That border. The black flags of islam is already flying in the area. The terror group squeezes in from all sides. An aun vow calling on the world to intervene warning that civilians trapped there will be massacred. Greg palcott is live on the turkeysyrian border. What can you tell us . Gretchen, the belated but stepped up u. S. Air attacks are having an impact on isis, but the terrorists fight on. Take a look at what we saw on the border today. Appearances can be deceiving. Overall it looks peaceful today, for the past couple of hours weve been hearing battle royal coming from the center of town. According it our sources, the isis terrorists have taken the center of town over today, but according to the combat we are hearing from there, the fight is still on. Also, we have been told that isis is basically controlling a Border Crossing between kobani and turkey. That is very bad for kurds. That is the only way to get casualties and civilians out as well as reinforcements and resupply in. The terrorists are making these moves despite that increase of air activity. Since monday we count 32 u. S. Air strikes against isis in and around kobani. That compares to the week before where there was only five. There is concern here that all this is coming a little bit too late. Here in turkey is another tense night. While local politicians tell the folks to cool down, ethnic kurds are flashing security here. Theres been over 30 People Killed this week. Theyre angry about turkey not intervening in kobani, and that topic certainly jamming up meeting between general john allen, the head of the u. S. Led antiisis campaign, and assistant secretary of state brett magerk. They were meeting turkish officials. A line coming out of the end meeting with them, there is there will be a deepening of bilateral consultations. Wanted to get the wording right. That is little consolation for those hundreds and hundreds of civilians trapped inside kobani according to the u. N. Officials. Back to you, gretchen. Stay safe, greg. Thank you so much. We said the black flag of islam. It is the black flag of isis being flown in kobani. Turkey facing increased pressure now to act as isis trips them up in kobani. The u. N. Envoys. Syria now urging turkey to get involved and help save civilians trapped in the keyboarder town. Joining us Lieutenant Colonel author have american heroes on the homefront. What are we to spak of kobani . Is it a symbolic town if isis takes 100 control . It looks like its going to be just because weve got the media there. Gregs great report is dead on the mark. Its focused our attention on this tiny town right on the border, kobani, where, in fact, isiss main thrust is in anwar province, and the president of turkey, his number one goal is to prevent an iranian shiite or persian from the persian gulf from the mediterranean. Both the combatants, certainly isis and for turkey, its unlikely that turkey is going to get into this. Number two, isis is using this as a primary distraction. They have now essentially seized all of whats going on in place where i spent so many of my months over there in anwar province threatening the western approaches into baghdad, and so i look at this as a side show even though its the most visible thing we have because weve got cameras there. All right. I want to get to the baghdad situation in just a moment, but i know that you were able to get your hands on a certain photograph. What does this photo show us . This summarizes the whole problem for the turkish president. This is a turkish soldier, likely not a kurd. Probably brought from the interior units that are not or less kurdish, at least. Most of the turkish army is kurdish, but theyve got units from the western part of eastern part of the country that are not. This is a turkish soldier essentially highfiving it with an isis antiaircraft unit in kobani. What you are looking at is the reality of the problem for the turkish president and those in the United States government trying to get him into it. We cannot authenticate that photo, but it was sent to you by somebody there on the ground. I want to move back to the baghdad situation. Sure. Because apparently isis only eight miles from the suburbs now moving into baghdad. What would that mean . Well, it would mean that the u. S. Embassy is likely to come under fire. The green zone is likely to come under fire. Baghdad international airport, which is the only real airport weve got use of right now because theyre threatening all of the aircraft facilities that are west of baghdad. Youve got most of the u. S. Presence right there in baghdad itself and the Baghdad International airport. Both of which are going to be vulnerable to interact fire if they simply move another few hundred yards. They can bring the artillery in. It will be american artillery fired by isis at americans. All right. I want to move on to someplace a little bit closer to the United States. Cuba and guantanamo bay. There is word now that the white house is putting together some sort of a draft for the president maybe to issue an executive order to once and for all close gitmo. Your thoughts . Well, first of all, he needs money to do that, and congress is shut him down several times before on his attempts to do so. Im absolutely certain, we are not about to see khalid shake mohammed brought to this country and put on trial. By the way, this weekend weve got they invaded america, which is one of our war story special on fox business news, that shows how a military tribunal should be run because it was used to make sure that adolf hitler couldnt get his spies and saboteurs