Our people dont want to do it. Ever weak, weak politicians dont want to do it. A Trump Administration will cancel all federal funding to sanctuary cities. We will end illegal immigration. We are going to stop drugs from pouring into your communities and poisoning our youth and everybody else. And we will support all criminal aliens. Quickly from our country. Martha states like florida, cities like jacksonville, part of a movement behind the president s victory, drawn to him by a host of issues, not the least of which was a talk like that just days before the november election when it come as your member, nobody thought he was going to win. Those ideas resonated in a big way. We heard tonight is vague speak to people who helped to elect mr. Trump. We will ask them how they think it is going so far in the first 100 days of my expectations that were set on immigration policy, its impact on jobs, safety, terrorism, and on the culture of the communities that we all live in across this country. So, november exit polling from florida helps to tell the story of why we are here tonight. Among 10 who said immigration was the most important issue for them on election day, 69 of those voted for donald trump. Among the 23 who said that most important issue to them was Illegal Immigrants working in the u. S. Have to be deported to their home country, 92 of those individuals voted for donald trump. We will get to all of that in moments with a town hall meeting, that includes lawmakers, Law Enforcement, and lots of average voters who have gathered here tonight to have their voices heard. But first, we go to the white house and Senior Advisor to the president , Stephen Miller, who helped to craft the president s controversial executive order calling for more rigorous vetting of immigrants from seven middle eastern countries. Mr. Miller, welcome. Good to have you here tonight. It is great to be here. Thank you. Martha everybody is anticipating the next rollout of the next executive order, which is supposed to clarify some of the issues that were perhaps wrong with the first one and then, got caught up in the courts. How is it going to be different this time . Nothing was wrong with the First Executive order. However, there was a flawed judicial ruling that was erroneous. The president recently read to the statute from the immigration and nationality act, which states, he has the power as president to impose any restrictions he deems necessary when it is in the national interest. However, because of the exigency of the situation, and the need to protect our country, and to protect our citizens, the president is going to be issuing a new executive action based off of the judicial ruling, flawed though it may be, to protect our country and to give our people safe, and that is going to be coming very soon. Martha all right. We have an 18yearold, he wants to know specifically, how the secondorder is going to be different. One of the big difference is that you are going to see and they executive order is that is going to be responsive to the judicial ruling, which didnt exist previously. These are mostly minor technical differences, fundamentally. You are still going to have the same basic policy outcome for the country but you are going to be have a lot of technical issues brought up by the court. Those will be addressed. In terms of protecting the country, those basic policies are still going to be in effect. I want to broaden the conversation and not get lost in the technical minutia. He is the reality. The United States admits more people than any other country on the face of the earth. Weve got a serious problem in our country of terrorism, radicalization, and a serious problem is of people joining isis, joining terror groups, joining al qaeda, and committing or attempting to commit acts of crime and terror against our nation. We have seen a huge martha let me jumping on you. Here is one of the problems. I dont you think the order was fine the way it was issued initially. But courts disagree. In fact chemical 48 courts took issued with that. That is why it is halted right now. Now, you are about to issue another order, one of the things that would need to be addressed, it sounds like, is proving that the seven countries that you have targeted are indeed the right ones to target and that you have merit and reason for targeting those specific ones, rather than saudi arabia, right . Their reality is, the seven countries were designated by president obama and by congress in 20159216. The reality is that the seven countries, look at yemen, look at libya. Look look at caesarea, the conds in these countries. This is an assessment based on the threat that these countries pose today. Going into the future. We have had dozens and dozens of terrorism cases from these countries. Case after case after case. But more fundamentally, it is the position of our intelligence community, that these countries today pose a threat to our country moving forward. The president is acting decisively to protect our country from these threats. The ruling is from those courts. Flawed, erroneous, and falls. The president s actions were clearly legal and constitutional and consistent with the longstanding traditions of president s in the past to exercise