The need for this conservative populism was obvious before coronavirus, shut down and george ford. Now the stakes are even higher. The shutdown has destroyed the economy. The graduates that went into debt and studied science, technology, engineering and math. We know thats how wages go up. I think the immigration issue in the jobs issue are directly connected right now. Theres 25 to 30 Million People still out of work and the president should stand firm and not continue to issue h12 visas are each 1b visas. The young graduates that have gone into debt and studied in these fields, they need to be priority. When theres more job openings and we can fill them, find them we can consider things like tom cottons act. But joe biden wants to keep pandering for the interests of other countries and their people and but im in a put our graduates and our people first. Thats a key point, to go into the campaign with really simple pledges and which really provide. [inaudible] were not going to import anymore workers until unemployment is back to the level before. Whatever people might scream on tv about that being racist, i think the majority of americans would be with him on that. Because weve already seen that work weve had this extraordinary renaissance that was unable to happen at any other point. It was all of these issues together. We know when immigrants come in the work for less money that drives wages down and who does that hurt the most, people of color, people on innercity, why in gods name would we do that. The democrats want that to happen again, the democrats like people in the innercity to struggle t to just barely make it to pay their rent and also the president has got to stop listening to Big Government republicans and a lot of republicans said no to this extra 600 a week on the Unemployment Insurance which of course is an incentive to stay out of work and now the democrats want to extend that to at least the end of the year. That is a guarantee of americans not going back into businesses to work their jobs which is key for the economy, key for businesses to be able to open up. We have to make it once again and encouragement to go and work and of course the government is paying you money to live is the ultimate dream by the left and the president has got put an end to that and make sure it does not get extended beyond july. Were hearing that the president will in fact extend the bam on immigration which came in recently in response to the shutdown which is great. We are arguing to elevate that and make it a Central Campaign pledge but the one bit that surprises me is what were hearing is Agricultural Workers will be exempted from that and will continue to be able, big agricultural firms will continue toward Agricultural Workers. What you think of that exemption. Im puzzled by it and that actually panders to incorporate farming, not local farming. You can have great trade deals and find the perfect balance but when youve got that kind of horrific dynamic moving through the system, all bets are off. The only way we can make sure that its not just economic, its national security, the promise that americans dont have to walk around for the next three generations and facemasks, the humiliation of this, as the strongest nation on earth, donald trump is the only one who can change this and bring us back to that and remove us from that yoke of that cancer of the Chinese Communist party. Some of you have been saying on twitter at steve hilton asked, that its all well and good to say we should restrict immigration including for ecker Cultural Workers but americans wont do those. A majority of the people who work in those top jobs in the fields picking fruit and vegetables, getting our Grocery Stores supplied, they already al are americans. In major cities Public Schools run by democrats, over two thirds of students are falling behind in reading and math and i think the numbers are worse than that, but democrats would rather deny these children the future they deserve then allow them to attend the charter, public, private, religious or independent schools of their choice. Republicans believe access to education is a civil right, its a civil right. That was a fantastic commitment from the president last night. I saw parents desperate to get their children out of those schools and into Better Schools, and then to be looked at by bureaucrat and say well, we need to get more money, will do another ballot measure i will get more money and everything will be better. Meanwhile there kids are aging out of these failing schools. It is a civil rights issue but particularly in the black community this is a huge issue for our community, and every child has the right to a solid and good education and its been my experience that people who dont have to worry about that dont even think about how awful it is to be trapped in the community where you dont have the choice to pick another school that will suit your childs needs. We would never ever be in favor of Grocery Stores being zoned like that. You can only go to this ones Grocery Store and if its in your zip code thats the only one. We would never do that. Education is far more important. So this is absolutely a social rights issue of our time. This is an issue of being able to choose opportunity. Thats exactly right. As you said, although it clearly helps africanamericans, were talking about everyone. Everyone would benefit from this and thats the beauty of this policy. We talked about this before, and you make the point, the republican party, although ideologically and in policy terms committed to this cause havent made nearly enough of it in the political sense, could you explain that . Well, ill explain this, i dont think theyre saying enough about it politically. If you look where i am right now in florida, governor Rhonda Santos got 18 of the black female vote when he was running for governor. The reason he got that percentage of the vote is School Choice. That is a staggering number, particularly for africanamerican women voting for republican candidate and i think that is not seized upon by republicans and by conservatives and people who are pushing this message out there. I am a very big proponent of School Choice in the reason why im such proponent of it is because i have the personal experience of having gone to fail Public Schools from akron ohio. Im likely put my high school out on blab but its graded f by the ohio public system. It has 6 of proficiency, 18 in reading professing feet. I graduated well over a decade ago and this has not changed. I think about how much more opportunity and much more options i wouldve had had i been able to choose to go to a Better School and have that choice. I think we are missing a major chance to message about something that is really beneficial to particularly African American families we talk about School Choice. And last point, the the politics of this, we were talking earlier about dividing lines in the election. This is such a clear dividing line because the democrats are totally against this, mainly because of funding. Theyre completely owned by the private sector union, especially the teacher unions are dead against this so for republicans to campaign on this is a massive opportunity. Its huge. They shouldve been doing it a long time ago but it is what it is. You have to make the democrats take a position on this because their position is wrong and the right position is actually part of the republican platform so go ahead and let them back themselves into a corner. Make joe biden defend why a young black mother in the innercity does not have the right to move her child to a school that safer and has more educational opportunities. Let biden defend that. They cant and thats why theyre always distracting. This is an acrosstheboard winner. Rob pointed out earlier with what happened in florida, overwhelmingly, especially minority parents are in favor of School Choice and its really a bipartisan issue. Ive seen people cross the aisle to vote for it. There is no losing on this. Except from a political perspective it a good guy versus bad guy which is what you want. The bill i introduced, hr 5916 is called the transparent healthcare pricing act of 2020. It would require providers of Healthcare Products and services to publicly disclose pointofsale cash prices. The concept in the bill itself is extremely simple. When you receive care or treatment, you should know up front on the front and how much your care will cost you, and thence in contrast to the Affordable Care act that came in at nearly 2700 pages, this bill is just one page. Actually its just one sentence. It says not later than 90 days after the date of the enactment of this act, all providers of the public healthcare shall publicly disclose on the internet and in print pointofsale cash sale prices of such products and services. Thats it. Simple and direct. Here we are, and if i may now introduce the author or the man behind that simplicity, you been working on this for a long time. It was always your vision that this could be put into one line bill and now mike has done it. Tell us why you thought this was such a priority in terms of healthcare policy. We dont compare races and options before buying and the final thing id say is just every american family, particularly in the middle class is affected by this. The average family in america forks over more of their hard earned income to their local hospital than to the irs.
