Any time, fighting and winning multiple cases across the country that made it easier for those mailin ballots to collect. If it wasnt signed, it could be cured or fixed in the days following. If the signature didnt match exactly, that too was okay in a lot of cases. And all of that took place before the november 3rd president ial election, and it had a major impact. Those same rules will be in effect next month in the Georgia Senate runoff election. To this point, nothing has changed. And tonight, the democrats have been waging those battles and are doubling down on them in georgia. Marc elias, the dnc with a lawyer who worked for Hillary Clinton and you may remember the commission of the infamous steele dossier. Tweeted this video last night. So, whats next . Georgia, george r, georgia, thats whats next. We have to make sure we put all of the resources and attention necessary to make sure that when joe biden becomes the 46th president of the united states, he has a Democratic Senate and a democratic house, so we will be doing a lot more democracy to focus on georgia in the days and weeks to come. Martha also leading the charge is stacey abrams, who still has not conceded the 2018 governors race that she lost to kemp. One of her get out the vote groups is under investigation for registering dad and outofstate voters, but the secretary of state has yet to prosecute a Single Person in those cases and investigations. And abrams come at this point, unfazed by any of that. 1. 2 million georgians have already requested absentee ballots. What is so exciting is embedded in that number. Of the 1. 2 million, 85,000 of the applications for mailin ballots come from voters who did not vote in november. We have every belief that we are going to see a turnout that is unlike anything georgia has seen. We have the investment, we have the momentum, and what is so important is we have a mission. Martha and today, abrams got a big thank you from joe biden on the ground there in atlanta. Watch. Thank stacey abrams, w with u we can rule the whole world, god love you. I think georgia is going to shock the nation with the number of people who vote on january the 5th. Am i right, georgia . My right . Martha honk, honk, honk. Joining me now, karl rove, leading the Fundraising Efforts in georgia and very involved in these races. Former staff member with george w. Bush, and a fox news contributor, has seen many campaign. Karl, great to have you here tonight. With all of that as a backdrop, how are you feeling about how things are going for your site in georgia right now . Well, i think pretty good. We spent a little times with stacys numbers because she is either misleading or uninformed. Martha okay. She just said there were 1. 2 Million People who requested a ballot, a male invalid for the runoff, and the 1. 3 million had done so in november. That is not correct. In november, 1 million, 740,000, 795 people requested a male invalid. 1,362,369 actually an exercise, voted by mail, so today, requests are half a million less, a third less than they were for the november election, and what you also need to remember is 600,000 of the people on the list for mailin ballots, 600,000 of the 1. 7 million are automatically on the list. They are on the list for a long time. They sign up for permanent mailin ballots, so they are counted as a request, we dont know whether or not they are actually going to vote. In fact, lets take a look at the returns and see if his enthusiasm for implication was 1. 2 Million People have already voted. Uhuh. 259,959 people have returned their ballots, that is 52 of the number that had voted 22 days before the general electi election. 497,439. Now remember, it ends up being 1. 3 million total, but 22 days out, as we are today, 22 days outcome only 52 as many people have voted. They are less democrats, they are less black, and 60 plus of them are 66 years or older, meaning more likely to be republican voters, so i dont know what her deal was there, except to sort of raised expectations that they were already in the lead, but this is a fight to the finish, and the republicans are doing pretty good right now. That got a long way to go. Early voting began on monday. The first day, a couple days of that, tend to be heavily democrat, but republicans won the early voting, and i anticipate they will win it, as well. Martha very interesting. Karl, with regard to the changes we saw across the country, but in georgia in particular because we are focusing there right now, there were, obviously, issues. Ive spoken with senator loeffler on this program about it. In terms of what has changed, and as far as i can tell, although there has been pushed back on some of the drop box voting and also on the signature match issues, it doesnt look like any of those rules will be any different on january the 5th, will they . Well, im not certain of that. The rules already in place. We have to match the signature, so the question is, what guidance is going to be given by the state board of elections on that . And our observers going to be able to watch that process . And what is the process by which they can challenge . These questions are very much up in the air. Republicans are negotiating with the board of elections, but ready to file a