i was under the same impression that everybody else is, that getting a license makes you a safer driver. The more research i did, the more i realized that thats not the case. And that most of the deaths caused by unlicensed drivers, 80 are running stop signs, running red lights, driving drunk, almost 50 of the time. What happened in your sons case . He was riding his motorcycle. And he was coming home from law school, it was rush hour traffic. He was going straight, and even by every eye witness testimony, even people on their side, he was going 10milesanhour, gallo had stopped at the crosswalk so he÷ was he wasnt in the intersection. Yg he stopped at the crosswalk. And then at the last second he gunned it trying to make taken, and he hit drew. But he only went 20 feet, so he was going very slowly. My son was going very slowly. And he blew over the front of his flew over the front of his car. Had he stopped i wouldnt be here now. He would have had a couple of bruises but instead he accelerated. Drove over his body. His helmet came off and got stuck under one of the tires, he backed up, drove over him a second time, and then trying to flee, he went forward again, but man had gotten out ofoq his car and stood in front of gallo, and he stopped with his tire on my sons abdomen. He was charged with vehicular homocide, and in a preliminary hearing, which my wife and i illegally were not allowed to attend, because they told us it wasnt happening, which is against california law, the judge decided that because the judge, in his words, id been in a traffic accident, too, and i know how much you can panic. And he reduced the charge to vehicular manslaughter. Even though no one from the defense presented that argument at all. I read in your letter to the president , sir wish i had more time really a very wellwritten letter you say, its now apparent in the coming weeks youll be protecting and offering benefits to another five million illegal aliens. You have been secretly meeting with stakeholders, those who support such a move, but you ask, you are you meeting with who opposes your plan . As you probably know, mr. Rosenberg, indications are the president still might do this but will wait until after a the Midterm Election because he doesnt want to herd democrats chances. What do you make of that. It obviously shows you what a political issue it is. It has nothing to do this has nothing to do with the welfare of people that are here ill illegally and its politics and money on both sides. I he concerned if i do this now it will be an uproar and well lose the senate. So, i dont know what to say except that its absurd that this is going on, and its really absurd its getting very little news coverage, particularly on the media that is more biased on the liberal side. They dont want to touch the story. They wont talk to me. Theyll never respond to anything that i send them. No matter how much i source the information, showing them how wrong they are. So it is politics, and unfortunately, so many other things are as well. Not for theh welfare of the 99. Its for the welfare of the few. Jim rosenberg, as a fellow dad, i cannot imagine your pain. But i want ore viewers to see your letter, and they will, its on our site. Your story, your sons story, this whole story, is outlined there in great detail. In the meantime, thank you very much. Thank you. If i could just add one thing. My site, unlicensed to kill. Org, is out there, too, and you can see from the name of my site it has nothing to do with illegal immigration. Just trying to make my sons death save somebody elses. That was it. You serve your boy proud, sir. Thank you very much. [ male announcer ] when you see everyone in america almost every day, you notice a few things. Like the fact that youre pretty attached to these. Ok, really attached. And thats alright. This is republican senator rand if id been president i would have called a joint session of congress this august, brought everybody back from recess and said this is why isis is a threat to the country. This is why i want to act okay. It seemed a little different now with all due respect to the senator, rand paul, he has always indicated if, if, if it is a direct threat to the United States, all bets off. Isis presumably now given his sentiments is a direct threat to the out all bets off. This is very serious, noelle, you argue the senator is trying to have it both ways. He says, no. In his own words, i looked over something that he had put ute, and number one, he said, i support destroying isis. This is what the g. O. P. , what americans want to hear. Second of all, you drop down and says, i look at the world and consider war realistic his and constitutionally, the word constitutional, which is what libertarians want to see. You drop dowi and he says, still see war as the last resort. What is this from . This is from something he put out today. Latest comments. Right. This is what we think of rand paul. This statement i still see war as the last resort. So he has put all three statements in here, which basically in conclusion says that rand paul stands for everything, he has everything when i was reading the press clip examination the clippings the marin stream media are saying its a clear position but he is divorcing himself from his dad and his views on this. But you argue he is trying to have his cake and eat it, too. Its evident. He is distinguishing that states. Not some nebulous egyptian uprising and we dont know who is on first. That