the authority in the Immigration National hourly act to suspend immigration repose is a threat to our security. That is of the president will do. In the next few days, we will roll out the details martha we understand we have a little bit of a delay. I dont mean to be stepping on you. I understand that is your perspective and that is the white houses argument. One more question to you from one of our viewers, if you well. Jack, a veteran in our audience this evening, says, how far is the administration willing to go to secure the southern border. With the administration deploy the u. S. Military to do so . Right now, we have 20,000 fantastic Border Patrol agents who are doing a great job. Martha, i want to try and brought a nice conversation and get to the core of the issues here. Whether we are talking about the new executive action, the next few days, we will share the details of what that will be and how it is responsive to the courts ruling. Whether we are talking about the southern border, whether we are talking about the guestworker programs, here is the core issue. It is the job of the president and the job of our government to protect the hardworking people of this country, to protect their jobs, wages, communities. To keep them safe from terrorism and crime and drugs and wage depression. Uncontrolled migration over many years has undermined wages, working prospects for people of all backgrounds, and all walks of life. It has made us less safe. Proper controls will raise wages, improve employment, health Migrant Workers enter the middleclass were already living here, and keep us threats of terror. And this president and this administration is fully committed to doing what is necessary, lawful, just, decent, and right, to take care of and to defend hardworking, patriotic citizens and their communities. Martha we look very much forward to that second executive order and we will watch the path and see if it makes it through the courts, the executive branch, the judicial branch, can find their way to put this together. Thank you very much, Stephen Miller, for joining us tonight. Good to have you with us. Thank you. Lets bring a jacksonville native and florida congressman who was one of the first to stand by President Trumps original order. Good to have you here. Thanks for coming down to florida. Martha is great to be here. One of the interesting comments from general kelly, when he spoke about this the other day, he wanted the second executive order to take place in a way that we would not find people backed up in our airports. He was acknowledging that there was some issue in this rollout. What are your thoughts on that . That is right. You have examples of a grandmother who was a green card holder coming back from one of these countries, that is not for the threat is. The threat are with people who are unvented, these are countries that are state sponsors of terrorism, or overrun and large degree by terrorist groups. If you look, since 9 11, the biggest change in the terrorist threat has been how much it has expanded in different countries. You have somalia, other parts of Africa Martha do you think more than a seven should be on the list . If you read the executive order, that is it a 90 day period back. People mentioned saudi arabia. Maybe saudi arabia doesnt have procedures that are acceptable. Maybe there will be changes there. I think we have to err on the side of caution. My view is, we have an immigration system but it shouldnt make the American People assume risk for their safety by bringing in people we dont know. Martha lets bring some of our audience that we have. Let me start by going to jack capra, who is with us tonight. You listened to this conversation, jack, you are a veteran. We thank you for your your service. Thank you. I used to work with the congressman. [applause] i used to work with the congressman and guantanamo a few years ago. We both had duty there. Adeterminer martha welcome. Great to have the two of you here tonight. Great to talk about these issues. You listen to Stephen Miller from the white house. But if you think about what he had to say . I think his main argument was right on point. I agree with that. This is securing our borders, a National Security issue. Not just, it is also economics, it is a National Security issue, the federal governments job to keep our citizens safe from external and internal threats. I think immigration is a big contributor to that. Martha obviously, the roll out of it didnt go quite as planned. This brings me to a general question that i want to put you all of you as we get going tonight. As you look at the first 100 days, we are on day 33 right now, i am going to ask you to raise your hand for three different answers. The first one would be, so far, are you a, dont raise your hand yet it can either be a, thrilled, happy with how weird discover and, b, its okay, but there is room for improvement, and c, i am disappointed. Raise your hand if you would say that you are thrilled with how it is going so far. That is a lot of folks. Look at that. Okay, what about choice b, i am glad but i would like to see a little bit of improvement around the edges. Okay. So, how many of you are disappointed, not happy with how it is going so far . A