lawsuit if they are not given if there is not guidance given and furtherance of existence state laws. Same thing on the boxes, drop boxes, there are cameras on those, and republicans have gotten consideration with regard to access to that footage on a realtime basis. They are now waiting for that to be codified. If it is not codified, they can expect to be in court immediately on it. That information has to be available to both parties, republicans and democrats, so they can observe that footage and see if there is somebody showing up with multiple ballots and dumping them in, because harvesting ballots is a felony in a state of georgia, and if those cameras go down for any reason, there ought to be special attention paid to those ballots, so there are some things that are happening. One of the biggest things is incumbent upon the rhetorical parties. Last week, you are to designate poll watchers to observe during the early voting. Mack, and then for election day, and republicans submitted 4,000 poll watchers, the largest numbd submitted by any party in the history of georgia. Martha that is going to be very important, because we saw some of the counting shut down a different periods, and people were asked to leave. Can you, or can the Republican Party of georgia, guarantee that nobody is going to leave those sites or walk out of those rooms until every vote is counted . Or at least have people cycle in so there is never a moment when there arent both sides there . Well, that is the goal, and will be supported by lawyers. Three National Law Firms have been retained by republicans. Have so many lawyers running around georgia you think we were trying to but there has to be an extraordinary effort made, and the republicans are ready to make it. A couple other things, i missed it by miss stacey abrams, i dont know whether it is delivered or misinformed, she said there were 55,000 it should be 85,000 applicants who did not vote in the november election 55,000 of them are on the automatic vote by mail list. You know, she says, weve got 85,000 people who didnt vote in the november election and have now requested ballots. 55,000 of them on the automatic list, so that means theres only 30,000 different there, and of those, how many of those are new voters . Only 12,130 of those voters are from people who did not vote in november, so the 2. 5 of the total vote cast busbar comes from people who didnt vote in november, and we know exactly who those people are, the republicans are checking to make sure they are not people responding to the New York Times columnist tom friedman, who suggested that democrat liberals moved to georgia in order to vote in the election and return home. That is a felony, because if you do not have a specific intent to become a permanent resident, it is a felony to register in georgia. Martha it would have helped everybody to understand a little better, what is going on. My data is filled with numbers. Martha we love you for it. I want to ask you this. There is a very interesting piece in real clear investigations, and he says more than 1700 georgians were singled out for illegally casting two ballots in the 2020 elections. And they said that in most cases, they did an absentee ballot, and then they also walked in and voted again, and he says at the highest offenders of this were from fulton county, which includes atlanta and many of whom were allowed to cast a second ballot were allowed to cast a second ballot by the poll workers there. Do you think that is accurate . And if so, why have we seen the secretary of state not prosecute anybody so far . He said he was investigating all these groups, but as far as we can tell, nobody has been investigated. Well, im not really sure we know the answer to that. I will say this. We have been warned e. R. , nobody has been charged yet, so we dont know if they have been investigated or not, but having been warned about this, e place to stop this is at the polls, because you can say that person has cast an absentee ballot. Are you that same person . Therefore, you cant vote again. We had this happening we have procedures in place in texas. I had this i received a mail in violent and decided not to vote by mail, showed up at the polls, and i had to go through an affirmation process d cast a provisional ballot so they could hold onto it to check to make sure i did not return my mailin ballot. The procedures are there under georgia law, and with 4,000 poll watchers on several battalions of lawyers, we are going to make sure those rules are enforced on election day. Martha i understand your former boss is going to be helping you out . We have a group of bundlers, 550 people across the country helping raise money, and the president and many of them are friends of the former president , and he is going to be on a call tomorrow with them to thank them for their efforts and urging them on to give more money and make certain the ground game and legal effort are fully funded. Glad hes doing it. Martha it is quite a race. Thank you very much, karl. Great to talk to you tonight. Good to see you. You bet. Thank you. Martha while twitter and facebook or slapping warnings on the reporting on hunter biden, it turns out behind the scenes, the executives there were donating to