is very popular now to say this now, because they are serious threat. Everybody is on the same boat, saying that we should have been actively, we need to get active. Do you think this comes back to bite it . I think it already hat. He was biting hillary clinton. He was saying that if we had gone taken forceful action against assad a year ago, that we would have put in power the very forces were looking at today. You have to understand why this is important with randqqh paul. Rand paul is considered one of the 2016 front runners. A couple of my donors have given him ms. For his pac. He is raising money for and it has been very aggressive and has done a great job and is looking like a front runner. With this Foreign Policy he has, and with Homeland Security being a major issue, youre going to see a shift in the issues and youre going to see maybe another front runner emerge. Look, you have governor huckabee, one of the strongest allies to israel. You could probably pick up the phone and talk to netanyahu right now. Huckabee was among those saying get everyone in the neighborhood together before we do. You have to look at someone who is not running but has been rumored to say, so ill have to say it, like a mitt romney, with his comments on Foreign Policy. So where hand paul has been surging with fun raising for his pac, the Foreign Policy glitch could get him. If the world done see this as a glitch but more or less as a finetuning of positions about guys maturing into the role and separating themselves from his dad, who fairly seemed unrealistically cook y. Look at chris christie. And bridge gate. Media kept that out and they can keep on doing this. Look what they did to him about the israel deal when he said, cutting off theyre all christie is right. The bridgegate, any of this come back to haunt him . Who is the least damaged. S. The least damaged goods i guess is someone that doesnt have that is not in the media, doing too much at all. I guess from everyone that is a contender, you have to look at someone like huckabee, mitt romney, jeb bush, right now the people see romney coming back . I really cant. I think a lot of the donors some q for it because they their funds. What become the mcdonnell i met hip last year, and a lot of people are shocked. Shocked. Do you think this reverberates behind him . I think its setting a tone of what is to come from the department of justice. Always good to see you, few very mitch. Super size their pay. Fastfood workers demanding 15 an hour, stage agonizes nice protest it to. Jonathan hunt was in the thick of it in new york. Reporter the group we saw across the country were small individually but a amounted to several thousands when you took it as a national total. Here in new york we saw 1 to 200 protesters gather outside a couple of midtown mcdonalds. The promised civil disobedience and delivered that. Several dozen arrested for blocking traffic on the avenues and streets of manhattan during rush hour and during the lunchtime rush. But the protesters and their organizers said they havehb no choice but to band together for what they believe they deserve. Listen here. A lowwage worker, the power you have is standing together with other lowwage workers, enif you have to contribute midfor them to have a bite because thats the way that working class people in the country will get back on track and bring this country back. Reporter organizers said there were protests in more than 100 cities around the country, critics of this fastfood Worker Movement question the role of the Service Employees International Union, the seiu, which does not represent the fastfood industry, but has been bankrolling the movement. The National Restaurant association told news statement, quote, this is nothing more than labor groups selfinterested attempts to boost their dwindling membership by targeting restaurant employees. We hope labor organizations will not escalate with aggressive tactics or intimidadwzez and wil respect with respect toward our custom if customersersers and employees and restaurant ownerss say raising the minimum wage to 15 an hour would cost a lot of the same fastfood workers their jobs. Thank you very minute. Comes back to that, and that debate is these guys get their way will all of us pay . Charles payne and steve say, yes. You disagree. Why . Fastfood workers are asking for twoing toes today. The want a wage that supports a decent standard of living and want the opportunity to come to the table with their employers to talk about where their interests overlap. An opening salvo . I think its strategic, because when we see how these things play out in practice, we see that the raises are based in overtime. so thats doubling over time, though. But what we see in the policies all enacted, over seven years by the time that reaches 15, its really what wrong with that . Sitting down with at the table with this Small Business franchisees, they should have sat down with them when they were cobbling together their money to buy the franchise. We know that work hours, total work hours, costing a lot of jobs. Profits go down, some say as much as 77 . The cost of the food goes up. Its actually in the endnw a loselose proposition, and the premise that somehow theyre owed a socalled liveable wage for these businesses with small Profit Margins is a farce. You think the argument could be made i hear charles, what he says about this is a small percentage of that work force, the overall work force is paid the