couple of pure, one in the back there. One back there. Okay. We will get around to you and hear some of your reasons for all of that. What do you think about that . I think that congress martha what category do you fit into . I think that congress has got off to a slow start. I think the president has done better than we have. He is following through with what he said he would do. [applause] we in the congress are kind of getting to what we said we i think we will. But i think they have gotten a better start. It is important to say, they are not confirming his nominees. He has a fraction of a government in place because the democrats in the senate are basically trying to stall as many people as possible. Martha let me go to someone over here. Chris. The mother of three, you think that we need to put a pause on emigration. How do you feel about the president so far and do you think congress, do you agree with congressman desantis, that they are not pulling their weight . I am thrilled with it President Trump is doing. Congress, they need to get on board. Specifically, the democrats. He needs his cabinet, his full cabinet. They just seem to be stopping him at every turn. Theres got to be a discussion open. They have to be willing to give a little bit. Martha you are nodding your head there. Is anybody in particular and congress that you are disappointed and so far . Would you like to give them a message tonight . How much time do you have . [laughter] martha i got about 48 minutes. Go ahead. [laughter] i would say we finally have some on office who is doing something probably not even the last president i can think it is done anything like this was abraham lincoln, who was trying to reunite the country. And that is what we voted for him to do. And that is what he is doing. Congress is in getting behind us. I say, term limits. That way, you can clean house, just like he is draining the swamp. There is too many in there right now that arent doing their job. Stop voting mccain is a pain. [applause] i am the leader of the Term Limits Movement in the house. We do need to do that. [applause] martha you are on your third term. How many terms should he get . [laughter] how many terms . Our amendment is three terms of the house in two terms in the senate. The same one trump endorsed during the campaign. Lets get a vote and see what we can do. Martha we are just getting rolling. Great job opening this conversation. Coming to the next moment, just today, the Trump Administration ordered more border agents, 5,000 mark, also, 10,000 more i. C. E. Agents. Plans to move ahead with a controversial wall plan on our southern border. So, the fallout, and the debate from the floor here coming up next. [applause] bounty is more absorbent, so the roll can last 50 longer than the leading ordinary brand. So you get more life per roll. Bounty, the quicker picker upper for over 100 years like kraft has, natural cheese you learn a lot about what people want. Honey, do we have like a super creamy cheese with taco spice already in it . Oh, thanks. Bon appecheese okay. Hi, im frank. I take movantik for oic, opioidinduced constipation. Had a bad back injury, my doctor prescribed opioids which helped with the chronic pain, but backed me up bigtime. Tried prunes, laxatives, still constipated. Had to talk to my doctor. She said, how long you been holding this in . laughs that was my movantik moment. My doctor told me that movantik is specifically designed for oic and can help you go more often. Dont take movantik if you have a bowel blockage or a history of them. Movantik may cause serious side effects, including symptoms of opioid withdrawal, severe stomach pain and or diarrhea, and tears in the stomach or intestine. Tell your doctor about any side effects and about medicines you take. Movantik may interact with them causing side effects. Why hold it in . Have your movantik moment. Talk to your doctor about opioidinduced constipation. If you cant afford your medication, astrazeneca may be able to help. [applause] martha breaking tonight, just hours before the doors opened in our town hall meeting in jacksonville, florida, the department of Homeland Security announced a brandnew priority when it comes to their plan to deport Illegal Immigrants. The two memos from dhs secretary john kelly say and pray that his agency is going to use Public Safety to guide their decisions, why the white house made a point of saying therell be be no longer special exceptions to the rules. Watch. For so long, the people had their hands cuffed behind them. When they were going to deal with the mission of their job. The last administration had so many carve outs of who could be and who couldnt be adjudicated that it made it very difficult for the customs and enforcement people to do their job and enforce the laws of this country. Right now, what we have done is to make sure that they have the ability and the guidance and the resources to do what they are missionaries. That is it, plain and simple. Martha joining me now, sarah, the immigration and customs enforcement, better known as i. C. E. Director under president obama. Francisco hernandez is an immigration attorney. Welcome. Great to have both of you with us tonight. Thank you. Sarah, he was calling you out a