the Biden Campaign, and now several of them have jumped ship and they have new jobs at the white house. Does that seem like something was up with that . Missouri senator josh hawley weighs in, and katie pavlich, byron york, and ron williams on the medias catchup game, admitting now, yes, there is a bit of a story there on hunter biden, when we come back. My son, my family, will not be involved in any business, any enterprise that is in conflict with or appears to be in conflict with appropriate distance from the presidency and government. Martha you probably recall twitter and facebook blocked the new york posts big story about hunter biden and a laptop. At the same time, we have now learned that their executives, several of them, were donating thousands of dollars to the Biden Campaign when that decision was made to block that story, which obviously would have been unhelpful to the Biden Campaign. Lo and behold, now some of them are getting jobs in the white house. You see how that works . Senator josh hawley of missouri joins me now. Senator, good to see you tonight. Thank you for being here. What do you think about that chain of events . I think it is totally predictable. We saw that these companies shoveling money at joe biden and Kamala Harris back during the campaign. How you look at this he spoke executives running the biden transition, you look at big tech executive ending up in key positions all over the place, and make no mistake about it, martha, if joe biden is sworn in as president in january, big tech is going to run this administration, just like they did in the obamabiden administration. Lets not forget, google was on the line for an antitrust lawsuit back during the obama administration, and the obama team shut it down after google met with them, where else, in the white house. Tech companies are calling the tune, and joe biden is going to do whatever they tell him to. Martha i mean, these companies are going to try to convince everybody that they are fair, that they are not biased. They need to stop slapping these kind of labels on stories and then turning around and donating to the candidate that it benefits. Its a very bad book, to put it to put it mildly, but it doesnt seem to be bothering an. I want to talk about the stimulus bill, because it looks like they are getting somewhere. Just give us your update on where this stands right now. Well, listen, the most important thing congress can do is give working people, working families relief before christmas, and that is where we want to vote in the senate on a bill that will give 1200 to every individual, 2400 to couples, working families, 500 to kids who need it. This is what we did back in march. Every senator voted for it. This ought to be the centerpiece of every relief effort. People are desperate, martha. Working people are desperate for wealth. Not wealthy people, working people ought to be the center of this bill, not an afterthought, and that is why have introduced legislation to get it done. Martha this is what is so crazy when you look at the numbers on the deals that were considered months ago, and nancy pelosi, the speaker of the house said nope, that is not enough. Listen to what she said, this is back in august. August 11th, she said this. Watch. Last week, they came up with some meager proposals, and the president over the weekend did even less to give an allusions of the market would go up and people would think who are not paying attention that he might be doing something, but let me just say this. We have children who are food insecure in our country. Martha so, we have children who are food insecure, and that is absolutely true. Your people going to food banks who have never been to a food bank in their life, never expected to be at one. But lets put up this graphic. Lets put it this graphic that shows this is the state and local nancy pelosi said she could not do without, that she needed to have as part of any deal. Back in september, they were at 436 billion. That in october its shrunk to 300 billion, and the deal they finally came to the table on, okay, now it is time to help americas working people, is down to 160 billion in state and local aid. How did that happen . Yeah, its because of the democrat leadership has been more interested in bailing out Big Governments that may have in actually helping workers, and they wanted hundreds of billions for Big Government instead of helping working people, and that is why i say what we ought to be focused on and what i am focused on is helping working families. No bailouts to Big Government, no bailouts to big corporations for that matter, this corporate welfare. What we need his help to working people. And by the way, martha, lets just remember, the reason working folks are in trouble as the Government Shutdown the businesses and shutdown their jobs back in march and april and may and june, and still, and some of these other states. That is why folks are hurting. They need the help. Lets get the help directly to people that need it. No government intermediary. Write a check to the people who need the help. Martha Mitch Mcconnell has said it is going to happen before any break for the holidays, and you have been working with Bernie Sanders on it, not something that the two