into this country. We will all look forward though that. Well check out the Fox Business Network for all of those reports. Thank you. The pentagon gets set to deploy for troops against our fight against ebola. Theyre going over safety procedures now at fort campbell, kentucky, where about 1,800 members of the 101st Airborne Division are getting ready to join Operation United assistance in liberia. In all bshgs 4,000 u. S. Troops are expected to take part in that operation. Time for some real talk now because the midterms just a few weeks away, and New Hampshire Center Jeanne shaheen, a democrat keeping her distance from president obama as she runs for reelection. She was asked who she would rather have campaigning with her, the president or the clintons . She said we actually have Hillary Clinton coming up and former president clinton is going to be here next week. She says its important for him to continue to address whats happening with isis, to continue to address the ebola scare, so i expect him to be in washington. Julie, political advisor to the late new jersey senator frank lautenberg, mike gallagher, syndicated radio talk show host. Both agree on being fox news contributors. If we have to. You may agree on this topic too. Let me start with you, mike. Jean shaheen, they just want president obama to stay in d. C. And out of their state. That audio clip was better too. They asked her four times the Editorial Board of the paper, did you vote for president obama, and she said everything except, oh, you know what the capital of pennsylvania is . I mean, she wouldnt give an answer. Democrats are clearly uncomfortable being associated with president obama. What i think this means is there is an air of desperation among democrats. Now, whether thats borne to fruition or not, we wont know for a few weeks. They are terrified to be associated with the commander in chief. I do remember who i voted for for president in 2008, and i do remember who i voted for in 2012, and for that matter 2004 and 2000 and 1996, et cetera. How can allison lundegrandgrimes not remember who she voted for . She looked at a couple of polls, and found what i think others have found. , things that even i have found is that president obama isnt very popular right now. As a result of that, if you are campaigning, especially in a tight race like she is in kentucky, jean shaheen is in a tight race and mary landrieu. You are going to say youre there to represent kentucky or New Hampshire. Youre not going to be a dont the voters see through that, though . This election will be based on a few things. Its going to be a referendum on obama, in which case theyll get the senate back because obama is not doing well anywhere. Im not pretending i is. Or it could be a rep referendum on leadership and on issues that affect people day in and day out, and that gives them a standing chance. Do you agree with the first issues . I agree with the first one, and im not sure the republican is the issue. The senate is controlled by the democrats. The question for republicans is will republicans take over the senate . Its democratic leadership. You got a democratic white house. You got a democrat senate. Youve got a big mess from ebola to isis. Americans are not very confident right now in our leadership, and i think were going to see it here. I will say this, if you are running for senate in the tough race, this is not part of the issue, you are going to make, if you are a democrat, youre going to say, look, heres what weave offered or what we will offer. Heres what the republicans would offer if they are going to be in charge. Thats what im talking about. Republican leadership being in place, and thats more you got to be able to say, okay, he is the president. Im a democrat, says allison lund grandgrimes. She wouldnt even satisfy say that. Im a democrat. I voted for republicans in my day. You cant guarantee. Did you vote for president obama . I did vote for him in 2008 and 2010. Her memory is good. Have a fantastic weekend. Because the answers you need, may be closer than they appear. Juicy details of scandals and controversy from the clinton era now out in the open. About an hour ago the Clinton Library released 10,000 documents. The seventh batch to become available to the public. This one getting a ton of attention because it includes topics that dominated headlines at the time like white water, Monica Lewinsky, and the sudden suicide of Deputy White House counsel vince foster. Here to talk about all this and try to break it down, allison barber, a writer with the Washington Free beacon. All right. I want to call your attention to two things that came out. What do you know . Thats right. Basically theres a document thats in here, and i have the email in front of me right now, and its an email that comes from someone inside the white house forwarding what looks like a news memo to a. P. Staffer. Apparently olbermann talked to president clinton apologizing for whatever part i may have played in perpetuating this creaseless coverage of the lewinsky story. Then ma email goes on to say from a staffer that he may be going back to sports coverage. He has talked about that. This was after 1998. What do very make of that . Its all really interesting. I think this is kind of what you get from a lot of these documents. There may not necessarily be one explosive bombshell that is going to make waves or release something that everybody didnt know about, but there are a lot of details to so many of these stories that a lot of people remember or have heard of that were controversial during the clinton presidency, and