bit there. Yes. I guess he was. But let me tell you, something that is maybe not clearly known, i have been a Law Enforcement officer. I was a prosecutor in dallas. I was in the United States attorney in dallas. I think significantly, that is one of the reasons i was selected to be the director of i. C. E. I believe in Law Enforcement. I believe in rational Law Enforcement. So, that is my focus and while i was director. I think we went about it in a good way, given the fact that we had resources that were not unlimited. Martha sean spicer was saying that under your direction and others, border enforcement officials under the Obama Administration werent allowed to do their jobs. The agents felt that they were handcuffed, they couldnt deport, they couldnt detain to the extent they wanted to. Is that fair . The law is the law. With respect to detention on those things, we were guided by the law. We were not guided by peoples emotions or feelings or thoughts. We were guided by the law. We had priorities, dress like this executive order has priorities. We did not exempt people, i guess, one could look at it that way, one could say that about the executive order, as well. We focused on serious criminals. In fact, our numbers went substantially up with respect to the portion of people that we were removing or putting in removal proceedings, being convicted criminals or people who are not in the country legally and there is a reason to remove them. Again, i am weighing is a manager, resources versus threat to Public Safety. Martha when you say resources, would you have liked to have the 10,000 additional agents that john kelly is going to get . We could have responded to congressman desantis, wherever he as, when he drove me on the hill about why we were departing more people. It would have helped in that regard. The important thing to me is ask any Law Enforcement, substance. Are we protecting the American Public by focusing on people who have no business being here, committing additional crimes, working against the interest of the American People. Martha going through the headlines are looking at different web sites, the administration cracks down, Illegal Immigrants are scared, nervous about what they are hearing. Yet, he said that daca would stay in place, children that came here with her parents at a young age would not be affected by this. What is your reaction to these two memos . First of all, i cant argue with miss saldana on qualifications. I feel like a thorn between two roses. President trump has written a blank check just like he cant cash. He is going to have to get the money from somewhere. You cant just say we are going to hire 20,000 agents, you got to have the people. Nobody is going to argue about whether you should deport people that commit repeated felonies. You are barking up the wrong tree. Quite frankly, you got to do something to get that money and we dont have the money. We do have to focus, as director saldana said come on the important things, deferred actions, yes, dreamers, lets give them a green card, something to work towards, something to nobody can argue about that. They are in limbo. Martha he said that is off the table. Unless they have a criminal record. The interesting thing is, President Trump argued that president obama did not have the executive or constitutional power to issue that executive order, neither does he have the dash what is good for the goose is good for the gander. If we are going to go with those executive orders from President Trump, we have to find them. It costs money. Martha lets get some questions. Im sure i got that wrong. [laughs] what do you think about what you are hearing tonight . I am horrified. I am horrified. This is not the country i emigrated to. Sure, when i first emigrated 26 years ago, from germany, i am a native berliner, i grew up with a wall. I know what the wall does to families. I witnessed people getting shot crossing over the wall. And i see us as a nation going towards that again. It is horrifying. Little by little, we are getting there. Berlin didnt start out with a wall coming up instantly. The russians shooting everybody. It starts gradually. And it gets worse and worse. I want us to come together as a nation and have compassion for people. Dont just shut yourself off from that what you dont understand, what you dont know. Why dont each one of you who are against immigration may be get to know a refugee . Get to know and immigrants. See where they have come from and what they have gone through in life. Martha let me get a response from bill, shaking your head pretty hard, sir. Why . [applause] i was in berlin when the wall was up. The wall was meant to keep people in. Because the communist system was so horrible. This wall is being designed to protect our borders. We are a sovereign nation. We should have sovereign borders. We are a nation of laws. [applause] if we dont have the rule of law, we dont have sovereignty. I am not against protecting the people here. Absolutely not. But you dont realize, america is already so safe this is the safest place i fee. I travel overseas every year. [applause] though Law Enforcement does a great job, the Customs Office martha let me get an answer. I think the greatness of a nation is measured