of you normally do, but it is good to see people pull together, because obviously it should be a bipartisan situation. There is a lot of neat out there. Senator, thank you. Good to see you tonight. Thank you. Martha so, two months after the opinion writers declare that Hunter Bidens story was a fake at the washington post, they have now done a complete 180 on this story and its tone. This is this weeks headlines. Potential family conflicts arise for joe biden. And aids as his administration drafts new ethics rules. Journeyman i was katie pavlich, townhall. Com news editor, byron york, political contributor for the washington examiner, and juan williams, cohost of the five and fox news political analyst. Thank you very much. Katie, the 180 by the post, now clearly taking the story more seriously, what do you make of it . Well, martha, its amazing to look back at how far the bar was lowered on journalistic integrity when it came to the hunter biden story. You have a laptop at the time allegedly belonged to hunter biden. We now know the Campaign Never denied that. 20 by belinsky, a former Business Partner of hunter bided information, on the record statements about what he knew and what joe biden knew about Hunter Bidens business dealings overseas, and you had taxpayerfunded journalistic outlets Like National public radio going to the lengths of writing memos about how this was a distraction story, not worth pursuing, so now that the election is over and joe bidens president elect, moving forward, they can cover it in a very soft tone, as you just mentioned, with the family conflict issue, but really, what their goal was was to allow joe biden to get into office and then maybe try and salvage some of their journalistic integrity by going after this story. But dont forget how many times we had anonymous sources, for years on end o about russian collusion, this was Text Messages coming laptop, witnesses, partners of business, and they were pushed aside by the press and called russ and dish information artist. Its really quite remarkable. Martha there were so many in the media that basically took white blankets and stopped on the fire, telling everybody there is nothing to see here, byron, and remember that this is how they treated the trump children with the russia collusion story, which ended up falling to pieces. Watch this. The trump family is a criminal enterprise. Then there is also his sons facing new pressure, the indictment of the russian lawyer who met with him, and new questions about what else happened in the trump tower meeting. Sandwich between those calls back and forth is a blocked call, and we wanted to know, did that come from the president . Martha so, juan, i mean, byron, why the laptop curiosity about the story . Well, i think bias explains it, but i think what was going on in some journalists minds was they looked back to the 2016 campaign. There was the release of the Hillary Clinton emails and the john podesta emails. As a result of russian tax. They felt bad about that, that might have played a role. In Public Opinion and the election, and vowed never to let that happen again. So when the hunter biden laptop comes out, they make up a story about it. They say its russian disinformation too, and therefore we should ignore it, e mistakes of what were made in the past. The problem was there just wasnt any evidence it was russian disinformation. 2016 was not repeating itself, it was legitimate information. They didnt know it at the time, but the Justice Department had been investigating those in similar issues around hunter biden since 2018, since before that had begun. So, they just completely misread the entire situation, in a way that helped joe bidens campaign. Martha and when you think about the fact, 50 National Security officials who said this was not a story, that this was russian disinformation, and simultaneously, in fact, the other arm of government agencies, the department of justice, calling hunter biden a target, which is defined as a person who they have good reason to believe did something illegal. So, the irony in all of this, juan, its pretty rich, when you look back to all of the flames that were fanned over and over, even when there wasnt any flame, like people were blowing on it with those fanning things to get it going on the russian collusion story. Well, i think you can view some things here, first of all, i think that what was being pushed during the campaign was t hunter biden had used influence over his dad to try to go after the prosecutor in the ukraine and to get him fired. Of course, that wasnt true. In fact, the prosecutor wasnt looking into the company that hunter biden was associated with. That story just didnt fly martha well, thats one element of it. The other part is joe biden was with ukraine and china, those were the two countries his son decide it would be the best place to get a job. But go ahead. That is a different issue. I mean, clearly that is what President Trump was pushing at the debate, and the second point to be made here, i think, is now there is a tax investigation into hunter biden, and we know about it because of the news media. I think that President Trump is angry at bill barr for not disclosing it earlier because bill barr knew about it