minimum wage. When folks like mitt romney argue, we should raise it, he is in the 1010 camp, as is the president , oddly enough. But nothing more than that. And that indexes to inflation so doesnt become thisan hyperbolic issue. I think the report had it right. By the Service Employees International Union as the statement said. There are member ranks and financial coffers have been dwindling for years. This is about organizing fastfood workers, and that is exactly what this is about. This has been going on since last november, and we just found out today that they spent 38 million in 2013 alone and according to a report filed by the adapt of labor, 40 employees of the union here at Corporate Headquarters pay under 15 an hour. So, they ought to start at home. They ought to let the markets work and Free Enterprise system work. Obviously theyre trying to drum up customers no surprise there but does that part of it disturb you, the unions arent doing this to help out these disenfranchised folks but to drum up more cus2jnaj and a lot of guys have no idea if they do become union workers, a big chunk of that paycheck goes to the unions . I think that fastfood woker today showed theyre willing to put quite a lot on the line in order to have their voices heard. I saw a study out of rutgers that shows seven out of ten americans believe the losses they face in the Great Recession are permanent, thats way of life. U who pays for this . Unions were thing me systems that who pays for this . Lets say in a perfect world, everyone would get a lot of money. Now, who then pays for this and do you think americans would accept paying more for things, or we would have to adjust to more out i mated restaurants automated restaurants. When the minimum wage increases 10 we see prices increase by less than half a percent. What if it doubles, goes from 7. 25 to 15. Then your five dollar value meal deal, that americans will just grin and bear it. Theyre that al truegk isic. Theres a lot of ways a business can pay for a raise. Firing workers is one. Firing worker us. Does that happen. No doubt thats going to happen. Charles, its not happening. To her point, what a lot of the Unemployment Rate has begun down. c for Washington State with a microsoft and boeing, boeing the number one business in the country, theyre going to sell five trillion dollars in planes. Nothing to do with do the finite. Check the fastfood workers. Their traffic is dropping. Heres the thing dont understand about this whole movement. Are you telling these people, these 19yearold kids, youre so dumb or youre so inept, this is where youre stuck so the best we can do is get you more money for flipping burgersbut dont say, take some courses online or go to community college. Theyre saying this is all youre good for in the country to flip burkers and thats the placage im hearing. Thats a best interests. Fastfood jobs used to be the lowest rung on a ladder that led somewhere. Today more and more these lowage jobs are the fastest jobs being added to the economy. Steve, i wish i hadmer time had more time. This notion that the industry would have to make judgments, would they make the restaurants that are automated . Price of the product goes up . What . Look, its simple economics. If you raise the cost of labor you have to make up for it somewhere else. Less sales for franchisees and higher prices for consumers and lost jobs. What this5u5n all about is the unions trying to organize because their ranks and financial coffers have been dwindling for years. This is their last best hope. Thank you very much. Charles, gets into these and other issues, tells you the stocks to buy, whether youre minimum wage or higher, you can make money. Great show. He is a great guy sometimes. These two do not be more different than night and day. A guy could be the next Prime Minister of britain, and the niece of Martin Luther king. What they both said about isis. That bears repeating. Ill give you a hip. A hint. It has something to do with god. americas newest Real Estate Brand is all ready the brand of the year. Berkshire hathaway home services. Good to know. Theyre fake cell phone towers and tapping into your phone calls. Anyonen one could be britains next Prime Minister, the other the niece of a slain civil rights leader, named Martin Luther king. Two very different people. One very common push. Why do so many britts join isis. We have seen increased radicalization in the united kingdom, much of it a selfinflicted. We have encouraged people not to come together and be british but to live separately and i apart. Like what were doing here. Yes. Those are similarities. We even had the last archbishop of . K canterbury shutting shia w would be okay. We have not been muscular in standing up and saying were a christian country, a christian constitution, judeochristian culture. Under prisons are now preponderances where jihaddism is on the march. Much of this we have done to our. They have the leader of our country say were no longer a christian nation, and im noticing now that in all the reports who were hearing from the white house, were hearing various answers but where is the rite chows indignation. Where is the charitable answer . What about the Geneva Convention . And then we upon temperaturetive indicate about weve done strucks anddbvn having conversa, and yet young men are being killed, and beheaded before our very highs. American young men. Its fair o shows who are not politically on the same page but on this extra