afterwards we get the details through these documents that we didnt know before. Like you said, its 10,000 documents. Just to give you an idea of some of the things that are in there, theres seven different parts on white water alone. There are sections on vince foster, Hillary Clintons senate campaign, and one section i was skimming through about what was known as travel gate, and that section alone had only 167 pages within it. I think a lot of what we see coming out of it are just really interesting details that we really didnt know before. All right. Let me ask you this. Many people believe that Hillary Clinton is running for president. Does any of this affect her campaign if she decides to run, and should it . You know, im not sure. I dont think i wouldnt expect there to be any particular bombshell that would maybe derail or uproot her campaign, but i do think theres been some information in here that could have an impact on it, and i think a lot of the reporting that some of my colleagues at the are free beacon have done is evidence of that. There is a lot of information about the clinton that is we didnt know before, and there are still documents and new information to be found and to be reported on, and i think thats kind of the thing that you can remember with any of these documents. Just that theres still information out there that maybe we dont know, and maybe information that is going to be valuable to potential voters in 2016. You have to remember the youngest voters in 2016 are going to be born in 1998. Theres a lot of information that if Hillary Clinton is the president ial nominee in 2016 and right now shes the most formidable challenger that actually does need to be taken into account and reviewed and kind of reported on and looked into further. All right. 10,000 pages. I guess i know what you are doing this weekend. Oh, yes. Thanks so much. Thanks. Well, talk about taking the bull by the horns. The bold request by one wells fargo employee that might involve hundreds of thousands of his fellow coworkers. And judges right here in new york state hearing a landmark case considering whether a chimp can ever be considered a person in the eyes of the law. Were not kidding. What do you think about that . Welcome back to the real story. A new York Appeals Court hearing a landmark case over whats being called chimp personhood. Check out this 26yearold chimp named tommy being kept in a cage in upstate new york. A group known as the nonhuman rights project taking his owner to court to fight for his relief a wild and dangerous animal as a human. Someone who is an autonomous and selfdetermining human being off to be a legal person who has a right over the habus corpus to get out of being held for his entire life in solitary confinement in a cage. Well, the groups founder and attorney argues tommy is the equivalent of a human child and it can be assumed he doesnt want to spend his life alone in a cage. If the groups appeal is granted, they will argue tommys case, again, in a lower court. Let me know what you think about that one. Talk about a gutsy way to ask for a raise. A portland man getting widespread attention after sending an email to his boss, the ceo of Wells Fargo Bank and copying not just one person, but 200,000 of his fellow Bank Employees on an email. Reading, in part, my estimate is that wells fargo has roughly around 300,000 employees. My proposal is to take 3 billion, just a small fraction of what wells fargo pulls in annually, and raise every employees annual salary by 10,000. This equates to an hourry raise of 4. 71 an hour. Time for real talk with our man handle, dr. Daniel, psychiatrist and addiction specialist, paul, comedian and host of the paul mccurie show on itunes, and weston, gop strategyist and former twotime congressional candidate. Im going start wi the psychiatrist. All right, doctor. Is this the best way to go about trying to get a raise . I think the guy will be working for the bank of america by the end of the day. His email account has been shut off. This probably violates their spam policy, emailing 200,000 people. I mean, its an old story. You know, the rights of the worker versus corporate profits, and, i mean, i think the only novelty is the fact that he sent it to 200,000 people, but i think wells fargo probably spent more time thinking about their statement that they were going to release to the press than actually considering his offer. I dont think he probably went about it the right way. Funny you have written that up because a spokesperson for wells fargo has only sent out an email saying the firm offers competitive pay, benefits, and development opportunities, and she they support and value every team member. They said they were on vacation from last week. Was this the right move for him to do . I understand. Look, ask for a raise, but it was dumb, it was passive aggressive. Look, normally when you want to get a ceo to treat its employees better, you sent three goats on christmas eve, right . You know, this is going to be one Awkward Office christmas party. Its like, hey, boss, did you lose weight . No, just half my salary thanks to you. Isnt this what capitalism is all about, weston . It reminds me kind of of the occupy wall street thing that was going on a couple of years ago where, you know, part of society believes that everyone should be paid the same wage, and another part of society believes that, well, you get paid for the job that you do. Sure. If there were rules against sending an email to 200,000 people, they werent very tightly enforced. Its 2014, not 1998 when it was easy to cc the whole company. He