and didnt disclose it until a News Organization found out about it and made it public. So i think that is the second thing. And again, we dont know how expenexpanse of this is, we dont know the full scope of this story. Hope everybody looks into it. I hope every public official and their family understand that you cannot act in a way that would somehow put your interests above the nations interests. But that is not the same story that was being pushed against hunter biden earlier. Martha worth pointing out, the laptop story by the media that you point out was squashed and blocked by twitter and facebook in a frantic move close to the election. So, katie, this new incoming administration, the biden administration, says they will have totally different rules on the ethics of anything with regard to this. Final thoughts . Well, thats great, but the damage has been done when it comes to joe biden and his family and the concern about the Chinese Communist government having blackmail against the biden family. The only comments we ever hear from joe biden about his son are im proud of my son. There need to be some tough decisions made as president when the Chinese Communist party comes to you and says we have this information about your son come about your brother, what are you going to do about it when it comes to u. S. Policy or tariffs or other concerns that the Chinese Communist party may have about joe biden while he is the president and in charge of those kinds of decisions . Martha all right, so we wait for these investigations. They are ongoing, as we say, and we will see with the outcome is when they come. Thank you all, good to see you tonight. Coming up next, the push to remove, get ready for this, Abraham Lincolns name from the school building, because the 16th president , according to those who want to remove it, freed the slaves, did not show that black lives ever mattered to him. We have just learned that the San Francisco Unified School District renaming committee has recommended the removal of Abraham Lincolns name from a local high school. The 16th president , who is universally viewed as a hero, for ending slavery in this country, first became a target back in october when his name appeared on a list of historical figures whose past were described as steamed with racism and oppression. Jeremiah jeffries, a first gate to use for teacher in that district and chairman of renaming committee, told the San Francisco chronicle, Abraham Lincoln did not show through policy or rhetoric that black lives ever mattered to him outside of Human Capital and his casualties of wealth building. Other names we are could also be stripped from San Franciscos School Buildings president George Washington and herbert hoover, as well as senator dianne feinstein. Who came under fire for a decision she made in 1984 as mao replace a Confederate Flag that was vandalized outside city hall. The school board is expected to vote on these recommendations as early as next month. So, also this evening, remember this . I want to thank you for your courage and i want to tell you i believe you. I believe you. Martha that was Vice President elect Kamala Harris applauding Christine Blasey ford for speaking out against Justice Brett kavanaugh in 2018. But now, it seems like no one wants to talk about lindsey boylan, a former aide to new york governor andrew cuomo, who is also choosing to speak out, saying this, Governor Cuomo sexually harassed me for many years. Many saw it and watched. I could never anticipate what to expect. Would i be grilled on my work, which was very good . Or harassed about my looks . Or would it be both in the same conversation . This was the way for years. She says. Joining me now, lisa boothe and jessica tarlov, head of research at buckland digital group, both fox news contributors. Good to have you both here. Its really sad. I think we have all learned over the last couple of years since this Movement Really came to the forefront, that there are political biases, unfortunately, involved in who gets sort of run through the mill and who sort of gets ignored, jessica, so how does this work, exactly . Well, i think it works that there have been some modifications since the me too movement that believe women in terms of investigate all claims and see where the facts take you, and i think that is largely what democrats have done here. Both Lindsey Graham and the president himself said that dr. Blasey fords testimony seemed quite critical and they were in fact moved by it, and i would add we are the party that forced al franken out once there was evidence from accusers that felt he had gone too far. John conyers, as well. I think it is important to be the party that takes that seriously. And i question every republica s who push back on this when they support President Trump, who has been credibly accused by over a dozen women of sexual assault, critic eugene carroll, that says that he raped her. And an alleged pedophile still got rnc money in the president s endorsement. I would push back and add that the aide to Governor Cuomo did not want to speak with the press after lobbying lobbing that accusation. Martha that happens a lot. In my mind, the huge problem, and you know, many of the people on the list you just