issue about losing our core, as a judeochristian nation, the judeochristian western power, make a point, is this moved toward multiculturalism and away from jude dayow christian val eyes fueling the isis problems were seeing. Father, what do you think . I think when you create a vacuum something to fill it, especially with young men who are seeking for idealism when they dont anywhere have theo idealism of the judeochristian culte theyre going to seek other absolutes and sometime those absolutes are destructive. Captain . When i was young lad, and i was in school, we were taught that america was the great melting pot. When you came here, you became as one. You became an american. And then we shifted at some point, i believe in the 70s, to start calling it the salad bowl concept, writ was all of the various parts, each drink, that made up the great salad. The military continues to run the melting pot, i. E. , find those things, the common values, the common language, the common accepted behavior, that all shall do and thats why the military is the last marry tookcracy in the country. So when you give up on that and start accent waiting differences it doesnt boat bode well. The argument for moving away from being a christianbased nation, to is that you want to allow more in andc7 a more on mind to these other points of view. She rejected that, so did the what do you think of that . Well, i think that this notion of christian judeochristian culture as being intoll ran is completely fallacious. If you want an inclusive culture, you want the culture that recognizes distinctions but also the dignity of the human person. Human dignity is predicated on humanity, nottdzb culture. Culture changes from time to time. You and i weapon back to the respective villages of our ancestors in italy we would be in culture shock. The Italian Culture changed and became an American Catholic culture american Italian Culture. So i think thisxf mjjn were playing a very dangerous game here, this multiculturalism, mandating things to be broken down on the basis of class and race, and this promotes a vulcanization of our nation. Is it more economic, though, with economist is that in an economic vacuum where a lot of jobs are wanting and the jobes that are there arent that gate, this is what happens and has nothing to do with the who judeochristian argument. I disagree. As a society, society shares many, many things, and when you come in and look at all of the past migrations into the United States, whether it be the germans, dutch, spanish, britsit doesnt matter. Countries. So when you look at that and then you look at the transition of coming from that country to the United States, the one thing that you share with your new country is your core belief system, and you draw your strength and your willingness to endure from that life system. So, thats one thing that done change. However, when you come from a country in the middle east that is predominantly a Muslim Country you have the total think you have to overcome, which is not only this new and foreign culture, but the belief system stat is antithetical to how you were raised. Father, could it be something more basic going on here . I think we chatted about is in in the past. Church attendance is down. Religious worship at any established institution is down. And thist7 is endemic across the board no matter the religion and no matter the country, and whether you want to say its an increasingly godless world, it seems to be a more secular world. Whats going on . I think thats true. You remarked a moment ago about the Economic Framework in which we exist, and being responsible for this. Lets remember that the Economic Framework of the United States, heretofore, physical the haas 1520 until the last 1520 years, was largely in essence built on the judeochristian values, the view of the human person, the right to property, the right to trade, sense of tolerance, even where there is disagreement. I now that from having grown up in brooklyn the 1950s. There was diversity that was not mandated and yet there was a common core that was spoken about that joined us9d together, that bound us together in a common cause, common culture, and i think that is what we need to repromote, and the fact churches are failing in that is a result, would insist, on a certain cowardice with regard to our own ethicalncn system. We lost confidence in our civilization, and when that happens, the game is up. Well put, father. Well put, captain. Thank you both very, very much. If we really want to destroy isis, is this anytime to be handing our brave men and women pink slips . Colonel west on the oddity of that, 8 00 p. M. , fbn. You thinkhe that cell phone tower in under neighborhood is legit . Before you make that next cell phone call you just might want to listen. A body at rest tends to stay at rest. The New York Daily News declaring the Washington Redskins indian chief is offensive so its replacing the name redskins with washington and its logo is now this. Dont ask. Three out of four americans, when asked, say they had no problem with redskins name. Judge napolitano says she whole debate is ridiculous. But it is what it is. Announcers will refer to the team as washington. What going to use redskinses. You know, we dont live the most interesting poll is of native americans, who overwhelmingly find this not offensive. Football im an oldfashioned new york giants fan is so imbued in in the culture the numbers i say they dont view it as