not by the size of its guns become about how we treat the most vulnerablr society. In this case, illegals or the undocumented, i think that maybe we should take a look at immigration issue in a different way. We should go to the root of the problem. The root of the problem is very simple. It is called honduras, el salvador, and guatemala. President trump has an outstanding opportunity. He is a businessman, he knows how to build coalitions, he knows cultural sensitivities from other countries. He can go to those three countries that are exporting the majority of the people that are knocking on our borders and help them put their house in order. Then, we could avoid or save the money that we are going to be investing in the 20 million, 20 billion that will cost to build a wall along the mexican border. We could earmark those 280 million that we are giving to those three countries, earmarked that for what nicaragua did. Nobody talks about why nicaraguans are not coming and knocking on our border. I am not a friend of the nicaraguan government. But they knew how to do it. They could help us solve the problem. Martha thank you very much much. Officials in miami, florida, got National Attention when they decided to stand against becoming a so called the sanctuary city. We will speak to the man behind that very controversial decision here in florida coming up next. [applause] only at t offers you all your live channels and dvr on your devices. Datafree. [applause] martha a point of hot contention in the immigration debate involves a socalled to sanctuary cities. Scattered throughout the country, cities and towns of structure or not mike offer immigration by limiting cooperation with federal immigration authorities. I want to start with our audience panel, a broad question in terms of priorities, goes to what were talking about earlier. I will give you three options. I want you to pick the one that you think should be the g. O. P. Priority right now or the governments priority or for the whole country, regardless of your background. Choice number one, immigration and the wall, choice number two, tax reform, choice number three, Obamacare Repeal and replace. This goes to what we are talking about before in terms of what they are doing first. If you want them to address immigration and the wall first, raise your hand. Maybe a third, may be less tax reform. Maybe half. Obamacare, repeal and replace. So, i would say, tax reform was the winner. You want tax reform to be a priority for the folks on capitol hill. Maybe they are listening to what youre saying tonight. In terms of immigration, i want to bring an hour guest and her daughter savannah. You were originally from san francisco, you live in this area now. You believe that it is not true that the jobs that are being done by Illegal Immigrants are jobs that americans dont want to duplicate yes and no. When i lived in california, i had a nanny that didnt have a green card. I didnt know that. She was a very hard worker. But again, i think there are jobs that are open, that would be open to americans, that are taken by Illegal Immigrants. I just feel strongly that that is a huge deal in our country, especially florida, since we have such an and flunks of Illegal Immigrants. What about sanctuary cities . You know. Um. Martha having grown up in san francisco, dont be nervous. It is understandable. I scared you, put that mic in front of your face. I know the feeling. Its quite all right. Sanctuary cities, maybe i will sound like a bad person here, i am frustrated that we even have them. [applause] martha thats what savannah was going to say. It doesnt make sense to me. The fact that they are going now, not going away come again, im a californian, i live there. San francisco, l. A. , oakland, it doesnt make any sense to not work with local Law Enforcement when it comes to immigrants. And criminals. Martha thank you very much. Im joined now by the mayor of miami, maine or gimenez. Laura has a tough personal story, you lost your son to a person who was here illegally. I know you have stood next to President Trump many times as he has talked about this. You took a tough stance and said we are not going to be a sanctuary city in miami. Has there been a backlash in your area . There has been. We have very vocal opposition to what we did. What i say to people that tell me that i really like what you did, i tell them, i really did a lot less than what you thought i did. The people that are vocally against it, i say, i did a lot less than what you thought i did. Really, all we did, we relabeled a sanctuary city by the Obama Administration and the Justice Department because we were requesting reimbursement from the federal government for detained requests. What i did, i said, we know longer need to have that voucher from the federal government think that they are going to pay us for our costs for detaining these people of interest to immigration. That is all we did. By doing that, it basically took us off the list of being a sanctuary city. Miamidade county has never thought of itself as a sanctuary city. Even when we pass that resolution back in 2014, we didnt think that that would place us as i icing tricity. Basically, taking that off, martha the financial decision. We were being threatened with millions of dollars in federal funding that we need to provide services for the 2. 