got away with it. He is making 15 an hour. I think kudos to the ingenuity. He got ahead of the other 199,000 people. The Marketing Department would be smart. Maybe the Technology Department because he figured out the 200,000 emails. Its sort of like i understand that he has the right. I agree with you. But i dont think its going to he makes 15 an hour, and so he has a right to sort of he bobbinged this guy. He boxed the ceo. He has the worst people skills of anybody affiliated with wells fargo since jesse james. He is a mess, right . On some level i feel like, you know, if he would say, oh, well, the workers, theyre the plight of the workers, but dont box the guy. If he came into your office and needed an appointment what would you tell him . I would probably put him on medication very quickly. Businesses are not for the common good. Theyre here to make profit. Everyone knows that where a they are less concerned about their heart than their wallet, and i think thats pretty much obvious. He should have taken the suggestion of microsoft ceo and just put out good karma and everything would have been fine. Ah. Very funny you bring that up. Five major airports starting extra screenings this weekend to look for patients with potential ebola symptoms. The house Homeland Security committee holding a hearing today at the fort Worth Airport two days after a liberian man infected with ebola died in a dallas hospital. We need to ensure that state and local responders nationwide are prepared to move quick if the virus is detected anywhere else within our borders. Senior National Correspondent john roberts, live for us in atlanta. John, were learning something new about Thomas Eric Duncan today. What is it . We are, gretchen, and, unfortunately, its very disturbing what were learning. The family of Thomas Eric Duncan who continues to be in isolation and thankfully not showing symptoms at this point released his medical records his temperature spiked to 103 degrees. Whoever was taking down his records put an exclamation point beside it. The hospital also was told that he had just come in from liberia. Yet, nobody connected those two dots. A very big ball was dropped. He was sent home after that visit. That incident was front and center today at the Homeland Security committee hearing. House Homeland Security Committee Chairman saying the nation cant afford to repeat the mistakes that happened that night. Heres what he said. We must learn from these missteps and insure that proper procedures are established and followed should another case arrive in the United States. Now, there was also skepticism expressed at that hearing as to whether or not the screenings at five airports which begin on sunday which begin, rather, saturday, tomorrow, at j. F. K. Are going to be enough. Whether it needs to be more airports or whether people could fall through the cracks. Gretchen. What else is happening around the world with regard to ebola . Obviously a lot of anxiety here in the United States, but also elsewhere in madrid, spain. Seven more people have gone into isolation because they had contact with theresa romero, the nurse who contracted ebola after treating a missionary who had returned from west africa to spain for treatment. She is said to be desperately ill. None of them showing symptoms at this point. Dr. Kent brantley, youll remember him, he was the missionary medical missionary from samaritans first, the very First American doctor to contract ebola and survive. He spoke in abilene krern university today. He said his heart goes out to anyone who has had contact with his disease. I want to tell you all that ebola is serious. Its real. Its a terrible, terrible disease for those who have it. For those who are close to them. We are understanding from press release from the Nebraska Medical Center that the nbc cameraman who was recently medevaced back from west africa with ebola is showing some slight signs of improvement. He is thirsty. He is asking for something to drink, and his father is cautiously optimistic, gretchen, that he is going to pull through this. Well see. Wow. Great news on that front. John roberts, thank you so much. So a lot of you may be very concerned or anxious over ebola, but whether its ebola or some other disease that has you worried, my next guest says prayer can help you get through some mighty tough times. Max, pastor and bestselling author of his latest book before amen, the power of a simple prayer and he is my guest again. Great to see you. Good to see you. Were talking about ebola and skajzs like the secret service. Were talking about isis. Many people are anxious. How does prayer help us get through these times . I just have a feeling that people are more anxious than they have been in quite some time. These are news reports were not accustomed to hearing, right . The isis beheadings, the ebola outbreak. This is like reading a Science Fiction novel, and, yet, were seeing it on the news. Its causing such a huge sense of unrest in our country. There is a wave of anxiety and panic thats really unprecedented. Weve got to address this you find immediate peace by turning these concerns over to god. Another very tough topic is christians over in the middle east right now being persecuted by isis. Were hearing that theyre being eradicated. Wrau. What do we do about this . Again, i think our First Response is always prayer. I really do. I think our First Response is to say, god, we need some help. This is a problem bigger than we are able to solve. We dont have the wisdom for it. There is a tendency to say that prayer is something that is a last