named, jessica, fall in this category, is they were not afforded due process. Whatever the accusation was made, it was universally accepted as truth, and these men, in this case, these individuals, did not get the chance to have their side of the story hard. But lisa, it feels to me like the stage was set in such a strong way with poor brett kavanaugh, who nothing was ever proven against. He had his eighth grade diaries raked over the coals in front of the Senate Judiciary committee, and he is never going to get those moments back in his life. Well, hes not, and the left weaponized of those allegations for purely political reasons, which aligns with their the end justifies the means approach iroquois doesnt matter to them to destroy the life of a father of two, husband, if if it is for political reason, to advance their movement, or essentially deny a Supreme Court justice that might have a different approach to roe v. Wade. But what i have a big problem too, with the medias approach, to which me to stories they are interested in, because the media is largely not covering my Governor Cuomo story, but with brett kavanaugh, they ran with every allegation against him, even though the information we had actually undercut his accusers, and it really raised questions about the credibility, did more to undermine the credibility than it did to support them, yet the media ran with it on the instance of Deborah Ramirez on the new yorker, the New York Times wouldnt even touch it after interviewing several dozen people, yet jane mayor wanted to run with the story because she said it was important to establish a pattern of misconduct. Martha i think back to the joe biden, tara reade situation, jessica, and he said this never happened. And it was accepted, and she was basically shunned. All the men that you named have said the same thing. They said this did not happen, i am not guilty of this. And i dont know, you know, you mention people who have lost their jobs. The due process is what is missing here, and i think both sides need to recognize that. If andrew cuomo didnt do anything wrong, then he should have his moment to make that very clear, too, but some stories get completely juiced up in some kind of, okay, we are not going to look at that. I agree with you martha how is that okay . Well, its not okay. Like i said, believe all women and investigate all claims. But i dont know what to do with the case of the state of Governor Cuomo who does not want to talk about it any further, doesnt want to prevent know my present evidence to. How can we give Governor Cuomo due process martha thats a good point, telling your side, yeah. And tara reade was investigated. Written by a survivor herself, who said she just couldnt get there to believe that joe biden had done martha from her own very close friend. I got to leave it there. Thank you, martha. Martha thank you, lisa. Thank you, jessica. So, also tonight, weve got a lot to get in, sorry, guys. The new squad of Incoming Congress know my republican members of congress that want to see ansi policy take voter fraud seriously, even though they wony fair elections, they are concerned about it. Multiple states engaged in litigation and thousands of witnesses with sworn affidavits to fraud related to the 2020 election. One thing is clear, our elections process, they say, has devolved into chaos. Joining me now is the youngest g. O. P. Woman elected to congress, cat comic, congresswomanelect of florida. She is 1 of 17 freshman republican women who are going to be in office as of january. Minority leader Kevin Mccarthy said is the most diverse incoming g. O. P. Class in history and every democratic incumbent who lost lost to a woman, a minority, or a veteran. Cat camamck, good to have you here. You obviously one macular election. So some might ask, you know, why you are so fired up about irregularities here and there, which, you know, so far have not added up too much. Well, thank you for having me tonight, martha. This whole situation is not just about the 2020 elections. This is about the future of our constitutional republic. If people dont have confidence in the election, then what are we doing here . We have to have a complete accountability report done on the 2020 elections. There are far too many irregularities that happen across the country, numerous states, sworn affidavits, and if the people do not have confidence in the system, then we are just fighting an uphill battle we are never going to win. This is not a republican issue or democrat issue, this is an american issue, and about the future integrity of our elections. That is why myself, along with 25 of my freshman colleagues, we authored this letter to speaker pelosi, letting her know, hey, you had quite a zest for investigations over the last few years. We think you would like this one, as well. So we are encouraging her, mostly demanding that they take this very seriously. The integrity of our elections is at stake, and the American People deserve answers and accountability. Martha well, youll have to let us know a if you get a response. We look forward to wet hearing where that may go. You are deputy chief of staff to ted yoho, now you are going to be in office. Your name next to an office at the capital. What is the first