offensive. But what is interesting is the efforts of those who find it offensive to use the power of the government to force the ownership of the redskins to change the name. That is what offends me because of the piece of paper. The team has not changed its name. What is interesting, we talked about this when it first happened, when they just invalidated the treadmarks why cant the redskin have a defense to that . As for the hobby lobby case the Supreme Court of the United States said, entities that1o ars corps and partnerships and limited partnerships have First Amendment rightsmeaning the government cannot suppress speech. Guess what the ownership of the redskins is. A combination of scorps partnerships and limited partnership. Say youre legally right but the team has to deal with the Mainstream Media and sponsors and i can just see we dont see evidence yet sponsors say, unless you change that name, were getting kind of nervous here because its the perception. The name is immensely popular in washington, dc. If the Washington Post is still using Washington Redskins. The Washington Post will lose readers if the change and they know that. If the ownership wants to change the name, to get rid of this political;4 campaign or to respd to the whims of their fan base, they can do it. But leave the government out of this. I wonder if its too late for that. The team seems to be trying to cover it both ways. They still have the old looked like almost a cursive r but that was used along with the redskins. Is that enough to give them cover . Probably not. The people behind this campaign are so determined to remove the word redskins from public parlance the use of the r is not enough. You know who suggested the universe the r . St. Vincent lombardi. He coached the redskins and said i dont like that image there. Lets just put an r. Well call it the redskins and then the logo will be an r, and then win Vince Lombardi died they went back to the indians. Its one of theqv great nfl te. There are those who think the redskins name is offensive. Theres another network that says that they think that saying redskins is akin to using the nword. Ive never heard that heard argument made seriously. And with any credence. The redskins are a great team. They pack that stadium. As far as i know, they havent lost any advertisers. They packed that statement when they were 313. Correct. This is a private decision for the owners of that team. It is not a role for government. On the other hand, if people want to boycott the team, because they dont like the name, thats their privilege. What do you go, go to the atlanta indians where does this stop . There you go. Are they offended by the name of the new york giants . Are people in the south offended people are by the giants, period. The new york yankees . Where does it stop . If you dont like the team, go watch another team. There you go. A sideways hamburger for now. I guess they put the cheese in the middle. Are you kidding me . I dont know. I dont know. Did you just happen to mention a cheeseburger at a time like this . Youve got to eat. Next time give obama a call, you might think that somebodys listening in. A new report says that cell towers, fake cell towers are sort of cropping up out of nowhere. Across the country. And these things can intercept your cell phone data calls, data, you name it. Former d. C. Detective rod wheeler is worried about this. Why, rod . Well, you know, these fake cell phone towers are also called rogue cell phone towers. Let me tell you, neil, very quickly, how this works. What happens is the companies create these bogus cell phone towers, and they intercept your call in between the real cell phone tower and your cell phone. And what they can do is eavesdrop into your calls, or they can steal your actual data, such as emails, text messages, and so far this company that you just referenced has been able to identify over 18 of these rogue cell phone towers right here in the United States. But whos making them . Whose rogue towers are they . Theyre not sprint or verizon . Right. Thats an excellent question. Heres why. Because so far, nobody is laying claim to the ownership of these towers. Now, heres whats really interesting. The viewers will find this interesting. These towers have been very close to military installations right here in the United States. So the belief is, maybe they belong to the military. But the military is saying, no, they dont belong to us. The question is, who do they belong to, and whether or not they belong to another country thats been making their way into the United States, maybe trying to get some of our data and breach our security measures. Dont they need clearance from lovell officials or towns . I know in my community, they have a devil of a time to extend intermittent coverage and cell phone coverage. You just dont pop one of these things up. Well, actually, you do. The towers, neil, they dont look exactly like the towers that youre thinking. Actually, they look like a router, a computer router. Thats why theyre very small. Heres the thing, real quickly, they operate off of the 2g spectrum. The 2g cellular spectrum. If the viewer ever notices on their cell phone that the spectrum has gone from 4g to 2g, your phone is probably being tapped and listened to. Thats one way to determine whether somebody is eavesdropping on your call. I have no idea what you just said, but rod, youre so brilliant. You make sense of that for me. 4g to 2g. Thank you, sir.