7 Million People of miamidade county. Martha laura, the president said that he is not going he is going to respect daca. How did you feel about that . I believe there is going to be a process no matter how you do it. Someone is going to be inconvenienced. Without the immigration laws being enforced, this country has run amok. Anyway that he doesnt, there is going to be an inconvenience to people. For myself, if you are not bearing your child in the ground and turning around and walking away, it is not an inconvenience that you cant deal with. [applause] martha in terms of your son and your situation, that young man was brought here by his parents. He was a dreamer brought here when he was ten from belize. He had been charged with the crime of harassment but not convicted. Then, he murdered joshua while he was on bond for that. He should never have gotten a bond, the very least. You dont want to wait until the murder your kid, until you say, you are in trouble. Its ridiculous. Nobody gets sanctuary from the law. There is nothing i could do and be given sanctuary from it and there is no reason for anybody else to have that, as well. [applause] martha do you believe that you are getting somewhere with your cause . Absolutely. Mr. Trump said he would put crime victims in a program in place. To help victims like myself, real victims. The gentleman earlier talked about getting some of the money, if you can defund to sanctuary cities, there is some money. He can also take the money away from the 325 agencies in this country that help illegal aliens come help them navigate the system. There is not one place, one program in place to help us out. [applause] martha thank you. Good to have you both here. We are coming to you tonight from a state where there are many jobs that go to legal and Illegal Immigrants. When we come back, we are going to hear from our audience about the president s pledge to put america first. How do they think that is going . We will ask them right after this. [applause] and paycheck. Youve earned your medicare. It was a deal that was made long ago, and aarp believes it should be honored. Thankfully, President Trump does too. Martha when President Trump campaigned on the slogan of america first, a lot of that message was about bringing jobs back to american workers. Are they prepared to take the low wage jobs taken by illegal and legal immigrants . Joining us now, javier, president of of the u. S. Hispac chamber of congress and on President Trumps diversity coalition, although, he was a Hillary Clinton fan. And cindy nava, a dreamer and Democratic National committee fellow. Welcome to both of you. Good to have you here today. Have the air, first of all, you are a Hillary Clinton supporter. What made you change your tune . The reality of it is, when we were convinced that our side was going to win, we asked of donald trump that he honored the will of the people and that he respect the results of this election. The reality of it is, he won, he is now the 45th president of the United States of america and im going to do everything i can to live up to the exact same thing we asked of him. Im going to honor the role of the people. Im going to honor the results of the election. [applause] me and my association, a 4. 1 million hispanic firms in this country that contribute over 668 billion to the American Economy are going to do everything we can to help this administration move our country forward. We need to collaborate and move in the right direction. Martha you are a dreamer. What do you think about what happened today and the exemption for daca children, like yourself . Do you believe, you are talking about common ground, do you believe that this administratio . Do you think the resistors and the never trumpeters also want to . Martha, i think this is a First Step Towards what really needs to happen, which is to address comprehensive immigration reform. This is truly surprising for many of us, that President Trump decided to keep daca intact. That is great. Right now, theres a lot to fear in the communities. There is actually some dreamers that have been targeted. We have family. What is happening to our families . That is always a concern. Just because we may be feeling a little bit sick here, does not mean that the community is, are of the country are. Daca comes with many benefits, such as a ban on parole, many people are not familiar with. Advance parole is something we can request through humanitarian causes, educational, three clauses. I was able to get that because my grandmother was ill in mexico and she was dying. I was able to spend the five last days of her life with her. Martha i want to get a couple of friends appear. She is talking about families and keeping people together. What do you say . I think it is a wonderful idea that we keep families together. I am happy that this particular decision was made but i still think that immigration is a very serious situation that has to be controlled and we have to take care of illegals coming into the country that are going to cause harm and we should send them back. Martha what do you think . The amount of people that have come into