thing you want to take care of as a member . I think that we want to champion a lot my colleagues and i come of the 117th congress, we are going to be championing the principles that let someone like me go to congress, and every day working class person. Fighting socialism, putting americans first, defending our constitutional republic. We have a lot of energy. Im excited to be part of this class. As you said, 17 women, all incredible people, from all walks of life. I think the American People are going to be really excited about what they are seeing, come january. Martha i remember when there was a huge Democrat Class of women, we talk to them and interviewed them, now were looking forward to getting to know all of you as you take over this Important Role for your country. Thank you very much, kat cammack. Good to have you here. Have a good one. Martha President Trump was mocked for promising promising the American People a vaccine before the end of the year. Oh, brian, its another day of potus in wonderland here could. It is preposterous to make that statement, and also to kind of mislead the American People. Martha hmm. Hhs secretary alex azar is here on that, and when we could reach an immunity in this country that could be meaningful. Also, more vaccine approvals, and coming up, this father and proud american took upon himself to sing the National Anthem when the music wouldnt start at his sons basketball game. Martha today, the Moderna Vaccine is one step closer to approval, which could come as early as this week, as millions of pfizer shots became available and were administered across the country. Today is december the 15th. This was the hhs secretary azar on may 15, 7 months ago, and then you are going to hear the mocking response level that him on another channel. Thank you, mr. President , for your leader on this historic effort. Your leadership on operation warps the, will be one of the great scientific and humanitarian accomplishments in human history. Literal first words were to think the president for his leadership. The American Public was, today, promised the promise was held out that we will have a vaccine by the end of this year. Is that possible, in your view . Oh, brian, you know, it is another day of potus in wonderland here. It is preposterous to make that statement, and also to kind of mislead the American People about what is possible and not possible. We could have a vaccine in two months if we want to forgo the absolutely critical phase of long human testing to make sure the vaccine works, and most importantly, that it is safe. It is impossible to get that done by the end of the year. Martha secretary azar joins me now. So, secretary, why do you think so many people were so unwilling to even cheer this program on went its success would clearly be a good thing in the midst of a horrible experience for our country . Well, martha, forgive me if i am grinning year eartoear when i hear that. In spite of all of these experts and geniuses who said oh, 18 months at the soonest, it would be the most optimistic, he said, can we get it sooner . I had worked in the drug industry and run our bioterrorism efforts at hhs before, and he said we could do it by the end of the year and put it together. I think the difference is they want to see the impossible. The president wants to see the possible. He sets up a goal, and that is what he does as a leader, and that is what we do is work to achieve bad. Now we have two vaccines by the end of this week possibly, with 95 effectiveness. Tens of millions of doses for the American People. Im sorry, im going to grin. Martha you deserve a lot of congratulations. You all worked very hard to achieve this goal, and now we are seeing it actually roll out, and we hope that the rollout goes really well because what we want is for the country to get past this terrible situation. Another thing i want to ask you about his treatment, because we do see some very grim numbers of deaths in this country, and cases in this country. In one of the things that was highlighted months ago was that these treatments were really going to make a difference, especially things like remdesivir and the steroids, in people who really have this bad. What is happening . Yeah, its actually a really important issue you are raising, martha. We have gileads remdesivir. They are not getting used enough, they are not getting used early enough in the course of disease martha but they are available to anyone who wants them . And are they ridiculously expensive, or can people get them reasonably . As the president promised, the antibodies are free. This is for the viewers and doctors watching. If you are over 65, or if you are comorbid and have a risk of severe complications or hospitalization, talk to your doctor. After getting a positive test, and ask about whether you can be put on these drugs, because they can help prevent hospitalization, severe consequences, or in the case of remdesivir, shorten your hospitalization stay. We have a surplus of these products. They are not getting used. We need to keep people out of the hospital. Martha yeah, so people should request them and the doctors should prescribe them. Thats very interesting. They are readily available and they are free. I think that