It is an absolute removal of a cornerstone of our republic and if republicans right now under the Trump Administration if they support this, if they support this and if they go in with universal background checks and everything else, they will have done more than barack obama when he was president , to undermine our Second Amendment rights. What people need to realize is the way that red flag laws work in the way theyve been outlined in 17 states is that of the states differ as to who and how many and how close they are y to you, who can petition, who can report you, but in some states, pretty much any tom and harry can report you and say that they think are dangerous in your firearms and Law Enforcement they are not required to give advance notice. Youre talking about serving no knock warrants and all of this other stuff, this kind of goes along with that. They can show up, no advance warning. In maryland there was a man killed. Gary willis, 61yearold man was killed when Law Enforcement showed up at his home before sunrise knocking on his door demanding to take his property. He had no idea what was going on and they put Law Enforcement in a very uncomfortable spot, which is why a lot of sheriffs in a lot of different states are saying that they will not uphold these red flag laws also, but we have to think of these consequences. First off, its dangerous. Secondly, due process is inverted. Ive got this theory that for the past 20 years everything has been sort of defined by the Climate Change debates, so the left says Climate Change, Climate Change, Climate Change, if we dont do something extreme tomorrow that allows the government to intrude all over every personal liberty that you have, than the planet is going to be destroyed in five years in the human race is going to go extinct. Its one side, on the other side, conservatives have allowed themselves to do nothing more than try and negate it. To say no, we dont think thats true and its just another example of the ethic that conservatives, american conservatives seem to have which is our only job is to stand and yell stop and its stupid. It is just a loser philosophyg and we have to come up with b something thats better than that. We have to be able to put forward good policies that actually promote and protect the environment, that promote green spaces, that you are saying protect nature. These are things that should be uncontroversial and hit Climate Change has become an excuse not to do anything. Tucker that is it and you make your point in his piece thats exactly right. One of the great things in my opinion the great thing about this country is its natural beauty, it has no parallel in the world and yet its getting dirtier. I dont understand, youre conservative so we have the self image, where the people who clean up our lawns. Where the people who just sort of do the right thing and the people of personal responsibility. Why doesnt that apply to the country as a whole . Who would rather have beautiful cities, go to new york, los angeles, these are cities degraded quickly and that is part of the environment too. The u. S. That makes those urban areas less beautiful, it makes them a less pleasant and by the way it also makes them hotter and drie drier.