resort. If we could lead off as people with prayer, i believe we would place ourselves in a posture of peace from which we can make better decisions, and i believe from which we receive super natural assistance. Thats so insightful because we do often go to prayer as a last resort. Now, in your book before amen, is it true you are a selfprofessed prayer wimp. You are a wimp when it comes to prayer . How could that be . Ive always struggled with prayer. Why . Ive always admired people who get prayer. I never felt like i prayed enough. I wondered if i prayed right . Did i pray long enough . As i have been around, i realized im not alone. I took the prayers of the bible, and i reduced them down to one prayer, and for years ive used this one single prayer to guide my thoughts when i pray, and as ive shared it, people like this idea, and so i have made the book about it. Its so simple, father you are good, i need help, they need help. Thank you. In jesus name, amen. Thats it. Max, you always have a great book out, and this one is about praying. Thank you. Thank you, gretchen. Time to check in with Harris Falkner in for shep today on the fox news desk. Whats coming up . Well, this is whats developing right now. We have heard that this was the goal. Islamic state fighters now are just a few miles from baghdad, according to pentagon officials, and heres why it is so critical for america. The baghdad green zone is home to the Worlds Largest u. S. All right. Thank you so much. Fox news alert right now, breaking news coming in. Were getting word that the Army War College has just revoked senator john walshs degree. A large army base in Washington State now giving vietnam vets the respect and the honor they deserve, but never got when the war ended nearly four decades ago. Dan springer, live for us at fort lewis in Washington State. Dan, where do this all these years later . Yeah, its a good question, gretchen. One reason is to right a wrong. One of the speakers, a general, said yesterday at the ceremony, its never too late to say thank you and to welcome home someone who has served this country so proudly. About 2,000 of those vietnam vets showed up here at Joint Base Lewis Mcchord to be honored where heed. There was a color guard, gun salute, and pinning ceremony. All the stuff we see when troops come home from iraq and afghanistan, but these vets were denied that because the vietnam war turned so unpopular. Many vets told us they refused to talk about their service for decades. They were afraid of the reaction they would get. Pat ferguson remembers kissing the ground when he got home, but then being told to change into civilian clothes quickly and look out for protesters. He called the welcome home a healing. It kind of plugs a hole in my soul there that theres some recognition that this contempt army is doing the same thing for us that they do for their own returning troops. But sometimes maybe you agree with me that when people make statements like this, it brings awareness to a greater cause. And like i said issue it was unfortunate he made it, but it sure is bringing awareness to a topic that is incredibly important. Thats a really good point to make. I want to move on to this. This is something youre passionate about in the girls toys you make, the dahls dolls you make. You believed that our society was becoming sexualized with different kinds of dolls. Now the Advertising Industry is catching up. In what way to empower women . Oh, i think it is wonderful what pantene and dove and always are doing. Theyre empowering women, empowering girls, giving girls a positive message, when i started my business in 2009, this wasnt it. The go go sports girls were told i was told by many retailers that you will never be on store shelves because theyre not main stream, not fashion enough. Well, five years later, theyre in walmart stores. So, main stream ideas, im creating change why has this change . Do you believe its because more women are making the advertising decisions or that suddenly as a society we have realized that some of the messages were sending to girls are not the right thing . I think that as a society we are seeing that positive messages are needed for our girls, to make it balanced to make it 5050, so we see the world equally. So theres that gender equality, and not the gender inequality that is happening. Jody norgaard who a year ago today went makeup free today. Great to see you. Thank you, gretchen. Time for my take. I dont care what your Political Party is, your religion or what state you live in i know one thing. We should all be for the empowerment of women and girls. I want my daughter to grow up with the world in front of her and the ability to be anything she wants to be. And i thank god every day that any mom told me that my mom told me that message. Its how i became a huge believer in building selfesteem from the inside out, especially for girls. I encourage you to watch the youtube video, like a girl, it shows girls being asked to run, hit, and throw, like a girl. Sadly, teenage girls portray each of those actions on video as a negative, like doing things like a girl is weak. But when young girls before pub puberty are asking to do it, they run and hit and throw as if their life depended on it. So when does the image of ones self change . We should all be for the empowerment of women and girls, and i know ill be honoring the International Day of the girl with my daughter tomorrow. Coming up on the real story, sounds like the beginning of a joke. A horse walks into a play station, right . Really, look. How this all turned out when he come back.