the country that are taking welfare and other government benefits is way too much. We dont need any more welfare recipients in this country. We need people that are going to bring jobs and doctors and things to this country to help our economy. When 91 of the syrian refugees, or refugees, get welfare, something is wrong. We are committing financial suicide. [applause] martha pablo. I think the thing to keep in mind is that donald trump donald trump did inherit a mass when it comes to immigration. I was one of the people who raised my hand earlier and said i am disgusted with how this presidency is going. But i was disgusted with how president obamas presidency went on this topic, as well. I knocked on thousands of hispanic doors in particular in 2008, telling people that president obama was going to senator obama was going to offer them some form of relief. He betrayed us. He betrayed us to the tune of 2. 8 million deportations. The reality is, the communities that cindy is talking about right now do live in fear. That fear keeps them from working with the police. For example, if a wife is being battered and she is worried that by going to the police, she is going to be detained for her immigration status, that is just going to create more battered women. [boos] its true. Its true. I think the point here is that immigrants have already been betrayed by one presidency. What donald trump did today by offering daca kids hope, was a good thing. A very good thing. I applaud him for it. Martha the people that he is targeting her criminals or they have final deportation orders, which means that they were notified sometimes ago. They have been told for quite some time in many cases, they have left and come back against those orders. Those of the people who are being targeted first by the directive that was out today. We have more to come back to after this quick break. Stay with us. Coming up, how do those who have come to america from abroad feel about the moves that have been taken by this administration . [applause] martha as we wait President Trumps revised order calling for more vigorous vetting of emigrants from seven middle eastern countries, we wanted to talk to a couple of local residents in the jacksonville area for whom this is a large issue, very near and dear to their hearts. Joanne is an immigration attorney and Illegal Immigrants coming out, citizen of the United States. This is a recent immigrant to jacksonville from afghanistan. He spent nine years helping our u. S. Troops in his home country. We thank you for that. [applause] that is a special category of people that i know you would assume feel in the initial order really got short changed. Tell me. In terms of people who helped our troops, like you did, and the initial executive order, they were very concerned about their families, they wouldnt be able to get the men, they feel you have given a great deal to this country. Yeah. I worked nine years with the u. S. Army in afghanistan. Four years for the u. S. Army in five years with the u. S. Special forces in afghanistan. Because of my work and my faith and my name, i am one of the people that they tried to kill. I applied for immigration to come to the United States. I wanted to restart my life basically from zero to the United States. I still got some more friends that are right now working with a special ops in afghanistan. They are hoping to come to the United States for a better life. Martha joanne, tell us what you think about this new directive and whether or not you are optimistic and whether or not people like haidary and the other colleagues who he works with will be protected. I am optimistic. I am hoping that President Trump does realize that there is an issue with immigration, that the immigration system needs to be worked on. You know, the way he implemented the executive order before, it did impact victims, the refugees that were coming in, these are people who have already been victimized. They are fleeing their countries because they have a wellfounded fear of persecution. I understand and i totally support the need for strong borders and security of United States. I am a republican. I supported the republican president. However, i dont support the weight of this immigration ban was handled. You have to understand that these are people who are fleeing and they are in fear of their life. To bring them into this country, a land in an airport, detained again dash go martha they will try to get it right this time. I want to get a comment. We are talking about compassionate security. What do you think . I think the compassion comes with the security. The president , he is working very hard to secure our borders, yet, those who have green cards and have already been vetted, i think the compassion comes in when you can allow those people to come in and if they need anything else and that needs to be done, then, they can finish the investigation. But you must have some compassion for those who put their lives on the line for our country. Those who are here and working, we must begin to work to help them to become citizens. Martha thank you, pastor. A quick break. We will be right back. Live from jacksonville. Holy mackerel. Wow. Nice. Strength and style. Which ones your favorite .