is really important to get out there. You know, this new strain of covid that the u. K. Is talking about, its pretty scary. They are saying it is moving much more quickly than it ever did before in the southern part of england, and they are calling it a new strain. Explain what your understanding of that is. Well, we still need to there to the bottom up we have seen many different, what one might call strains of covid, but heres what is really important for reviewers. As we now have these vaccines coming. These vaccines do not appear to be impacted by some of these modifications. Viruses do change all the time. What is great about these vaccines is that they seem to be still spot on target with the different strains that we tend to see morphing among the Covid Vaccine and virus. Martha i read that the virus, once the vaccine is ship to come it has to be used in a certain number of days. So come if it runs out and you have more vaccines, how do you decide who gets them . Because you dont want them to go bad. Absolutely, we would not want any of these vaccines to be spoiled, so we will certainly count on the hospitals and Community Health centers and pharmacies it is really a bigger challenge with the pfizer vaccine, which is the current one, because of the cold change storage. We want to get them used. I have been at gw hospital here. They have comprehend the plans for vaccinations. The next vaccine, moderna, does not have the same challenges of cold chain, so i think this is going to be something that we really get beyond rather quickly. Martha all right, hhs secretary azar, thank you, sir. Qaddafi here tonight. Thank you. Martha finally tonight come a great story. And ohio dad. He was in the stands waiting for the National Anthem to play, but there was a glitch in the anthem would not play, and that is when he decided to stand up and take it on himself, breaking the silence. Heres what happened. O say, does that starspangled banner yet wave oer the land of the free and the home of the brave [applause] martha big applause all around in the socially distant gym there. Great to have you with us. Thanks for having me. Martha did somebody nudge you on . Dad, or husband, to get up there and sing . Yeah, my wife. To go ahead and sing it, and so i did. Martha youve sung with a band before, you have done this before, but not in this way, right . No, you are totally up there, that is for sure. Martha why did you choose to do that . And why is the anthem important to you and your family . I do come from a military family, and the anthem, that is our anthem, the one that shears america on. I did not want my sons basketball game to start without it. When it seemed like it might have got passed over, that was unacceptable, so started to sing it, and everybody started joining in, and it was a good moment. Martha your son is about to play his firstever varsity basketball game in high school, so hes got some nerves, probably, and he looks over and dad is singing. Did that relaxed him, or did that make him more nervous . It wasnt his first ever, it was first of this year. Yeah, im sure once i started opening my mouth, he probably rolled his eyes a little bit. [laughter] but it turns out it was a pretty good thing. Martha i think we might have a picture of you with your daughter, grace. Your daughter, grace, is in the air force. Tell us a little bit about her. Yeah, grace, she has always been a very artsy person. She is one of a kind, that is for sure, and she decided to go in the military. It was a very touching time for me. Ended up growing up, weve always sang and done music together, wrote songs together, so kind of one of thoe things she was proud of, as well. Martha thats great. Your work also brings you very close to the military, as well, right . Yeah, i service and maintain aircraft that gets our troops back home comfortably and safely from deployment and things of that nature. Im pretty proud of that, and i take very good care of my job. Martha well, thank you so much for being here tonight and for serving our military the way that you do through your work. Im going to ask you to sing us out here a little bit, can you do a few of the last bars of the anthem for us before we say good night to everybody . Sure, sure. O say does that starspangled banner yet wave oer the land of the free and the home of the brave martha thats beautiful. I wish i could do that. Thank you very much, great to have you here tonight. Thanks for being here. Thank you. Martha so that is the story of tuesday, december the 15th, 2020. As you know, the story continues, so we will be back with you tomorrow night. We thank you for joining us tight. Tucker as of next. Good night, everybody. Tucker good evening, and welcome to Tucker Carlson tonight. We have paid close attention to a number of big elections recently, but it turns out that many of the most important elections are the ones you hear nothing about. The news media barely covers them. Most voters dont know they are happening. As a result of this, a small group of committed extremists gets to control the outcome of those elections, often with disastrous results. It happens all the time. Bill de blasio, for example, is a very famous person. When he was elected to his current term as mayor
